Hi, I posted a few times in that other post of yours about this issue, in the end a lot of people were having the same trouble on tytn and Universal devices, so I decided to contact t-mobile.
Today (Wednesday 9th Aug) they sent this reply...
Sorry to hear you have experienced difficulty in using the GPRS service, The service its self was going through a software upgrade and has now been resolved, If you preform a soft reset on the device a re try the issue should be resolved,
If you still are experiencing the issue tomorrow then please try your SIM in different device and then reply to this email with the result
Hope this information helps
Dave
T-Mobile
If you are still having trouble with your devices on Thursday 10th I suggest you contact T-Mobile.
Same of the Wizard yesterday
I had the same problem on the Wizard on TMobile, although the problem started maybe 3 weeks ago and culminated yesterday when I could not access web pages and emails. The connection was established though, although it got stuck forever on the "locating" status.
I thought I would upgrade to the 2.26 rom, which I did last night and since then everything works fine and the gprs is fast (probably faster than it used to be, although I have not looked at the connection speed using Spb GPRS).
I've been using my TyTn with WnW for a couple of weeks without seeing this issue. Last night I was using it while driving (not me driving the wife was!) for over an hour and it was happily switching between GPRS and 3G. It locked up once, but clicking refresh sorted it.

Hello people, I have a question: Does anyone know why or how WIFI works for me only with version 1.23. And not with 1.3x or 2.0X?

I guess even HTC does not know why WiFi sometimes stops working.
My Legend got the 1.3x update OTA without any problems. When later the 2.0x update was pushed my WiFi stopped working. It showed no MAC adress in the adapter infos.
I wrote a support request to HTC but did not get an answer for about 2 weeks or so.
I found the thread here on xda developers in which is explained how to downgrade your legend. I downgraded my phone, WiFi worked again. I installed the 2.0x update OTA again and this time WiFi worked.
A few days later I received an answer from HTC. Only boilerplate stuff, not helpful at all. Later I received a mail asking me to rate their service - they received the worst marks in this rating.
When I was on holiday last week I got a phone call from HTC. Too bad I was abroad and had to pay high roaming costs - so I kept it short. They asked me about my WiFi problem. I told them that they were of no help but I solved the problem on my own. They wanted to know how and I told them.
I am sure they have no idea what causes WiFi to stop working after an update. Seems like some randomness.
Anyone have this problem??? it started after updating with RUU...
P.S. my old nokia detects the networks in the area btw my Legend doesn't.

search the forum. its already there.. was answered a cpl of days ago
I searched ... there is no answer to my problem.... I'm not froyo yet. I used the RUU to update to 2.03xxxxx.
One problem I always had was the Regulatory Domain settings. After every restart or reset it was back to max 11 Wifi Channels, while my Router ran on 14.
The result was, that I couldn't find the Router (my own Wifi network) and it took me awhile to figure it out:
Wifi-Settings/Advanced/Regulatory Domain on an unbranded Legend from Singapore.
Don't know if that helps with your problem.
Thx for the reply. My problem was different... I couldn't detect ANY wifi networks.
But I fixed it .... After the RUU update my old saved wifi networks where still there, and when i removed them ... now everything is fine
Hi all,
this is my first post so please don't shoot me ;-)
I own a Wildfire since November 2010 and am quiet happy with it.
I was happy with froyo update but now I experience a few problems.
Maybe you could help.
Wildfire has froyo and Vodafone Germany Branding
First one of the problems is GPS.
I drove 4h this week end and noticed that sometimes GPS cut off.
It is on but doesn't receive any signals anymore. Also GPS has become slow to aquire position after froyo.
Aquiring a fix has become faster with 3G on. Always thougt A-GPS data was broadcasted by cell and didn't require internet access.
Major problem si that drop of the GPS which is very annoying.
Had to reset the phone, which is a real pleasure while driving ;-)
Second one is Wifi.
After Froyo update I have to kick my universitys wifi profile every week and
recreate it because after several days it stops working. With 2.1 it was always fine.
Wifi Net is a Cisco with WPA Enterprise.
Many thanks
Fx
After updating to froyo its recommended to do a factory reset and format memory card...I think doing this will solve your problem..use titanium backup to backup applications ..
