Hey guys, recently got Hermes (TyTN), it was working fine, but now, software started bugging, just in the middle of it, totally randomly freezes and I have to restart the device. So is flashing (getting new WM into it) gonna fix this or could this be a hardware problem? Like, any hardware part being broken and causing it? Tnx in advance
Cmon guys... someone had the same problem, rite?
just bumping the thread

The problem is, my TyTN stops working totally randomly, screen just freezes and I have to take out battery out and start it again. I tried changing rom to WM6.5, didn't helped, still having the same problem as before, so its not a software issue, at least I think. So can someone please tell me whats the problem? I've been fighting it for some time, and I'm really getting tired of it, so if someone has a clue what this could be, please let me now, there is no HTC servicer near by.
Ok, you guys are the worst forum ever...
Can someone at least tell me when is wiki getting back up?

bro i think it is not software problem or rom
maybe it refer to hardwares
so it's better to show your device to a an expert

hello guys,
at first: iam polish and live in germany. i learn english at school but i think its not good enough that i can say my english is perfect so sorry for mistakes oder for some phrases that you dont unterstand.
here is my problem:
i had android with the nand method on my phone installed since 5 months.
it works perfectly without mistakes but since i think thursday i have a big problem.
when i lock the screen, i cant unlock it.
my display is not responding. i must take off the battery and turn it on again.
i thought: maybe this android version has an issue or so, so i installed an other version....same problem
at the end I was so desperated that i installed windows mobile ( a stock htc rom), but....THE SAME PROBLEM!!!
i cant unlock my lockscreen after i lock it...what can i do? is something wrong with the display? but i cant imagine this...because the display works perfectly without mistakes...
I have exactly the same problem. It started today and my suspicions are that this is a hardware problem.Otherwise I have no idea why on 2 different OS have this problem.

Hey i had the same problem a while back with my old hd2, the problem had to do something with the screen digitizer, i guess after turning on and off the phone when testing different os caused it to get messed up, so your digitizer might need to be replaced.
Hi guys, I really need some help with my HD2. The screen has become completely unresponsive to touch (hard buttons still work, so it's not really frozen).
I've performed a task29 and all that jazz but nothing worked...sidebar - I'm a bit of a noob but I've been using custom roms for almost a year now and this is the first time it's happened.
Since this is new, for now I'm blaming the latest HyperDroid-CM7 custom rom for this problem. I would post in that thread for help but I haven't accumulated enough posts yet but when I do, I'll ask again there. However, I've been installing different roms hoping the problem would disappear but even then, the unresponsive screen persists.
Anyone got an idea as to what may have happened?
Hi, it's a well known hardware fault:

Hi,
I have a very big problem with my friend's HTC Iolite. The touchscreen suddenly stop working. When tapping in one place it sometimes send me to another.I tried installing new ROM but nothing.
It actually works for 10 minutes after installing new ROM but then dies.Tried all ROM updates but nothing.
Is there a solution for this or can I throw it away?
Is the problem hardware or software based?
Thanks!!!
sorry to hear that from you, it's a hardware problem. you have to replace your touchscreen. i had the same problem, but luckily i was still in the warranty period, so i had it fixed for free.
