This Is such a nice phone. Very nice upgrade from my g1. I hope this device gets as much developer love as other phones. Cyanogen!

Back again, my friend was showing off his hd2 today and it was pretty sweet, he has wp7 on it, and it was so fast and smooth, so I was thinking about trading my vibrant 4g for one, do you think it's worth it?

But, iPhones actually get updates. Unlike the Vibrant.
Only good thing about iPhones are the updates, and the build quality (iPhone 4).
Amazing build quality, I love holding the iPhone 4. xD
yeah... here goes the android vs iphone fan-war!
i'm just gonna leave.

A troll just made me sad.
Are you switching service or can you use it with tmo? or does the upcoming merger play a roll? I do like my ipad 2 but it's very limited os.

You think if a bounty was setup to reward the first confirmed software root for 2.2 ota would encourage some development? You know money talks.

That sounds like a good enough idea to me, i need to root my phone :L
Good idea. Out if the 7 billion people in the world 1 must be able to

Unrevoked doesn't have a Wildfire to test the software is reported. LOL. Lame excuses.
They have given up on your low-end hTC phone. Move on.
Awesome! Will be staying with HTC for a long time.

Way to go HTC!
From what I've heard the 3d may be locked down
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App
I think it's too close to release for the evo 3d to be changed, or at least that will be their excuse I'm sure. They built it into the hardware after all.
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App
wow didn't know it was a hardware thing, that would really cripple the sales for devs and ppl like me who like full access to everything in the phone. I hope they can unlock it through a software update.
Sent from your Mom's Jitterbug
The cryptography and sign checking is supposedly built in to hardware. If the software can tell the hardware to ignore it, then maybe... But that may or may not be possible.

This is making me appreciate my shift even more
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App
I believe they confirmed in emails that the Evo3D will be unlocked.

That after 1 year and 3 months not one phone has come along to make me leave my evo. To be honest I've never had a phone this long, and to still be happy with it. That's why I think its amazing.

I do wish we were getting the galaxy nexus with ice cream sandwich, but it will be interesting to see what our devs will do with it on our evos!!!
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
I agree. But if the new galaxy nexus makes its way to sprint I'm jumping ship in a heatbeat haha

I'm going to be very happy with ICS on my Evo when it lands in a few months. The phone is amazing and does everything I want it to.
Only a matter of time before an ICS ROM is developed for the 4G. Element are already popping up.
Still loving my og evo but can't wait to see what the devs can do with ics
