Menu titles disappearing?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and just installed the 3VO ROM.
This was an issue I had with my Dash 3G even when I was on WM 6.1 - but I notice that when I'm in the Start Menu, the text in top black bar at the top of the screen which has the Time, Signal, Battery Meter, etc. disappears? Because I have my start menu titles disabled, it's a little difficult to navigate because I can't see what any program/folder is called.
It seems like it's being forced to the left; it recenters once I reboot my phone - but otherwise, I don't know what's up. I can post a screenshot if my description's a little ambiguous.

Weather function no longer works!

I have had my phone for about a month now, and use the weather function a lot by pressing just under the clock on the Home screen.
Today, out of the blue, I press it, and it appears to register (ie: the screen depresses) however nothing happens at all.
This happens regardless od whether I am connected to the internet or not.
The only thing I have installed is Resco Explorer, and made only a few registry tweaks, which I am sure were performed correctly.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

try turning the tab off and then on again.

What do you mean by "turning the tab off"?

when you go to the weather tab, you can update the weather of your location?

I've seen this a few times, the weather area turns off white when you tap but doesn't open the weather tab.
simple soft reset cures it.

No soft reset didn't fix it.....but....
Yesterday I clicked Menu, Personalize Home Screen Tabs.
I UNchecked "weather" because I thought what's the point of having a tab for it when I usually just tap under the clock.
I re-checked it, and now it works! I'm so sorry to have wasted your time! But truly appreciate your efforts in helping me. Thanks guys.

My problem is different, but the question is the same.
i'm in holland and since halfway last week my location in the weather tab failed to update, but i did get weather information... until 2 days later. now the whole tab is unable to update its information.
the weather tab has been disabled and reenabled with a sense restart in between. yesterday i had rebooted the entire phone. both events did not help.
i tried enabling wifi for the weather update, but no luck there as well.
also, i'm not the only one. i have a friend with a newer rom (1 month old phone) who has the same problem.
any ideas?
oh and ps: the reloading animation starts up and loads for a while. then stops suddenly without notification of failure or success.

[Qeustion] Notification Bar Functionality

Question for the Devs,
I have one thing that bugs me about Android: taking a ton of steps to get to places, so I had an idea, but I'm not sure if it's possible. It's a two - parter:
1) Is it possible, to put into the notification area a scrollable list of your currently running applications, or possible your most used apps? Kinda like holding down home, but it's not the same.
2) I had a program on my jailbroken iCrap back in the day: sbsettings. LOVED this program, gave me quick access to just about anything. It's kinda like the power widget, but it was accessible from sliding your finger accross the top of the screen from anywhere. Imagine having the power control widget in your notification area.
Are the two above possible, or are there limitations to what the notification bar can do. Obviously, I'd want it so that if I hit "clear" they'd still remain there. Also, I don't want just a link poining me somewhere else, I want the action to occur right from the notification screen:

For #2 use smartbar with quick settings checked in settings for notification. It might also have #1 but I don't really poke too much around in the settings.

I use Quick Settings, which will put a notification in the pull down task bar and you have access to a number of system settings.
jkAppSwitchEX works great as a sort of AltTab type thing and you can pin it to a long press of the search button. It also can be used as a task killer and can have a list of your favorite/most used apps for easy launch (and has a recent apps list). Plus, it can put a notification in the pull down task bar. There's also a free version on the market which just shows running apps.
I also believe Folder Organizer will put apps in the task bar, I have the lite version which doesn't do that (I don't think), but I don't really need it for that, so the lite version is fine for my needs.
I've also tried SmartBar, and it does have that functionality of swiping the screen and having access to programs, etc. But it wasn't what I had been looking for when I tested it, but worth checking out.

Has anyone found a way to add the power control toggles to the notification screen as seen on the Galaxy S?

if your rooted cyanogen mod have the settings in the notification like the galaxy s or you can use a app call quickdesk you can launch quickdesk by long pressing the search button or double tap the home button in any program it has this thing call quick pannel that shows you your recently used apps and the apps thats running its really slick you can also swype up on any running apps to close them. theres also another app call itchingthumb that basically do the same thing but i like the simplicity of quickdesk more you should check them out. Theres also another app call smart task bar that can also do those thing it as the most options all you have to do is swype your finger at the side of your phone to launch it. Feel free to ask me any questions about them and I'll try to answer them. Oh yeah theres another one call power strip.

I found this thread and applied the mod to the HD ROM that I'm using, it works well.

Tnt_lite_2.20 Launcher notification bug

I encountered a weird bug. If you open the properties button on the Launcher at top of screen and then click the "notification" tab, the tab pops up but never goes away. Click the Launcher setting tab again and nothing happens. At this point I rebooted the tablet to get the notification dialog box to go away.
Any ideas?

Wow, that's definitely a bug - got the same thing with Launcher Pro when I clicked on Notifications. Needed to power down the device as it was (almost) frozen.
Anyone know if this occurs in builds before the 2.03 (performance pack)? I'm just wondering if this is the PP at work, or if this has been around since the first TnT Lite builds.

I can confirm the same results with 2.2.0 and launcher pro...almost frozen and my keyboard would not open.

I can confirm this on TnT Lite 2.00.
EDIT: I found that if I tap on the battery or wifi indicator, it resets the notifications, and the problem goes away after that.

Just wanted to confirm the same thing. I'll tap on the battery twice and that makes it go away. Glad I bought this thing, I love the feeling of discovery I'm getting from testing different apps and firmwares, haven't had this much fun since I hacked my first PSP!

Same Issue w/ ADW Launcher
I have encountered the same issue but only with ADW Launcher. Everytime I try it it eventually freezes with a white notification tab open. Launcer Pro and the standard launcher works fine. I have tried reinstalling ADW 3 different times and same results. I am running TnT Lite 2.2

I've had it happen with ADW and the swipe down action configured to pop up the notification panel. I never identified the actions it took to actually get it closed again, but I've been able to recover without having to reboot. 2.20 here for me also.

Wifi sleep policy does not work
Anybody else has this problem? My wifi immediately switches off if I put tab to sleep via power button, despite the fact that I put policy to never sleep.

If I'm understanding everyone here, when you swipe up or down on the home screen the battery notification bubble pops up and the controls on the top freeze? I fixed this by going into ADW's settings and disabled swipe up and down.
ETA it wasn't the battery bubble, it was notification bubble. My fix woiks - lol.

Tapping the wifi or battery icons does reset the notification dialog box. It would be nice not to have to do this though.

I found this to be a problem when you have gestures activated in ADW. I don't make my notification bar disappear, so I disabled gestures and the launcher notification bug went away. Of course, this does take away the gesture functionality, but it's something I only accidentally did anyway.

On a different note, thanks for your awe review of the g-tablet, made me go out and buy one!
You mention that it was hard to see buttons in the dark, I worked aroundit but using the buttons on launcher pro. If Only there was an app to poweroff the device it would be great.

I have this issue also. Mine comes from opening. FROM HOMSCREEN (LAUNCHER PRO) > MENU> NOTIFCATIONS.. when opened my window feezes and I reboot to correct...

Click on the actual notification bar and it should clear it out. It seems to be a screen glitche where the pop up ends up on the left side of the screen and slightly off screen.

"Quick Boot (Reboot)" from Sirius Applications Ltd on the market will let you reboot, power off, or boot into recovery. It's free and it works since you've more than likely got root. Be careful though: it does have a 29.18kb footprint if you're short on space. B)

1. the battery display isn't correct when I turn off the phone and restart again. It turns 42% to 35% immediately. After I undergraded to 4.0.4, it turns back to 43% again.
2. My Wechat app can not open QQsnyc, it turns black and nothing happens.（not important）
3. I touch the menu button, and touch the Setting icon but it won't open.While I open the apps icons on main screen, if I touch menu button, three icons will appear on background, namely Wallpaper, Widgets and Settings, really do not know why.
4.Yep lots of apps can not run on ART. But this is not your problems i guess.
5.The internet browser will shut sometime for no reason.

1) - Nothing to do with Omni. The entire Galaxy S2 family (anything with a MAX17040 fuel gauge) has done this since day one - Touchwizz, CM, Omni, doesn't matter.
2) No clue here. A recent merge of Qualcomm stuff to frameworks/av appears to have broken some camera/video stuff on Exynos devices. Unfortunately the merge happened just before the Thanksgiving holiday so a number of us were spending a few days with family and haven't had time to get things cleaned up.
3) Not sure, guess that might be a launcher bug. I admit, I use Apex...
4) That's common to any device with kitkat
5) Haven't had this happen to me yet... Would need a logcat to take a look.

Am new to OMNI and would like to submit a bug report.
Where can I find instructions to do that?
