Won't turn on! :( - Touch CDMA General

So last night at kickball, I sent a text to my wife. The next game, I wanted to see if she texted back, and my phone was off. I didn't remember the battery being low, but thought that perhaps it might have been. When I got home I plugged it in and got nothing. I tried to do the Power/Camera/Reset to see if it would go into bootloader; again nothing. I left the battery out all night, put it back in this morning, still nothing. I've tried usb charging and wall charging as well, with and without the battery. Nothing turns it on... is it done for?

Same thing happened to mine recently. I know the battery was low, and it turned off because of that. Never got it to turn on again.
The only sign of life mine shows is that the red led will turn on if you have it plugged into a charge with the battery out. Other than that, it's a paperweight.
Never got mine working again.

I took mine apart, and somehow got it to turn on again... it was a messy process.. something must be shorted out. Going to have to get something new soon.

i have just the same issue with moto milestone ... i am sure that the battery is fully charged, cause ive charged it with another milestone ... but that one simply won't turn on ... tried different combinations of sd/simcard/battery on and off .. still the same ... Any help would be highly appreciated.

same issue here, mine just stopped working yesterday, battery was fine, i did a soft reset randomly, and then it wouldn't turn back on. Both the talk and end lights are on, that's it..

Mine does the same thing since it was dropped in water. It had'nt been turned on for 2 years since I decided it would work! It still does the red light thing sometimes, but all I got to do is remove battery, try power button and repeat the process until it works. Try it out!

Think my phone is dead

Started last night. Phone would just shut down all by itself. Thought the battery was dead so I tried to charge it. No LED showing charging. Took the battery in and out several times till I finally got it to boot. Battery showed about 70% or so. Used it for a while, then BAM, shut off again. Placed on the charge got an LED this time, red. Wake up this morning and try to boot the phone. LED is green and looking good.
Worked most of the morning, then it was dead when I took it out of my pocket. So I go and get a new battery for it. Does the same damn thing. I am running CM 5.0 or so on it. Tried charging both USB cable way and direct to the wall.
Now I have used recovery screen, right when I go to wipe it dies out.
Will only boot if I take the battery in and out several times and finally will get G1 screen. Sometimes it will reboot itself, other times the screen just fades away.
And Ideas?
BTW, nothing happened to it recently. But it did get wet about 8-9 months ago. I stuck in a ceiling fan to dry it out for 2 days. Has worked perfect since that day until last night.
Update:
I was able to flash Zdonut 2.5, get to the sign in screen, goes black and reboot
New battery fully charged.
I even tried an old back up with same symptoms.

I have got the same symptoms, my screen fades out and the only thing I can do to power it up again is to remove the power plug and the battery.
Nothing brutal has happened to it, it started after I installed CM5-test1 on it but I have no idea if it's related or not.
Now it's living less and less time, I'm able to boot to recovery but usually not to boot into my OS (tried to reflash superD).
I think I need to get it to warranty, but for that I would like to restore my Orange Rom, but I'm afraid to do so as I have the newest radio, the haykuro SPL and a phone that may power off at any moment...

[Q] battery problem, red led light is blinking, bought new battery, no bettering

Hi guys!
I know, that there are some threads about the topic, but i think, here it is a bit different...i´ll describe:
Everything was OK with my withe G1, since I forgot to recharge the battery, and the G1 switched off. I wanted to recharge it, but - you know- the red led light blinked...i read different threads etc, and then I decided, to buy a new battery. The new battery arrived yesterday, and I put it in my G1, tried to switch it on, and it worked. I was quite happy! I taped it on the charging unit, and the first problem: the battery display didnt moved, it remained at 23%, also after a few hours at the charging unit. I knew the problem, because it was the same with my old battery, but it doesnt interest me, because the battery recharged, only the battery indicator showed that not. I thought OK, dont thinked about it, and waited. Today: I took my G1, yes, battery display at 23%, no problem. I switched it off and after a few hours I wanted to switch it on. Second problem - F**K! The red led light blinked...and now, the battery doesnt recharge at all. The G1 works now only, if the charging unit is put on it, if I remove it, the G1 switchs off. Its the same behavior with the old battery.
I dont know what to do now, because i dont think, that it is a hardwarebug, because yesterday it worked, with the brandnew battery. Or is it possible, that the G1 destroys my batterys while switching it off?
I hope, that there are solutions for this...because im loosing my temper slowly...
Can you charge the battery if the phone is off? Red led light should show. You should wait even 30-60 minutes for this - it depends of battery discharge. If the red light will not show this will means that your hardware is broken (phone or phone charger). You can try use another phone charger to test.
That works sometimes....at the moment not, but one hour before, yes.
I had the G1 with the USB cable on the PC, the phone was off, the light was red (not blinking). I waited about 50minutes, then disconnected, tried to switch it on - nothing except a red led light - blinking
At the moment, there isnt any led light, if i connect the phone to the charger unit or the PC...
It looks like hardware problem :/
Would be OK, because there is still warranty.
But what irritates me, is, that it worked without problems, when the battery was charged. Also with the new battery...worked good, since I switched the phone off.
I only want to be sure, because the return merchandise authorization (rma) takes quite long time...
I have the same problem. last week i bought the phone, and used it till the phone battery was empty. I tried to recharge the phone, but i wouldn't go on, only the red light blinking. I had the phone charged for 2 days, with the og charger, no result. Looked like the phone was dead.
Today i tried it again, still no result. All of a sudden the phone turned on and was charging. It is now on 99%.
Should i contact HTC?
edit:
sorry, wrong forum
Just a wild guess. It could also be the ROM that you have. I had a similar problem with my battery drained out like that with flashing red light. Come to find out later that it was something to do with the ROM (CM6.x) that I was using.

Phone Crashes - Have to take out/in battery

Hey All,
Im runing KE2 rooted, ive noticed 3 times now going to use my phone and the screen is blank, non of the buttons do anything even holding the power button.
Only way to get it going again is to take the battery out and back in and power up the phone.
Am I alone? Ive seen posts about overheating etc? if im on my own im going to get a replacment just wanted to confirm before i ring up my provider!
Cheers, Alex.
Mine crashed twice before KE1 & 2, but since then it has been fine.
Same thing, black screen, first time I took the battery out and second time it recovered by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds.
Happened to me last night/this morning. The alarm didn't sound, nearly late for work. When I woke up look at my phone it was completely blank. Nothing, nada, had to pull the battery but still nothing so I plugged the charger in after a couple of minutes the battery icon came up.
It seems the phone lost discharged the battery completely from 78% when I went to sleep doing nothing for 8 hours.

Differnt issue, on inserting the battery back in i still have charge
Yep, I also had this problem but it only happened twice. Once before when I was on the stock firmware, and once after I updated to the first firmware. Now I am on the second firmware, it hasn't happened since but only time will tell.
I made a thread yesterday: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1081546
what did bmp.net say? (im with them also)

I'm going to see if it happens again with the latest firmware before I ring them. I did the troubleshooting thing on Samsung's site too and it says to wipe the battery pins and phone pins with a damp cloth.

[Q] Mytouch 4g died in sleep?

So, this phone was working without any problems but then my wife turned it off and left it in the drawer for about 3 weeks when she went overseas. When she got back and tried to turn it on it wont turn on. We figured it might have drained the battery so we plugged it in but now its not charging either! When I unplugged and plugged in, the LED blinked orange once but now it wont even do that either, no power, no LED, not charging either. I have tired everything, left it disconnected, battery out for an hour, then put it together and tried to charge, still nothing.
Any ideas? It is already out of warranty so talking to T-Mobile is out of question.
Nothing has been done to it, it is physically fine, it was just off for a long period and not it just wont respond.
Edit: Fixed it! I don't know what, I was almost giving up, but I took the battery out and blew hard on the battery contacts in the phone and in the charging port then plugged everything in and put it back on charger, orange light started to blink and then went solid and now its charging. I just turned it on. This phone is dodgy, no other phone hard bricks like this if you leave it off.
Some phones don't function with completely discharged battery. Actually, most of newer phones. You need to leave the battery inside and the phone connected to charger for some time, till the charging light shows up. MT4G is very far from being "dodgy", doesn't differ from many other phones that behave the same, and you were nowhere near "hard brick".
Good luck in powering up Motorola Defy with completely discharged battery.
Recoverable problem

Had a similar problem. Phone died while using it then wouldn't light up when plugged in. Left it plugged in for half an hour wouldn't seem to charge via wall or car charger. Tried doing a hard reset with/without the battery & plugged in/not plugged in in various combinations. Got nuthin. Drove around for hours looking for a replacement or open T-Mobile place, until it got too late and I went home. Live chat with T-mobile rep was a waste of time. Plugged it in the wall and left it, as this once brought back a G2 battery that I thought was cold dead. Five hours later it was lit up and charging, showing 40% charge on the battery indicator app once I turned it back on. "HTC Sense" crashed immediately on boot then recovered. Seems to be fine so far.
- Suggestion; plug it in and leave it overnight if it seems cold dead and doesn't appear to be charging. It seems to need to hit some critical threshold before it will work again (as indicated by previous poster). Also pick up a couple spares off amazon or newegg if you don't have a second phone available.

[Q] Fixed (not blinking) red light after changing battery

Hi everyone,
a friend of mine's Nexus 4 has this strange behavior.
It went into water for about 1 second: unfortunately, she was working far from home and needed to keep the phone on for working reasons, I know and told her that the best would have been to switch it off and put in a bag of rice.
In any case, after few minutes where she was not able to listen to the people speaking, and the same on the other side (she was not listened), she kept the phone in a pocket and under the sun, and suddenly everything went fine: probably some water in the audio jack made the phone think the earplugs were plugged, and then this was fixed.
In the rest of the day everything was working, and we thought that, thanks to the hot day and the phone under the sun, the humidity has dried up.
At night when she came back home, she switched the phone off and put in the rice for the night.
The day after, she tried to switch the phone on, and nothing happend.
Screen black, no signals.
After reading something on the internet, she plugged the charger, and kept power+volume down buttons pushed: after some time, the red light appears, just one fast blink and then dark again.
So, we ordered a replacement battery (I have already substituted a Nexus 4 battery of another friend of mine), which arrived yesterday. I proceeded with the substitution, everything went fine (and I noticed that the internal water detectors are still perfect white, only the one in the sim tray is pink), but when I plugged the usb charger, again nothing happened. This time, holding power+volume down made the red light appear and stay solid, no blinking, no disappearing, until I unplug the phone, at that moment it disappears.
I let her charge the phone for the whole night, but still the same issue this morning.
What can the problem be?
It sounds strange to me that at first the phone worked and then it stopped at the first switch off (and I think that she powered off and on the phone right after the incident, and was still working) :-\
And I'm not able to understand the red light behavior...can someone help please?
Many many thanks :-[
