Does Legend wi-fi chip support 802.11N like desire? - Legend General

hey guys, anyone knows if the wi-fi chip is the same has in desire? if so we can also have 802.11N wi-fi

so...no one knows?

I just got a legend and it's b/g only, if that helps. No N.

Tks mate But the desire Also has it, and it was enabled only with a hack...the problem is our chip doesn't support N...just confirmed that, the driver is different.

2.4MHz is not that bad I'm getting 11Mbits over my 2.4MHz N network which for a phone is pretty awesone I'd say. (measured with speedtest.net)

damn thats fast yea sadly i cant change my Bands to 2.4GHz becuase my router is dual band and u cant have 2 of the same bands(eg Wireless G and N on 2.4Ghz Band)
My router is dualband and on 2.4 I have it set to N+G, on 5GHz have it on N only.

3G in the U.K?

So, looking at getting one of these but won't if it doesn't have 3G.
It seems the slot has a sticker over it where I've looked at one in a store, is there a way to get it working with a PAYG 3G sim?
A500 is NOT 3G capable without custom ROM's and an external 3G module (and still isn't perfect even then). You want the A501 model which has built in support for 3G.
Or, if u r phone has a wifi hotspot, u could use that to connect the
A500

Yes but the 5ghz doesnt seem to work v well at the moment.
Does anyone know how many streams nexus 10 MIMO supports? 2 or 3 or more
I only have a 2 stream wireless router, and might consider upgrading if the nexus 10 supports more than 2 streams.
thanks

S4 wifi adapter, new standards????

I read somewhere that htc one and s4 will be having some new wifi apadters with so called new standards and we cant use the regular 802.11 bgn adapters for connectivity.
Do we need to change the router as well is that what they mean????

No. They simply added 802.11ac support so it will be compatible with the new generation of routers, but you don't have to change anything on your current one.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11ac
ofcause no new standard. no device can compatible
