Since few days ago, im using PCFighters rom. And, I have problem with charging, my battery wont charge above 50-60%. I tried deleting battery stats from recovery; i tried bump charging (although i cant charge phone while its turned off - CM7 "feature" ), i tried some method form XDA (charge phone, delete battery stats, reboot phone, remove battery from phone while rebooting, and phone still on cord etc) - but nothing works...
Battery itself lasts like usuall, 24-30hours, but this is really annoying... and, here is pic of battery usage, you can see how it oscilates on far left side, while charging, 50-60%, and thats it...
Any solution?

There are 2 possible solutions:
1. Re Flash the ROM, let it reach all load until phone turn off, charge to 100%, then Calibrate Batt, then reach the load to 0% again, then charge the batt. If the charge stay on 60%, unplug and plug your charger continuously from the outlet energy.
2. Replace your battery with a new one.
this problem have a simple solution you must download "battery calibration" or "battery calibrator" and when the phone is charged (60%) you must click the button .. if this doesn't work you can enter in recovery---> advanced---> wipe battery states

Done this already, not working (both ways)... ill reflash ROM today, and we will see does it works
Edit:
Not working... flashed ROM again, cleared dalvik/cache etc, left battery to drain out - but it wont charge over ~50% :/

also for me the charging stopped at 90% and with calibration I solved the problem :S

Thats How I Do It
I need to flash the latest recovery.img CWM v5.0.2.7 first and then wipe battery stats.
With Battery Callibration app see how high is battery voltage, when is at 60%, then share here with us.
OK, ill check it tommorow morning and type it here... thx, imenjak

After 10 hours of charging, baterry is at 52% or 3729mV... i tryed unplug/plug in for a few times, but now it wont go over 52%.
Finally the following steps helped me:
- I flashed the latest CWM recovery.img v5.0.2.7
- Boot into Recovery and did:
- "wipe cache partition"
- Inside "Advanced" both did "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and "Wipe Battery Stats"
- Power Off
- removed batterie and waited at least 5 minutes
- inserted batterie and used GT540 until it's fully empty
- charged GT540 again
- Voila: "charged 100%"

If nothing helps, try to backup your current ROM, install a different one (for example Froyo or stock Eclair) and if the same thing happens (also after calibration) then you will know for sure that the problem is hardware nature and your battery is dying. But if on different ROM you have normal battery charging then its a very weird bug.

OK, i have CWM V4.0.1.4; and never took battery for 5min or more.... first I will try with battery, than with new CWM; and on the end with another ROM... TY all for advices
Well, problem is solved... funny, but problem was in charger, or data-cable :/ With new charger, I have no more this stupid problem

Hello, i'm currently with quarx CM10 last build (2 nov). First time i installed it i noticed it help A LOT with battery consumption.. from 12 midnight till 10 am from the other day it went from 99 to 97... that is.. like a miracle. then i did something stupid.. i used "battery calibrator" and it ruined it. Today it wen from 12 to 10 am in the morning with 99 to 60 then 49 (typical battery jump)...
I repeat, it's in the night, were wifi is off, refresh is off and nothing (that's what i'm planning to discover) is running or updating.
I attach some screens.
1) first install of the new rom. you can see it sleeps like a baby.... plain.
2).. goes down.. and down... even though i'm not using it.
any comments, help or suggestions? thanks in advanced!

Make your phone recalibrate the battery. Follow the following steps:
1 Use the phone till you have 10% or less battery left.
2 Wipe battery stats from 2ndinit recovery.
3 Boot into CM10.
4 Charge your battery to 100%.
Doing this will make the phone generate a new battery stats file and should solve your problems.

i'll try that. but already done it when installed the last build for the second time. i do wipe cache / dalvik / batt stats then flash ROM and all over again with the wipes.

If you've uninstalled your battery calibrator app or if you've not used it after the wipe, then you shouldn't have any abnormal battery drain...
If wiping battery stats doesn't work, then most people recommend reflashing the ROM, but you've already done that, so you shouldn't have the battery drain now.
Just put your phone to sleep for a few hours, and let's see what happens after doing that.
This is what i did after seeing the sudden drop the other night:
- let it drain normal till the day finishes (at midnight, that's when i did the following)
- charged the battery to 100% and turn off phone.
- pull battery., connect charger to wall and recovery.
- install ROM without battery on. Wipe cache, dalvik, stats batt, install rom, wipe cache, dalvik and statts (again)
- boot into cm10, turn off screen and went to sleep.
- THIS morning, i saw it drained me up to 60 all night.
...
so as you can see.. i've already seen that after reflashing nothing has happened.
no, i didn't use again the calibrator.

I'm not 100% sure, but as far as I remember, the battery stats gets generated while CHARGING a drained battery.
That's why you should drain the battery, wipe stats and THEN charge it to 100%. As it charges, the battery sensor detects levels (15, 30, 60 and such I think) and generates the battery stats based on these readings.
Afterwards, based on these stats, it generates a reading of battery drain, as the battery sensor itself senses only certain levels.
So, drain, wipe and THEN charge. Do this and let me know if the problem still persists.

hmmm! never tried that!.. i was just charging it and it's in 90.. so i'll let it drain and tell you later thanks for that suggestion.

Just read and engrave to your memory folks! Battery calibration never ever had a positive effect on the battery life and the battery usage shown in the android in-built "Battery Use"-app... and by the way, the stats are reset every time you unplug your nearly fully charged phone from the cable.
Hey, rather than blaming your battery stats I'd search for a process running all the time. Looks like something is keeping the phone awake.
The battery calibration IS A MYTH, as explained here, so don't waste your time wiping the values in Recovery. If you don't find any hyper-active processes with the following procedure, the drops might be related to a worn battery (I don't know how old your phone/battery is).
Open a terminal console and type:
$ top -n 1|head
(if you don't have Hacker's Keyboard installed and selected as Input Method you might need to copy and paste the line above, off course without the dollar sign).
Look at the processes listed as output and paste them here.

You had it coming since you are using Swipe... It's chewing up your CPU, and consequently your battery. Search the site. Off the top of my head I think it was a common issue.

There's an interesting lesson to be learned here: if no deep sleep can be achieved, don't blame the ROM, and look for a stubborn process which refuses to stop when the kernel tell is to.
Does anyone else have a massive battery drain in Kit Kat? I can charge my Nexus to 100% and in an hour or two it's completely dead with blinking red light. I tried restarting to bootloader when it was at 5% but it was still on for like a half hour. Once I restarted my phone, my battery read 0%. I'm thinking it may be time to change the battery if no one else is having this problem.
I suggest you to reset the battery stat from the recovery. The probability that this works are low but is better then nothing.
How do I do that from recovery?
Edit: phone was charged to 98%, rebooted into recovery to see if I could wipe stats in TWRP, rebooted again, phone reads 28%, 3 minutes later it read 66%.

To wipe battery stats in TWRP:
boot into TWRP recovery
/advanced/File Manager/
folder /data/system/
click batterystats.bin
click Delete
reboot system
If you can't see the folder, you need to mount the data folder.

You should have the wipe battery stat under advanced in your recovery.
The right step to follow are:
1. charging the battery FULLY
2. wipe Battery Stats
3. don't charge the device until the battery still turns off your device because it empty
4. now again FULLY charge without interruption
Wiping battery stats does nothing, see here: http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...-battery-stats-does-not-improve-battery-life/ . Sounds like your battery is borked. May need to send away for repair. Are you still under warranty?

Yeah I figured. Thought it was a KitKat bug at first but then it started getting ridiculous. Phone was at 70%, started taking a photosphere, phone shut off, and when I turned it back on it was at 3%.
No its not. Bought it off Craigslist. Just gonna order a battery off eBay for $18 and replace it myself, see if that fixes anything.
I just got out of a similar problem.
My battery percentage was jumping all over the place.
It would charge fully in about 5 mins, and die in about 20.
Everytime I restarted the phone, it would read a different percent.
I ended up running the phone on full brightness, with like everything turned on to drain the battery all the way down.
& Everytime it would shut off cause it had no battery left, just restart it and keep draining it until when you reboot the phone it no longer turns on(because the battery if fully drained of course).
That's when it is really dead.
Then just charge it to 100%, and keep it charging for about 20 extra minutes once it hits 100%, and now it's back to normal!

That really worked? Any problems with it since and is this a common issue with the N4? For some reason it won't die when it's in the bootloader even though the percentage read 5.
So yesterday it was so dead that it gave me the red blinking light, should I charge it when that happens again and should I leave it off while charging it or turn it on and not touch it?
How many times did you have to do this until it straightened itself out?

I am currently having WakeLock problems, but I do not beleive this was the cause.
I was able to restart it after it died about 4-6 times, till it was fully dead.
Then I charged the phone, and kept it off the whole time.
I installed wakelock detector to make sure that wasn't the problem. I had this problem on the stock rom even before I rooted. So the problem hasn't persisted since?

I did a full wipe install of CM13 and the battery dropped to 0% at random times and I had to plug it in the charger for the phone to even boot as it would just restart as soon as it turned on. Anyway, i thought this is probably due to faulty battery. I purchased another one and now this one doesn't reboot at random times but seems like the phone keeps reading the battery percentage wrong, sometimes it doesn't charge over certain percent, just gets stuck at 77% or 63% or any percentage really. If I remove the battery and plug it back in, it shows a completely different percentage everytime. I have tried wiping battery stats, do a full discharge/charge, nothing seems to help. Battery drains fairly fast too, once I manage to get it to 100% it shows that expected time is like 2-3hrs if screen on. Thanks!

battery displaying different percentage after u remove it and put it back in is normal i have 3 note4s all do the same (up to 10 percentage change, it either increases or decreases) but the other issues like getting stuck on a certain percentage are not normal make sure u have the genuine battery and try stock rom.
yeah, i tried stock and the same thing really. such a random issue. I just noticed that battery charges once I turn the screen on and use it , so it only gets stuck on random percent only with screen off.

yeah, i said I wiped battery stats, which is basically recalibration
once the battery is charged to 100% it also drops first 10-20% really fast and then it gets better but still I only get around 2hrs screen time

the only way to fix this replace your battery by new one
i tried all options (Format ROM - Wipe battery status - Getting back to stock ROM - Unroot - re Celebrate apps - Changing recovery-Removing battery from device for while sleeping - charge without fast charge - charge via USB)
i asked myself after that all of this headache doesn't worth 20$, i replaced the battery with new one and its working fine now

yeah, i replaced battery as well but it's still the same issue. old one at least charged fully but would randomly reboot on me, the new one doesn't reboot but drains extra fast and doesn't always charge fully. can't believe both batteries are faulty

Power down and then out-and-in same battery and my stuck-at78%... was 100% when started.
if you having problems with auto restarting.... download the app " WAKE LOCK" and put it on Partial Wake Lock setting... your restarts will be a thing of the past.
Hello, I worked on Nougat B09 nad now B10 as Slim 4 and Slim 5 ROMs version from this forum. My problem appeared suddenly with the following sympthoms:
1. Battery lasts on 100% during normal usage discharging mode, doeas not show proportional battery usage and drop,
2. Battery can drop suddnely (or very fast) to 50 % then switch off,
3. Battery shows inconistent indications when charging in "phone off" state (eg 1 %) or when charging in "phone working state" (eg 17%) or vice versa,
4. Due to verys fast drop of indication, there is never "the 15% level" detected and the phones does not enter "Ultra power saving mode" what worked pefrectly before.
5. When battery is 1% and the phone is switch off, it needs relatively long (eg. 20 min) time to be able to boot and work again, if not - it boots, shows there is still 1% battery and switches off (in fact battery maybe already is charged partially and could work, but there is wrong 1% indications and system decides to swoitch off)
6. Soemtimes phone charges very long and still shows eg 30%, but when switched on, the battery indicator schows that is charging and battery level grows very fast, eg 1% per second or two, as it would like to achieve proper indication as fast as possible.
Overall I think battery performace is not so good, the only problem seems to be that system is given wrog batterly level indications.

Can it be hardware problem? I installed Slim 4, Then Slim 5 with and without Magisk? Is there any software partition that can be corrupted and causes bad battery indications . Should I try to lock bootloader and come back to full stock ROM? (I only do not know which boostack to use, the rest I can handle).
I am using brand new stock charger and cable in very good condition (from this model, out of the box yesterday) , other good cable and fast charger from other phone (used so far and worked very well) as well as power bank with QC 3.0 so there is not a problem of cable or charger.

I planned to do it as follows
1. Make a backup what I have with TWRP.
2. Perorm full wipe in twrp
3. Flash stock bootstrap and modem with TWRP (I do not know what is boostrap since I came here from LeEco)
4. Boot in fastboot and flash stock recovery
5. With stock recovery install stock ROM Nougat B09 (B10 seems a little bit worse)
This will guarantee I'm running stock ROM. Locking bootloader is not needed, only if I would like to return it to Gearbest for warranty.

Ok I will try. Did you mean AccuBaterry app from Play Store? Should I use paid version? Did you mean charging from 0 to 100 several times in turn or just do it from time to time? How to deduce about bettery? As I mentioned the time it works on one charge seems to be good, only indicator is showing bad values causing the system is making wrong decisions. The AccuBatery will probably take the battery level valu from the same source as system does...

First of all, there's a much easier way to return to stock :laugh: either download the stock ROM from the Download Center (the twrp flashable ROM, e.g. B10 bootstack and stocksystem) and flash them, or use EDL Tool by djkuz and install a stock file.
If you won't relock the bootloader then there's no need to install the stock recovery! EDL Tool will install the stock recovery though. or you can download the zip from the download center and flash it
the free version of Accubattery is enough. And no it doesn't take the values from the system lol... it measures current on charge and time, and calculates capacity with it.
I mean charge from 0 to 100 several times, i.e. charge to 100, use the phone until the battery dies, charge again. After 3 times the result will be pretty accurate

Well, I am not sure thi will help me. As I already mentioned the problem is bad indication, not the battery life itself. Eg ot shows battery 100% but still charging, so if I think my battery is full and dosconnect the charger it can discharge fast.
If I think about some hardware repair is it battery that shows wrong values or charging module or either component? Has battery inside any chip controlling it? When I can read about it?

Well I also don't believe it's that, but i just wanted to get it out of the way, who knows. Did you try the battery calibrator? It helped me once with 30% shutdowns
