Soft brick. No odin, mac user. Need help FAST!!!

Just restored Fusion 1.2 from Obsidian. I flash fusion 1.2 with stock kernel, it booted up fine, then restored my nandroid back up of fusion 1.2 with core R3/z4mod. Now it hangs at the vibrant screen. I still get Millie's voice on start up, but just hangs at the vibrant screen. Im a mac user, so odin cant help me. My blood pressure just went through the roof. Please help me!

Anyone? Please help.

After many tries, I made into Clockwork. Flashed a fresh fusion 1.2. Crossing my fingers.

No duel booting for me. Its a ppc mac. I will take a pc if your buying.

No don't duel boot linux, because odin doesn't work on linx trust me i have linux and bricked my phone and tried every possible program that emulates windows and it won't work. Next time you get a brick that you can't fix by getting into cockwork and flashing another ROM don't post a thread, you'll have to use odin so this means go to a friends hosue with a pc or buy one.

Mac Mistake
Getting Mac is a limiting experience. Unless, you just want to be a retail user. But, since this is a Development/mod/hack forum site on a whole, consider using a p c there is much more flexibility with using that platform

Which all the more sucks that we cannot manipulate Android OS on a device like Samsung from OSX. The world would be so much easier if everything was Unix native first before spreading out to everything else.

+1000. I love my mac. I wouldn't trade it for any pc. Even if it means I can't fix a bricked phone. Just wish I could do some dev work with it.

Buy a Windows license. Install on your Mac through Bootcamp. ODIN back to stock. Problem Solved. Don't want to use Windows, you're SOL.

This is why I'm picking up a small notebook pc....just to dev and fix.

i don't think you can run bootcamp/parallels/dual-boot a PPC mac
i'm also on PPC mac like the OP

Sometimes I wonder if people read all of the posts. I'm not bricked anymore, and I have a ppc mac. Cant duel boot it. No intel chip in it. I know odin runs only on windows, whats why I asked for help. So thanks everyone.

I wanna update my dell streak. But i have a macbook pro as my pc is currently outta commision. any way i can do this using my mac?

I have a MacBook pro too. Unfortunately there isn't much help for us mac users. I ended up installing windows 7 though bootcamp. Not hard to do at all. Just time consuming.

No, it is impossible to do on an android-based phone. You could try running ubuntu though, I'm sure there's a thread for that somewhere, not for the x8 specifically but you can attempt to do it on your phone, won't brick it or anything..

Froyo would be more fun
Only advantage from installing windows for me would be Automapa. Its a very good polish gps navigation software. Other than that I don't like windows mobile.

HELP, Syncing with Mac Lion

So far I love my new Tab 10.1 but I am unable to sync my pics and videos.
I did download the latest Samsung Kies software for Mac but when I sync my photos they look like there over exposed and all washed out and videos just lock up the tab. I loved when I had my 7" tab and when you pluged the usb in it would mount the devise and I would just drag and drop my files. Anyways please any advise on getting my media on my Mac besides Samsung Kies ?

i had the same problem, i'm on mac leopoard and exactly the same washed out photo's when trying to sync with Kies. I gave up and just bought the USB adaptor and i transfer files quickly that way via USB. I seem to give out the same advice time and time again but trying to sync like you would with an ipad/iphone just won't work.
Also, I paid for dice player to play movies/music video's etc as I found the stock player had synching audio/visual issues. Now I don't have to convert anythign to play on the tab, i just transfer via USB adaptor and it's on the tab ready to play.

Latter tonight ill look up Doubletwist when i get home and see if that will work?

I would like to know this also take it kies has a version now for Mac lion

Thought it was a great companion for my PC because the iMac also had a target display function so I could use the 27" screen also for my PC. Guess what, without any further notice they don't support PCs anymore in their 2011 models. Man o man. I feel like a Apple idiot...

I got my photos sync but still can't get movies on latest kies for lion but that prob cause there torrents maybe is there a fix for this u have to install a older version of kies on the Mac then open kies then update via kies to get it running on lion guys so far works

If you have Verizon's LTE tab, the latest OTA update includes Mac support. (It came out last weekend.)
Once updated, download "android file transfer". I don't have enough posts to provide link, but google it and it will be the first link.

Download cyber duck for your Mac and install file explorer for your tab. Perfect wireless syncing.

sure enough it works on lion
i use to just ran a webdav connection which also works..but nothing beats speed over the wire..

i suggest using syncmate for Mac.
It's free to download but I suggest buying the pro version.
Sync iTunes music, photos and contacts with ease.
