For those of us who don't know what microp is, or what update you're writing about... Could you please shed some light?

when my device (touch hd unflashed - stock everything) is turned off, it doesnt charge, it seems dead.
*anyway firstly i try turn on the device, no display.
*when i feel a vibration
(no display)..
*i hear the htcstartup.wav
*i press the power button once and the display comes back on.. Only at welcomehead.png (it dont let me see spl or animated.gif)
*device will now pop up a message
" microp version missmatch 0
Please update microp firmware"
*click ok and everything loads on today screen
-all settings work eg, Gsensor etc, all like usual now but this repeats every time i switch my device off..
-can only charge while device is on..
Have you tired a hard reset?
for HardSPL and try a differnt ROM
...
hard reset dont work, when it goes to ok screen, the screen is black.. cant flash because when device turns off its unresponsive, black screen, no bootloader, no charging, no sync.. takes the p*ss to boot it up again.. :/

camera dont work though.. it loads camera but with black image..
**if you have this midrop update problem simply open the device, clean the motherboard and put it back together, make sure all connections are secure..
it still shows the error a few times afterwards but it goes back to normal, now with no error, everything is good again
(if you have this microp update problem and this does not fix, message me and ill help the best i can)
i can flash hspl and energy rom now

Hello guys.. well i have a Blackstone HTC Touch HD..
I've got a big problem !
The htc wont start ! Nothing happens when i push the on/off button..
When i put in the charger.. the orange light turns on for some seconds.. then it turns off.. and then the phone turns on.. it shows "Smart Mobility" and vibrates..
Then it restarts.. and shows it again.. and again..
It keeps doing that..
What is the problem ? Can i solve this ?

Is this a new device? Have you recently flashed any new roms/software onto device?
If I where you I'd try a hard reset. To hard reset device:
1. Turn off device
2. Hold down vol up & vol down
3. Continue to hold down vol up & vol down and press power on button at top of HD
4. You will be presented qith a white screen & blue text
5. Follow instruction and restore factory settings (Hard reset) by pressing vol up.
If this doesn't work and device is still playing up and its a new device without any new rom/software on it I'd return it and get a replacement. The alternative would be to flash a new rom on it, but if its faulty device from start I wouldn't recommend this and I'd return it.

Ah, so you just found the device and decided to keep it...LOL
Well seeing as you can get it into bootloader, you are able to flash new roms onto device. All you need to do is follow guide in my signature.
The only other options would be to return it under insurances/warranty. But seeing as both are unavailable to you as phone isn't yours.............. If I was you I'd return device anyway and maybe the rightful owner may show some gratitude and give you an award!!
Choice is yours!!!

You may also find that the orginal owner has put a phone lock on device rendering phone useless anyway unless you know security code. I have similar lock on mine. If this is the case, be kind enough to return it to rightful owner!!
After freezing my device I tried to open but not opened then I tried to make soft reset again it didnt open then I tried hard reset but the normal menu didnt come instead the menu which is attached appear and telling something serial but not doing hard set now I dont know what I must do Please help

Thats your bootloader.....
to do a hard reset its...
hold down volume up and volume down
tap and release power
keep holding both volume buttons down....
I think whats happening is that your only holding the volume down.
Try taking your battery cover off to get a better press and making sure that up and down are held, then tap the power button.........

Thanks for explanation but it is stilll not working and in addition today for solving this problem I tried to reinstall rom using cd card this case it is waiting at the (loading ) stage I dont know how can I solve this problem

Is it a tmous hd2 (green and red buttons?) or a "normal one"?
What happened to make it freeze crash?
Can you still get to bootloader? (the screen you posted above)
If you can then go to that screen and connect your phone via usb......
wait a few mins and let us know if the word "serial" at the bottom of the screen changes to "usb"........
If it does you should be able to flash a rom via your computer......

nothing only I have re install sprite and rim backups (whic I had before) it started normally and while working freezed I closed and not opened it is staying and wait at (HTC guietly brillant ) stage

try uninstalling actvesync from your pc...... then reinstalling it
would you be able to try and flash on someone elses pc?

My friend, if the phone starts at all you definitely should be able to do HARD RESET.
You are probably not doing well the hard reset. You cannot destroy bootloader with backup programs.
You should :
-hold pressed volume up and volume down buttons
-tap and release power button
-keep holding both volume buttons down for several more seconds until three color screen appears and shortly after that a message will appear on lite blue screen. Then release both volume buttons. Then press volume up button, usually it is necessary to press it once again. System restoring bar will begin to raise up to 100%. After that pres again volume up and system will restart.
By the way your initial rom is 1.66 but on the pictures is 1.48. So you did pictures after you flashed it. Also noted that you have flashed HSPL.
Suggest to download your initial original rom and install it from the memory card. Not sure but may be downgrade of the rom is not possible from 1.66 to 1.44.

I can get the bootloader but it keeps showing "serial" even after connecting it to to the computer.
the "usb" does not come and i cannot update the rom
currently i'm using hyperdroid GBX v11 which is working fine (just one problem that it shows blank screen after a call ends and no display till another call comes) please help

Hmmm......
Try, using another USB port or computer.
Reinstall activesync.
Have you tried flashing from SD card?

If you are 100% sure your stock rom is correct. rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.NBH, put it on the root of your SD card, and boot into bootloader, it will flash.
IF YOU ARE UNSURE IF YOUR STOCK IS CORRECT POST HERE FIRST OR YOU MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE,
better to look noob than to brick, there are too many versions of this phone to mess around here.

HI,
I just had this problem and I saw that a ton of others had it too. It was where my phone would stop at the windows screen and not boot, and my PC wouldn't read the phone so I couldn't load a new rom or Hard SPL. How I fixed it was by getting my phone into bootloader mode, (the multi colored screen). Here's how to do it.
While phone is Off:
Hold Volume down & press power button
While phone is On
Hold Volume down & press Reset Button (meaning the little yellow button by the battery that you have to press with a pen to soft reset it)
Once your on the bootloader screen, plug your phone into your PC, you will hear the ding that the computer recognized it but your Windows Mobile desktop software will still say your not connected, don't worry about that,, you are connected. After that, just pick whatever rom you want, then just install it like normal. and it works. If your not running a rom, do the same but install hard SPL instead of a ROM.

can someone help me ! i have the same problem. im not sure i can even open the bootloader menu . when i reset it ,it still goes 3 colours. when i try puting a new rom on it it comes up error 262. tried task29 but still error 262. tried reinstalling activesinc , still error 262,something is telling me to sign into my comp as admin but ... can anyone help?

Ok first off what ROM do you have and what SPL does it show when you are in the muticolor bootloader screen? Secound if you are trying to flash a ROM yse right clicking the .exe file and selecting run as adminastrator is a good idea. l
I had the same problem.. what usually helps for me is when it gets stuck.. pull out the battery and give it a solid 15-20 minutes.. and then turn it on and do nothing up until after it has booted
i do the battery thing but i cant go on doing this , i put a little txt or phone call and the phone goes bonkers and heats up,nightmare!

I am having the same issue. I had a android rom then was finally able to flash via sd the stock rom, but it would just freeze on splash screen when trying to boot. Now when I try to flash rom again it will start and freeze on 1%. Any suggestions?
Now when I try to load rom via usb it starts and then freezes on 1%. Then will say communication error and then when trying to boot phone it says software issue and now I cant even get a rom put back on! Please help lol

Ok try going to windowsmobile.com/getstarted and download and install the latest version of ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) , wich ever one you have to have for your computer, and install it on your computer as they have updated USB drivers for your HD2.
have you tried loading a rom from the root of your memory card LEOimg.nbh?
i have this problem too...but what is worse is after i went to splash screen and connect my phone to pc, my pc wont detect my hd2...so i cant flash a new rom...
ps : im on stock rom bought this almost 2 years ago if im not mistaken

You need to put your phone into bootloader then your computer will recognize it. Hold the volume down button down while you power on the phone and the multicolor bootloader will come up. Next connect your HD2 to your computer via your USB cable. Wait for the Serial in the white bar of bootloader changes to USB and then flash. If you go to the device manager of your computer while you see USB on your phone it should say HTC USB Sync if you want to be assured that you have a connection to flash with.
hi there, im new here and ive been searching on the forum for a long time, but i didnt see any solution for my problem... (or maybe i was blind) so when i was trying to flash back original ROM from bootloader screen through USB, it didnt show my current image version info on the screen, but it did show the image version that im going to upgrade... however, i still let it updated and it said its succeed. but when my phone going to reboot, it stuck on the "stick together" screen... btw, my phone is PB81120 SS-B3 SPL-2.08. HSPL 8G XE. hope someone can help me solve my problem... thanks first :]
Go into bootloader again and connect the device to your PC via usb (should show USB at the the bottom in bootloader) and run the Rom Update Utility again. But first make sure the ROM is compatible with TmoUS Hd2.
I would recommend flashing stock from the bootloader just to be safe.
but i was trying to install T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_2.13.531.1 under bootloader, and it still the same... :[
Was that what you origonally tried updating to? Or was it a custom rom you had tried?

that was the latest i tried to updating to, or any different kinds of version of original ROMs... before, i tried to update a custom ROM on it first, but it failed :[ actually, when i first got my phone it was unlocked, so while i was waiting to get the unlock code for it, i decided to install android on it... later on i had successfuly putting android on it, and by that time i got my unlock code too. then i typed it in and my phone just reboot and stuck on the "stick together" screen till now... so i started to look through the forum and found out that most ppl said is to reflash the ROM back to the original one first, and then everything would be alright... but i guess it didnt work on my phone D:

don't worry, your problem is resolvable. (as long as you see something on screen, you are lucky.)
1) When the stick together screen comes, do you see any numbers on left bottom after waiting for some time say 1 min.
if yes, then your problem is missing OS image only.
in this case, take out the battery. after that, keep volume down pressed all the time and insert battery again. press power button, if mobile does not start immediately. please keep volume down button pressed till the time tricolor screen does not come on. after that connect cable to computer and update normally.
2) If you don't see any number, it may mean multiple things, which all are resolvable. (most likely bootloader stuck in another mode.)
in any case, try steps in given in 1 and report back. before reporting back please install mtty on your computer as it is needed to send commands to mobile to get out of this mode.

I hv hd2 from pairs. i had use Android 4.0.1 in that, but when i tried to update my phone with 4.1.0 the screen comes with plain white and doesn't do anything. after some research i got to kn that i should run HSPL4. But when i tried to do so, after flashing hspl v3. somthing the screen wont open. when i start my phone it vibrates for once but dose not start the screen also can't go in boot loader while pressing vol "-" button with power on button.
plz somebody help me to get out of this problem. Its freeing me out.
Yours phone is dead like mine..somebody says its dead motherboard, someone says phone must go on JTAG BOX but its to expensive!
