Social Hub - Galaxy S I9000 General

I was browsing the Samsung Social Hub webpage. How come it looks different on my phone. The functions it states on the page doesn't apply to SGS?

Change Twitter TAB

Is there any possibility to change the Twitter (Peep) tab to a different Twitter Client? My favorites are TouchTwit and PockeTwit.
I'd like this, because thedefault Twitter application Peep, makes my really fast mobile into a sluggy slow mobile when updating the tweets. And both PockeTwit and TouchTwit are lightning fast.
Are more general question: Is it actually possible to add other TAB then the default ones?

Samsung Social Media Hub missing from Sprint Tab?

Meant to post yesterday:
Anyone with a Sprint Tab notice whether or not they have this icon/app on their tab?
On the Sprint page it does state "Samsung Social Hub integrates all of the user’s social networking services, messages, personal and business email, calendars and contacts, and can display calendar information from portal calendars, such as Google Calendar, and social networking services together in one view with two-way synchronization"
i contacted Sprint Tech Support and the 1st rep tried sending the app to me, which i think was BS. Then i was put through to Level 2 Tech Support. Level 2 had me do a hard reset and planned for the Tab to take an auto update and hand me the app, which it did NOT. I was then told to go to a Sprint Store because this is a manufacture issue and they will swap out the device.
PS: Tab is 2 hours old
UPDATE:
Today i decided to contact Samsung Tech Support regarding this issue. 1st rep advised me to take my equipment back to where i purchased it for a replacement. I asked to speak to a supervisor and spoke with a "Level 2 Tech". He advised me that BOTH the Sprint and Verizon CDMA units do not have this app/feature at this time and expects a possible upgrade in the near future.
Tonight, not satisfied with the conflicting date i have received, i again contacted: a) a sprint corporate store and b) care tech support. The ditz i spoke to at the store advised me, without looking, that their demo unit did not have this application and would not let me speak to someone in tech & repairs. Called Care Tech Support again and explained the conflicts i have received the last 2 days and she proceded to contact Samsung, put me on hold and CLICK...
Still trying to find out if ANY CDMA UNITS HAVE THIS APP OR NOT...
ANYONE? ANYONE? ANYONE?
I have a tmo sgt and I have the media hub, dunno what social hub ur speaking of though
My Sprint Tab doesn't have to app/widget either.
Here's the answer you've been looking for:
No CDMA tablet have SocialHub. It's up to the carriers what apps they decide to leave/install/uninstall on their devices.
It's not on my Bell Tab either.
BTW, do any of YOU have the native Calculator application? I don't, and I miss it, since it is always on my default home screen desktop. The calcs on the market are all over-featured, though they work.
no calculator here either. weird they left that out
That it is.

Thanks, but no. If you go to the Sprint website under "Full Feature List" it states
"Samsung Social Hub
An integrated service that merges your social networking, contact, calendar and email information into a single interface. Social Hub is an easier way to connect with friends, family, and colleagues whenever you want, wherever you are. "
I do appriciate your efferts though

Yes, i have the "Media Hub" but NOT the "Social Hub"
go here to check it out:
http : / / socialhub (dot) samsungmobile (dot) com
Apparently it is an app that is carrier requested, but pre-installed. this app is NOT available through the market or any other markets for that matter and it is not a .apk file available from samsung or from sprint.

Social hub activation failed help

I'm having problems activating my Samsung Social Hubs account. I need to activate it so I can get the IM client working and also to get push notifications for my AOL account.
I have tried over network, over wifi and no results. I called Samsung cust. Support in the US (888) 987-4357, but they told me my device is not supported because the Galaxy SII is registered under Samsung UK and they gave me another no. 084567267864 but I cant get a hold of that numbet after putting prefix +44 for UK country code.
Please is anyone else having similar issues activating your Samsung social hub portal?

I suspect you did not describe the problem well.
You can set up accounts two ways:
1) Settings>Accounts and sync
2) Social Hub>Add account
If neither of those work for you I'd try a hard reset. The latest firmware KF3 seems to have a problem with IM if you're starting with a fresh copy (vs. upgrading on top of an earlier version). I just rebuilt my phone and had no problems with Social Hub other than that.
How do I know if I have KF3?

Ok, let me explain furthermore. The Galaxy SII comes preloaded with a service called hubs. There is: game hub, readers hub and social hub. The other two hubs are self explanatory, but the social hub has more to it.
With an activated social hub account, supposively we galaxy sII owners are able to log into multiple IM accounts (windows live, aol messenger or google talk). In addition any email account created with an active social hub account is blessed with "push" mail notifications.
I can't activate mine, past the email activation process it tells me that it cant' connect or that connection failed. What I want to do is make my primary email account the social hubs one (an AOL acct.), but I also want it to have push notification, but without activating a social hubs account, it will not allow me to do so. Right now I can only log into my AOL acct. Via polling emails every like 30mts. But it is not the same experience as real push email (similar to the gmail application from android market).
So I have been breaking my head on activating a social hub account with the samsung server. This is the link were the activation takes place and you can read for your self what I'm trying to explain: http://socialhub.samsungmobile.com and at the site there is even an option to activate from there entering my GSII's IMEI, but for some reason it regets my IMEI and tells me that it can not be registered.
So as a result, I can't log into any IM service (connection failed) or activate any email and make it my default email with push capability.
I hope I explained clearly the problem I'm experiencing ok. Thank you in

Thanks for the detailed explanation OP. I was not clear on what exactly the problem was.
I never used the HUB, I am in the States, and I just tried to register at the hub website. Upon entering my IMEI (the UK unbrabded phone), I got the message "This IMEI is not available for the social hub service."
I then searched and found this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092848
Post #6 says basically that the Hub service is not available for UK
I found the source for the first part of that post. And when you actually follow these instructions and click on Q&A, you are presented with the list of countries , there is no UK or US on that list.
I guess Samsung enforced country validation recently?
And to answer your other question about where to see the KF3 version, go to settings -> about phone -> build number

Exactly, now you know that I'm talking about right. it reads "This IMEI is not available for the social hub service" you see. Why is this? I even using the same site sent them an contact us email for them to add my IMEI, but have not gotten a responce.
PS: I'm also in America on at&t ok. Thank you.
one thing nobody said before is:
when calling the uk, the leading 0 of the phone number must not be dialed. the number is 084567267864 for people in the uk, but for international callers it should be +4484567267864.
the same goes for many european countries that have phone numbers with leading 0s. just fyi.
Social Hub is run through Samsung's servers. I think the web app does nothing more than mirror what's on the phone. I've used the phone version in the U.S. on a UK phone since May and haven't had any issues. Like everyone else I can't register for the web app because it rejects my IMEI. If the phone's not letting you set up any accounts it probably has to do with settings you've selected not what's pre-programmed in the phone or its country of origin.

360 surround social media

Is there even any social medias that support this? I know facebook and instagram doesent
