Mp3 player cut off problem - Galaxy S I9000 General

I have only had my samsung for a day. but i was testing the mp3 player on there and after 2 songs the music stop. i have used the mp3 player that comes with phone and have downloaded another mp3 app. again same problem, the mp3 player is left to play on shuffle and 2 and half songs through it cuts off :-s
has anyone else had this problem? should i notify orange asap about this problem??
is there a problem with the headphones, as i tested them on laptop and the sound came out abit dodgy :-s
any help would be great
Thankyou

I can't help with the MP3 player as I haven't got mine loaded yet, but as far as the headphones are concerned, it appears that the connections to the Samsung headphones are non-standard, so I am not surprised that they sound funny on your laptop.
Several people have complained that expensive after-market headphones do not work on the Galaxy.

MP3 playback

just bought 2nd hand XDA II everything seems to be working fine??? except when playing MP3 files back with the headset supplied (genuineO2 and new) the music is distorted?? plays fine through the built in speaker.
Any ideas ???

Music quality: Can it replace a good mp3 player?

Any searches on audio quality return phone call quality.
What about the audio quality, judged against a stand-along mp3 player, using a good pair of headphones (e.g. Etymotic Research, Sennheiser 580's)?
(No comments about Bluetooth audio, please. The current choices aren't anywhere near the two phones listed above...)
Is the output powerful enough? Flat frequency response? Low noise?
I was hoping that, with an 8525 + 4GB microSD, I could dump my current phone AND my flash mp3 player...
What sounds good to you for a MP3 player? There is no way any phone in the market can sound as good as a standalone player.
Why not? It all depends on the choice of components. I can imagine that the analogue-to-digital convertor chip in the Hermes is better than that in many cheap and regular standalone mp3 players.
You have to test to make sure though, and then there's personal preference...

i think all mp3 players are just like the built in mp3 players on your phone. I'm using my xda trion with logitech headphones and the bass and audio is thumping man! I swear, i see no difference from my friend's ipod video, my logitech earphones give me all the bass and treble and whatever else u can think off, it's awesome! depending on the mp3 (quality etc), when i listen to really good downloaded songs, i feel like i'm hearing it live! it's a matter of earphones/headphones man! whatever ur mp3/ipod/whatever is, if they got crappy earphones/headphones, u'll get crappy sound, if u use ur hermes with good quality earphones/headphones, i swear u'll enjoy ur audio experience
Good application to use
A good application to use is pocket player by conduits. Costs a couple of bucks off handango, but with the skin of version 2.8(available on their sight) it is soooo easy to use. I can use it with out a stylus. You can't listen to more than 100 mp3s in a week. Sure you probably won't be able to store your entire library on the pda, but it is so convienient. Plus, if you have a pda/phone, you won't miss a call at the gym!
Check out conduits pocket player though... make sure to get the skin of version 2.8 or 2.0 on their website.
Short answer.. No
I have a few different sets of decent headphones (Shure e2c and e3c, and Grado's SR80's) and the phone doesn't sound anywhere near as good as my iRiver.
I use my Jasjam as my music player and I find it great. When a call comes in the music pauses and then when your done it starts no stopping you MP3 player then answering your phone all just one simple operation. I find it great!
i also picked up the 8525 after my dell jukebox's headset jack started having problems and causing undesireable amounts of static. loved that player, had it for many years, replaced HD to give it a few more gigs of space, and i have absolutely no complaints about the 8525 as an mp3 player. i use headphones all the time and i havent had any problems with it.
the phone slows down a little bit when using BT and windows media, but a lot of the time i'll use the standard headphones and it runs fine. its real nice to be able to have the music pause automatically so you can take a call
4gig isnt as much as a lot of mp3 players, ie i used to have a 20g, but as long as your a little more selective in your songs you can still virtually have an endless supply of music (ie picking the songs you really like instead of just droppin full albums into it)

Routing sound from video through bluetooth headset/headphones, help

Looking to route the sound coming from video files through bluetooth, i have sound from music going through just fine, but i can have it playing music then open a video file in the same program and it'll stop playing through the headphones and play through the speaker, the program i use doesn't matter, does this for everything, i've searched the forums and just the internet in general on a way to get this working and all i can find it things on how to route music, does anyone know a way to get this working? thank you
Been awhile, does anyone have any ideas on this?
Just use TCPMP (freeware media player). I'm watching Red Dwarf with it and the audio's going right to my bluetooth headphones. You'll want to get the codec pack so it'll be able to play many more formats than it already can.
I had problems with skipping when watching videos in tcpmp while using a2dp. I tried coreplayer, and it worked perfectly - well worth splashing out for!
I'll give it a try tonight, not sure if i tried that one yet or not, thanks for the suggestion
Yeah same situation, i have no idea why why it refuses to run sound from video through bluetooth, when music will work fine
did you do anything special to get this working, or was it just working already?
I didnt do anything special. I'm using sony DR-BT30Q headphones, and I just paired them, press play on the headphones to activate the a2dp service, and the headphone symbol appears on the screen. Its all operational from that point.

Nuts, what happens on mine is i'll set it up to play through the headphones, sometimes play a song or something to verify the sound is going through the headphones, then i'll load up a video, and there will be a click in my headphones and then sound starts coming through the phone speaker, and for everything until i pair them up again.
maybe i need to get some new headphones or something!
Is it possible its just a problem with my rom?
i use pdacorner version..6 i think due to my crazy battery drain problems with any newer ones than that, maybe i'll try swapping out a new rom and see if it helps at all, honestly have never tried it.
I have never had any problem on any rom, and have tried about 5 or 6 over the last year. At the moment I am very happy with crc's stable roms, and have no a2dp problems with it.

Only Mono audio-Using Wired headsets.

Hi, I just bought this samsung generic mic and headphone cable for cell phones, I try to play music thru it, but only the right side works.
I am probably missing something every obvious. Please let me know if there is a fix for this.
I am using Windows Media Player to play the MP3 file.
I called HTC support they said it is a old phone and doesn't support stereo sound..
I cannot believe that because the phone can do Wi-Fi, Touch and WM6 but not this!

[Q] music via bluetooth problem

Greetings I try playing music via the Itech bluetooth capable headphone, (not headset) I have successfully paired it and all, i also had set it to stereo mode, here comes the problem, when i try to play via the player all i would hear is the start of the music maybe for 1.5 seconds then... nothing, music continues to play on the phone but there is no sound coming from the phone nor the headphones. I already tried different ROMS but to no avail same result so i am thinking it is not the ROMS I tried the tomal and lucathebig ROMS, I am stuck i don't know how I could do this help please? thanks.
I am quite sure that my bluetooth is not broken since I could pair with the pc and also the headphones
ok, I tried to switch off the bluetooth headphones while the music was playing and the music continues to play on the uni's speakers, so it means that the music is playing only it is not streaming to the headphones. Any help or idea will be appreciated
