VPN on Android (.pcf certificate import possible?) - Networking

Hi guys,
I m trying to make a VPN tunnel to make it possible to work in our server with my Android 2.1 HTC Desire phone.
Can this be done with the standard installed VPN configuration tool that comes with Android 2.1? (I have no rooted phone, just the original 2.1 that came with the Desire) If so, how can I set this up correctly?
Our IT-engineer asked my if it is possible to import a so called .PCF certificate on the phone because this is needed according to him. How can a certificate like this one installed on the phone?
Thanks in advance!

Is there a reason why you can't upgrade to WM6?
If you feel like doing some digging, my ROM has the latest version, but you'll have to decompile the extended rom to pull out the CAB file...

Changing Microsoft Myphone Version

I've just installed my first custom ROM (Dutty's Holy Grail), howevever I am having a problem with Microsoft Myphone and recovering my text messages etc. Basically the current version has an issue that it will not authenticate if you use a non hotmail or live email address. To get around this I installed the beta version and then upgraded it, however this ROM came with it installed and I cannot replace the original version with the beta. Can anyone tell me how I can remove the original version and install the beta so I can get my texts back?
Thanks,
Mike
Nevermind I have found a different solution, it is possible to remove the text "other" in the drop down box and replace it with your own domain. Might aswell close/delete this.

Did anyone manage to disable the Exchange lock from his HD2?

Froyo & Exchange : accept all certificate ?

Hello,
I'd like to know if it possible to add an exchange account, using a self-signed certificate.
In the stock android 2.1 and 2.2, it was possible to check the box "accept all certificate" (including the self-signed), but with the HTC tool, it was not possible.
Did HTC change this in Froyo ?
Could anyone try to add an exchange account, and tell me which option are presnt ?
Thank you so much,
Splitsch

StraightTalk, 7.8, MMS

I've tried all the ROM's out there and so far I'm not finding the perfect fit. Here is what I'm looking for:
1. 7.8 RTM
2. Nokia Network Setup
Dynamics ROM is 7.8 RTM but I was unable to get Nokia Network Setup to work so can't adjust the MMS settings.
This other ROM masks itself as a Lumia 800 and the Nokia Network Setup app seems to work just fine, but this ROM is not running 7.8 RTM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905225
Has anybody out there gotten this combo working on a 1.3 Focus? I've heard the manual xml edits for Straght Talk no longer work on 7.8 which is why I was hoping to use the Network Setup app.
Consider this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1528984&page=27
As far as MMS on Straight Talk, with the above mentioned ROM, I have it working. Look at post #263. He made a XAP to get straighttalk into the provxml folder very easily. You will still have to go to the GPRS Manager (*#9908#) and select and save the straighttalk xml, then reboot the phone.
I have no idea it the XAP will work with the dynamics ROM, I had the proper xml files in there when I was running the Dynamics ROM, but in the GPRS Manager it wasn't showing up.

Click to collapse
The manual xml edits don't work because the Dynamics ROM uses a newer Omnia 7 firmware that blocks it. My ROM uses an older Rogers Focus firmware that hasn't been patched to block this.
