Hi all
looking for some help. I am trying to have a quick way to set up a custom network settings for gprs. ideally i would cook them into the rom but have had no success. i followed a guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-281982.html but when i ran it, it merely said unsuccessful.
Im thinking this is to do with Touch HD2 being on WM6.5
any help woud be great, even an alternative method would be great
thanks

Ello.
I got my hands on one of these glorious 8125's and well, am trying to set it up so that it will connect to data over AT&T Medianet.
I already flashed it up to the current newest TNT WM6 rom, but cant seem to find a decent guide or set of directions to setting this thing up...
Any help? Please XD
Depending on the ROM you flashed, you might have the Network Wizard. Otherwise, there is a cab called "Cingular WAP MediaNet MMS Settingsv2" that should help you. See attachment.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum..great place by the way, I am trying to help a friend with his new Tmobile Wing.I have a XV6800 and I am fine when it comes to cooking roms and adding cabs with this device, but this Wing so different. Sorry for asking simple questions, but I did try to read quite a few post before asking, it's just I dont have much time to see this kid and do some cool stuff to his phone. Do i have to upgrade to WM6.1 for any reason..I have it for the GPS function on my XV, but what about the wing? Do I have to unlock it with Hard-Spl to add cabs or anything to phone?Thats it I just need a heads start, thanks guys. Keep up the good work.
the wing does not have a gps chip inside it, but upgrading to wm6.1 is still pretty dandy.
You will have to hard-spl to flash a custom wm6.1 rom to the phone, as we have no official upgrade. However, because it is gsm, nothing really important has to be memorized before flashing
Been running the Touch 3G (jade) for a month or so now...
Very impressed with it, running TomTom 7 etc without any problems...
I would like to get rid of the Orange UNIQUE service so I can run either Wifi or GPRS not the wierd Orange idea..
Is there a way I can backup my installed ROM in the phone should anything go wrong or I not like what I want to use in it's place... ???
Next question...
Having made sure I can get phone back to original should I need to, can anyone direct me to the location of a STANDARD HTC rom image to use on the phone. I have previously flashed a HTC TyTn (one) with a new schaps rom with great success but not sure what is available for the Jade..
Any help much appreciated...
Phil

Hey folks, here from the Herald forums for a friend of mine. What has happened is this, I went ahead and flashed his phone from the stock WinMo 6.1 to NSFAN's 6.5 version 13. Now before I did this he of course had data capability, but now for the life of me I cant get them working again. I applied the Sprint provisioning cab from the ROM thread, aswell as following the instructions per this thread here(http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-410357.html), and neither of them work. So my question is this, can either someone point me to a thread with the exact settings or instructions on how to get the data settings for Sprint that will work under WinMo 6.5. Thanks much!
Device-Sprint HTC Touch circa 2008
ROM-NSFAN's custom WM6.5 version 13
HardSPL'd or whatever it is you do to CDMA devices...yeah sorry im used to GSM stuff so I dunno what you all do. But I followed Cokeguy's guide to unlock the CID I believe so I guess thats as close to HardSPL as you get on this thing heh.
And of course application unlocked.
Try not using any provisioning CABs. Just flash the ROM and see if it works from there (works fine for me and I am using a Vogue on Sprint).
Well that was my first thought, and I both hard reset and re-flashed and I still got nothing. However, I went back to the stock Sprint ROM, and then re-flashed and everything is cherry now...I don't really understand why...but it is. Thanks for the reply anyways!
So I received my T9193 today and I want to run it on the Rogers network, however it seems like this rom has quite a bit of stuff hard-coded into it, such as the internet connection details and the quick links on the home screen... Is there an easy way to disable this in the registry?
If not, are the roms for the HD2 specific to a particular version? ie. which rom will work with the T9193?
I got a Telstra TouchPro2 - I just flashed the stock wwe ROM to start and it worked very well on Rogers. I would assume you could do the same with the HD2.
You can remove the three quicklink icons on the home screen using a cab someone made. It can be found by searching in this forum. You will need to create a new internet connection to get your browser, etc. working. Telstra has the default one hard coded in. You could also follow the steps here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625919
which will give you step by step directions to install custom roms on your phone. Any rom offered in the HD2 ROM DEVELOPMENT thread will work on the Telstra branded HD2. It will also unlock and return all the internet settings to default.
just installed dutty's rom and it worked... you have to keep the original radio rom though... works great! getting 1800kbit/s on speedtest. Very fast phone! what winmo should have been all along ;D
