The IP was obtained from going to Settings > WiFi> WiFi Settings > Clicking on the connected network. Both Windows 7 laptop and HTC Magic are connected to the same network. CMD was run as admin.
Any help?
For anyone finding this thread in the future (like I just did looking for solutions), as of about Android 11 and up, adb works over wi-fi (without USB) on non-rooted Android phones via Developer options Wireless debugging switches.

I've not seen this mentioned anywhere so here goes. I have a Retail GB Moto G (from phones4u), with bootloader unlocked via Motorola website.
When I connect my Moto G to my computer via USB cable from a powered off state it instantly boots into android but with no mobile signal.
It is running something called CommServer and I have a "Motorola USB Networking Driver" in windows device manager.
Tapping on Commserver notification takes me into the CQATest app. Where I can run a bunch of diagnostic tests on screen, camera, sensors, led etc.

Is this normal, how can it be disabled so that I can charge the phone from USB without it powering on?
Using a Nexus 6 with the beta N preview, I am unable to get the options to work.
I have tried swiping down
The device is charging
tried multiple cables
i am in dev mode.
thoughts?
You can find USB options under developer options like in the shot attached. I personally have to disable USB Debugging to be able to access my files. Been like that for me for some reason.

You may have the wrong vendor.img installed. Update it with the correct one associated to your custom ROM. You should be good to go after.

I can not do anything (no touch)
is there any rom that bypasses the first configuration and runs the system without configuration for Odin?
or any other possibility to run this phone without giving up service and buying a new screen?
Regards.
You try use a keyboard or mouse usb OTG?
yes
But it will not do anything because USB Debugging is disabled
The best solution would be for me a rom for Odin Which has switched off the first configuration of the phone and enabled USB Debugging
