Smart phone junkies..... Ya Junkies LOL!!!

I created an account to ask them a simple question and they made such a big deal of it like they dont have any answers just attiude. I ask a question that maybe everyone know but I didnt, I asked ( can you put a touch pro rom on the wing). OK maybe its a dumb question but I didnt Know the answer. Do you know the threated and made such laughs out of that question that I never got an answer (I assumed no). I sent a reply about all the laughs and (I struck a nerve).
ANYHOW I AM SO HAPPY I ASK TO HAVE MY ACCOUNT DELETED BY THEM.
Also I notice damn there everything on roms, is from xda developers.
And if any of you is from smart phone JUNKIES then I apologize for any disrespect, BUT YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT TO GET IT!!!

ok dash the co-founder from spj. dont know why you have to start beef at other places and many of the users over there are from here or ppcgeeks and no one else has the troubles or complaints that you address. the roms arent from xda since they are mainly gsm providers and they are from ppcgeeks and all credit is given to the authors and a post to the thread is linked as well. we also have many spj made roms there so i dont know what you are trying to get at. but anyways you kept private messaging staff, posting that rom question in the release areas even though your questions was not clearly a release, you got mad if your question wasnt answered 3 minutes after you posted, and much more. all you did was wine and cry and even made a thread trying to act like a tough guy. im not going to say anything mean back to you since you are playing childish games trying to get attention from people. i wish you the best of luck in your endevours with modding your ppc to its fullest. good luck

Im not bashing any sites im just saying what happen. I know they play it wasnt that, its the fact that it seems that everytime I ask something its a joke or they tell me dont ask a stupid question. I know it was funny when I really found out and put it together. But they didnt have to call me stupid and stuff. Thats all im saying and I wasnt there that long. And I wasnt on here like I am now. I am just starting to flash a lot and Im just starting to put time in on cooking my own rom. But to end This all.

I kinda thought this the ppc modding and what not was one big community not that one site is better than the other. Some sites get things before others who cares we all have one goal and thats to make our ppc's do what we want them to do.

New roms vs original

Hello,
I've been looking around at all the roms etc and their change logs. They look like big improvements, so I updated to CM stable (worked fine, a little bit slow now and then) now I'm using the latest one which is meant to be the fastest but I find it hangs a lot, and is slow quite often.
Is anyone seeing this or is it just my phone.
I also have a question, when I shake my phone I can hear this ratteling sound, is that normal? my phone isn't new

To the OP: You might wanna try wiping your phone and maybe repartitioning your SD, see if any apk's your using have known conflicts with Cyan roms. Can you tell where the rattling is coming from? Also your phone is still under HTC warranty so you might be able to get them to fix it, just gotta pay shipping. Also if your on tmobile they might even do it for you for free.

actually like one person said. its common sense to think something is wrong if something didnt rattle before but rattles now. so therefore it was a stupid question.

Where is my HTC Sense Alarm???

i installed an app called " pocketshield" and i noticed that when i set my alarm to ring , instead of having the manila ( sense ui ) alarm notification ( where you have the option to slide it to snooze or dismiss ), now i have a small notification on the bottom of the screen that says ( snooze - dismiss ) and i lost the slide functionality , i un-installed the app but i couldnt get the old alarm notification back ???!!! please help, i want my old alarm notification back , but how ? i dont wanna do a hard reset and have to go through installing all my apps and settings again, please anybody !? thank you

The quickest way to piss people off here is to make comments about how you're not getting assistance as quickly as you would expect. Obviously none of those people were familiar enough with your issue to give you advice on it.
So would you prefer that the 78 others and I all post saying "sorry, can't help", or that we ring up all the members who haven't passed by your thread or even the site today, and tell them to get with it?

I was speaking from the experience I've seen many times in the past with posts exactly like that. I never said I was pissed at you, I was letting you know that type of thing often has that effect here
The way I pointed it out to you is a lot less harsh than you're likely to get when you write something like that, believe me. When you say "come on people!!!", don't be surprised when that comes off sounding demanding and spoiled. If you didn't mean it in that way, you might want to consider wording it differently, that's all I was trying to advise you of.
I'm actually having a grand day, tyvm, and if it does help make you feel better, I don't know the answer to your problem though I actually dedicated 15 minutes or so seeing if I could turn anything up, before I saw your 2nd post there.

bro, i am really sorry about what i said earlier, i kinda regretted it after posting, i thought it was a little harsh, but i didnt know how to delete it,i dont know why i felt like u were upset or something, any way i am really sorry.
i'll take ur advice and i do think it might sound demanding to other people so i posted another thread hoping someone one would help me out, i even emailed HTC and if they provided me with any help, i'll post it in here.

help with android/rom?

hey guys, i think i am trying to to install a new rom. what i am trying to do is dual boot wm 6.5 and android, if thats possible, i have tried searching for stuff, but i get not enough info in some places, and too much in others, here are some links to stuff i have found so far:

i have read all the newbie and noob posts out there, so dont tell me to go read them
id like someone to tell me exactly what to download and how to run it to effectivly get android running on my device, dual boot if possible, id like to keep wm 6.5 but also have android. id also like to have a back up rom that is completly "stock" unless a hard reset will erase everything and put it back to "stock" incase i need to sell the device, or just go back.
im sure i am missing a few things, so any help would be greatly appreciated, i really need to get this done, because as of right now, i am not to happy with my device with just wm 6.5 and i cant afford to take a loss and sell it back...
i also may be wrong with some of my terminology, so what i understand is with dual booting i can run wm 6.5 just like i have now and use CHT and stuff, or i can run an android UI like the real android devices?
like i said, any help would be greatly appreciated, and i really need to get this accomplished,

Glad you got it figured out. Next time, you could try posting in the regular hd2 section as well, seems to be more traffic there.

So you're bothered by the fact we didn't give you the answers quick enough, to something that you obviously had the ability to work out on your own? That points to the fact you didn't do enough to help yourself, before posting your question...something the rules here specifically address.

i did several hours of searching before i posted this, and after a lot of dead ends and frustration, i posted the question, but i continued to search after i posted, which led me to my answer.
and i dont think you guys get paid anything, i just would have expected at least one person to post something, helpfull or not, i just found it weird that no one said anything, not even "i am interested in this as well" or something like "good luck" that i see in other posts....

There's nothing weird you just don't have enough patience to wait for replies. Anyways, good to see that you actually utilized the search function. There's a dedicated android on hd2 forum here on xda. You should have posted your question there.

We dont. It was sarcasm. Hes saying hes not getting paid to help you, so dont get upset when you dont get an answer... This is the internet. Dont expect things from anyone. Just relax and wait. Sometimes, depending on the question, it can take days, weeks to get an answer. If you need people to hold your hand and wish you luck, try the Disney forum.

haha, very funny, i know it was sarcasm, i just gave a serious answer...
i didnt expect anyone to hold my hand or give me an answer, i just would have thought some one would have something about something, like i said before, a lot of times people say good luck, or id be intersted in this too... i found it weird that no one said anything. i know you guys are mad because you couldnt understand my sarcasm, and that i was able to figure it out for myself. how come when i needed help no one said anything, but now that i have it figured out, you guys rant about me wanting everything handed to me, when thats not the case?

i am terribly sorry that you guys have no sense of humor and couldnt understand that... i though forums where supposed to be friendly, and people were supposed to be able to say funny and or sarcastic things without somone jumping on their back...

it's all good in here man. We all just get a little bit of newbieitis where the only cure is to lash out at the newbs.
There is a lot to learn on this forum and by the time you learn it all, your device is out of date.
It seems you wanted to figure it all out in a night. Been using WinMo for about 2-3years now and I still don't have a clue most of the time.

pbleonidus, if that comment was just tongue-in-cheek, then it's all good, no harm no foul. Those types of comments are near-impossible to tell the difference between light-hearted and just disrespectful....and believe me, we get FAR more of the latter type in here...and that does tend to strike a bit of a raw nerve with those here who go to a lot of effort to help others.
So, a lesson in this for all of us: you're apparently not the type of snarky jerk that we run across so often, and we're not always able to generate answers as quickly as you might expect. Cool? Cool.

Just try a cople out. Its really all personal choice. Whatever ROMs are on the first page when you go into the ROM section are probably your best bet, being that they are the most popular, or new. Flashing only takes a few minutes and they are safe as long as you choose the right Radio for your phone, you are ok. Try a few out, see what you like.

I kind of had the same question, but I have flashed my phone over 50 time sin a couple months trying to find the happy place.. so far all the roms have good points and better points. greatful to all the chefs!

This ROM is basically the Stock ROM but better.

No, you're just a dumbass. Asking people to help you, and then in the end, after an incredibly long tut, you just drop it. Learn how to read stickies and tutorials and do it yourself. Hey Blizz, what does this have to do with ROM development? Try posting questions like this in the General forum.
I use Energy CHT and it works well and looks great.
