I believe that you'll find one if you search through the sticky thread at the top of this section, with the title "links to cabs, ROMs,...."
However, the whole reason that it's NOT present in that ROM is because it's the cause of slowdowns and such for many users, so it was purposefully removed in quite a few of the custom ROMs.

WM 6.5 ROM vanilla

I want to flash my Elfin with any WM 6.5 ROM. But the problem is, there are a *lot* of them in the wild, and I'm confused.
In http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541886, you can see a bar at the bottom which is absent in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426540. Also, in the first one, the start menu is shifted to the bottom.
I'm looking for a simple WM 6.5 ROM with the *least* modifications done to it.
Any recommendations?
Also, is WM6.5 good to use *without* M2D?
First, windows mobile 6.5 is now a very 'loose' build, which means Microsoft just works on the builds and release them as and when they like it and along the way, they work on new BETA features. Or features which do not work well.
Some of the builds have start buttons at the bottom because Microsoft changed some of the features of it (Again, its Microsoft issue).
Do be reminded that Windows Mobile Official 6.5 is not out yet.
Hmmm, thanks for the reply. I have another question.
When I hard reset my phone, M2D, and other M2D components like Audio Manager, HTC Album, Phone Canvas etc. is retained.
When I dump my rom following this guide http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Elf_HowtoDumpRom, will all that stuff be there in the backup? I.e., if I want to flash this backup, will the M2D etc be flashed with it?
If not, is there a way to backup the whole thing? I'm not talking about the apps I install. I'm talking about M2D etc. which are in my ROM since I bought it. Since they are retained even after a hard reset, I guess there must be a way to back them up along with the ROM.

Also, can someone direct me to a guide for HSPL? I found one on this website but it's confusing.
Okay guys, I need some replies fast .
Question:
If I dump my ROM using this method (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Elf_HowtoDumpRom), then *will* the M2D, Audio Manager etc be backed up with it? I think they should, because they were 'cooked' into the ROM, i.e. if I hard reset, they are retained.
...No one?
Well, rom dumping is quite hard.
What? This (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Elf_HowtoDumpRom) process was pretty simple. But do you know the answer to my question?

Well I did a "proof of concept" rom with 6.1 and sense 2.5 for cdma touch pro over by ppcgeeks, Using a Verizon stock base. One of my to do list projects. It is possible but a lot of tweaking and fixing required. Make sure you change I think it's in the settings wvga folder, the is6.5 reg dword to 0.
I have been getting some tips from Adrianh85 who made the same type of rom on the TP2
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=105295
I am trying to get something similar on the CDMA Touch Pro. Sorry I am a noobie at cooking.
Maybe if I use the one of theTP2 kitchens and just swap the OEMXIP files to to the CDMA touch pro. Will this work?
Yes you can have Sense 2.5 on WM 6.1 just make sure you get ext pkg that right for wm6.1. heads up into manila 2012 thread there's some ext pkg for wm6.1
Got it working. I am working out the bugs.
How do I get the location setting working from the main screen?
When I try, the phone freezes.
To get location weather works check dependencies for it. Usually Google location service, htc geo services... check previous manila porting 1920/1921 there some dependencies that i forgot..
Hello
I'm also interested by cooking manila 2.5 on wm6.1 . I always had booting problems when I tried it but now, with the new osKitchen, I recmodded ALL the ext packages and my rom boots !!!! BUT sense doesn't start, it says : tap here to launch sense ..... !!!!!!!!! This must be due to some missing dependencies !
If someone can help; I think that it would be great
PS : I'm cooking for topaz based on wm6.1 21041 drivers 1.39
you have to downgrade the HTCFramework 1.1.19183131.00 and HTCScroll 1.0.1914.2726 for WM6.1.
What SYS build are you using?
put correct zlib_ce and starticonloader. This thread should be deleted since its faq has been posted many times in manila2012 thread by amarulz. so you guys who want to cook sense and have a lil trouble on sense booting or anything else just heads up to manila2012 threads.
cheers
dc4life : I'd love to head to the so famous manila2012 thread BUT there are so many similar threads. Which one do you mean ?????

[SOLVED] Looking for an updated sense 2.5 for os kitchen windows 6.5.5

Hi,
I am currently using oskitchen to build a 6.5.5 os with sense. I have windows 6.5.5 and used HTC HD2 stock rom 1.66 and compiled successfully. When I flashed it on my HD2 phone the sense screen was not alligned properly, it had moved about 10 pixles down the screen. I assume this is because it is an older version and not calibrated for 6.5.5.
I have tried searching for an updated sense that I can use with 6.5.5 and oskitchen but haven't found anything that works with oskitchen.
If anyboy could post a link that would be useful.
Thanks
Stephen
Mod edit: Yes dumping a newer base rom will be the best you can do for your leo at this point in newer builds your ois old thread solved as tidus gives you a link
make sure you get a proper package. Sense should work fine in 6.5.5. There are stickies thread by +Que PPC which compiles everything jr.Chefs to get staretd. The position offset for dialer (phone canvas) - look for phonecanvas fix. You can either dump LEO S 3.04 ROM for latest ext manila package or get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6969492&postcount=43
Looks great. I will try later and let you know how I get on, thanks for your help!

Dude, you really need to read up before posting questions like this. All this has been already discussed and posted before.
Badwolve1 has written a good guide and its an awful waste if beginners dont read it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=691789

[Q] Been at this a week now and need some assistance - Cooking in latest Manila

I have been trying all week to get the latest (or any v2.5) Manila integrated into my ROM. I am using the latest osKitchen. There has been a lot of trial & error but here's what I have done so far:
Import latest HTC WWE ROM - 1.56
Rebuild this ROM just to prove it works
Replace 6.1 Kernel with 6.5 Kernel found on here
Import a newer Windows Mobile Build
Build ROM to test it works with stock OEM drivers/apps etc
Add my own preferred applications & settings etc and rebuild
At this point I now have a working ROM with the apps & settings I need, however it has the stock Manila (TouchFLO 3?) that I would like to replace. I have downloaded LOTS of manila packages and tried including them in the build whilst excluding the stock 'Manila v1.3.37395.2' but each time there is a problem. Typically the device boots OK but locks up during the first boot customisation sequence.
I am assuming (hoping?) other people have followed a similar procedure and hit the same issues? I was hoping for some pointers as to how I get past this hurdle
Thanks, Andy

Been trawling through the Chef Central forum for a week...
There are lots of Manila threads but I can't find anything that matches my issue. Thought I'd try on the Native Blackstone forum
Only got the Blackstone last week - still have the Kaiser until I can get the ROM just as I want it. I'll update my signature
I can't believe that nobody has hit the same issues as me
The stock ROM that I imported simply doesn't have the correct packages or simplu cannot support the latest Manila so needs updating/replacing etc. I have searched and searched (and searched and searched...) but I am really struggling to find out what I need to add/remove/update from the stock ROM packages to get the latest Manila in my 6.5 ROM.
Anyone? Please?
i think you didnt search enough.
if you look to sticky thread there you can see a fully working kitchens.
i would say take a look at there.
Based to this kitchen you will learn more about the packs what you need to use manila 2.5

If you really cant find anything
I can upload mine kitchen which is working great
I did go to the dark side (iphone 4)
I have 42 memory usage after soft reset and it very stable
Its up to you do you want a kitchen which is made by yourself ( which is the best way to learn cooking) or...
cheers
Rambo
Thanks for that link Rambo. I honestly tried searching using different word combinations and could not find that thread
It has helped me somewhat however I am still struggling getting Manila 2.5 to work with osKitchen.
I have now resorted to using the whole of the HTC Leo EXT packages and then replacing/grafting in EXT packages from the original Blackstone dump. This is working but has various issues that need fixing.
I'll plod on....
Andy
it isnt that easy ha

HTC Touch Hd problem

Hello guys,
I have recntly joined the htc HD club i m not much into technical side
I m having some problems regarding this cell fone:
* Phone is really slow n not responding well and at times i really need to tap hard on screen to open a program...
* Time for received SMS is 1 hour later..
* is there any updates available?
Windows 6.5 is installed in it...
OS version 5.2
Manila version 2.5
ROM version 1.56
Rom date 11/10/09
Waiting for experts....
In Settings/system/screen you can Align the screen. This might resolve the tapping problem.
You don't have an official HTC ROM. It is custom made by a HD owner. You might want to change to another ROM. It is also possible that an installed program is slowing the HD down. Try to install some programs in settings/system/remove programs.
If you have a taskmanager, find out how the taskmanager is configured. X to close or to minimize. May be you have to many programs running.

Maybe you should first search / read stickies.
Flashing Blackstone is well documented.
Also, you should check is your Blackstone already HSPLed (also well documented).
And finally, you might want to try it with latest original WM 6.1 ROM, so you will have then platform for comparison. Blackstone was not meant to run under WM 6.5
