Are there any 4x4 photo frame widgets available? Can't seem to find one trying to sift through the amount of porn apps that are on there cluttering it all up.
I just want a nice big 4x4 photo on one of my home screens, any ideas?

Though a business phone,why won't have some wallpapers for X1? The resolution has to be 800*480. So guys get us some sites to get them. I tried Zedge,but they made some 320*480 walls,which is useless for X1.

Looks great with TF3d over it, well I like it!

(screengrab taken using Mymobiler through wine on an Ubuntu box, who says you can't get wm to talk to linux )
I guess the wallpaper should really be minimum 800x800 px so it looks alright in landscape mode too.
There are some really cool images at http://www.interfacelift.com. You will have to crop them yourself though.

when i put a picture as wallpaper, while using, say, the xperia black theme (or any other theme for that matter), the image looks as if a grey coat is applied. Anybody know how to fix this?

I use PhotoFiltre Studio, its a free program and works great

set the wallpaper via Pictures & Videos instead. Here you get to select the portrait crop and the transparency level.

I took the liberty to give back for all the help I've got on this forum.
Maybe the best thing I'm good at, playing with photos.
So I picked out some photos I had and cropped them for you guys.
These are 15 wallpapers in 800x800 as it was requested.

What's your favorite? I was using "Android Apps' Weather Widget Forecast", but I do like the detail of the stock app.
I have seen some nice ones in pictures of the N1 so what's all out there that seems to work for you? I'm not very entertained by FB widgets.
My stock weather doesn't work anymore. Sliding the time doesn't update the forecast. Thinking this is a data service issue cost I changed roms and no fix. New Zealand.
Beautiful weather widgets home widget has got my vote.

Weatherbug's free once isn't bad, you have the ads that run, but they have a large and small version. I use the large on on it's own screen. Plus, it has plethora of cities to choose from/locations compared to the stock one.

Pretty neat. They have the one very similar to the one I was using before but I REALLY like the one that is sort of a mix between the stock app and that.

A widget of a good looking, cartoon, longcat. One that would stretch at least up to two of my home screens.

Longcat is a joke. Its pretty funny. Ive seen widgets stretch across 2 pages before. If you still don't believe its possible then I might have been mistaken. Just google longcat. There's one picture of it that looks better than the rest.
Good enough to take up 1x4 on one of my hs.
And the stretch of two hs would just add to it.
I honestly don't want it to do anything. Just like a sticker..basically.

Wouldn't it be easier to just edit whatever wallpaper you use to have a longcat on it?
Im sure it would but..first, I basically only use live wallpapers, second, I don't know how to do that, and third, i want to be able to long-press and move it to different pages or different parts of a page.
And hopefully different parts of multiple pages.. damn that's a long cat

Lol. Well, as far as I know, it's not possible to have a widget span multiple homescreens.
I would like to start off by saying that coming from winmo with the touch pro 2, i really hate how flooded the market is with crap. im so glad my disdain for apple kept me away from the iphone.
with that being said, the thing I loved the most about touchflo was the picture tab. it made taking good pictures rewarding because they were always on display essentially right on the homescreen. furthermore, the way you could scroll through all showcasing the great pics you've taken was great. it also only showed the pictures taken with the camera.
unfortunately the gallery app that comes with the phone is lame in comparison, and the widget only shows one picture. all of the market's Apps have been pretty bad...
does anyone know of any Apps that are similar to touchflo's picture tab?
if not, can this be moved to the app section so that someone who would be interested in creating one can see it?

I have no idea how touchflo works but have you tried this app below? I had it on my evo and it floats the images across the screen very nicely, people are very impressed when they see it.

The widgets available for the BBC news app are both 1 block taller than they were on my S3. They take up 4x3 and 4x2 as oppose to 4x2 and 4x1. This leaves the widget centred vertically with a lot of clear space above and below.
Is this something that requires an update to the app to fix?

If you are on TouchWiz you can't do anything about it. On a custom launcher you can customize a lot more, including resizing ANY widget.

I haven't used a custom launcher for a while. I think having 1gb RAM on the S3 meant it didn't run than well when I tried it. Maybe I should give it another shot with this phone.

If your worried about performance I recommend apex launcher. I'm using next launcher at the moment, it's highly customizable but costs money. apex is free.
