I have a HD mini and have somehow managed to change the clock n the tray to an analog clock the problem is the power icon is over the top and I can't see how to change it back I assum it was digital before. I have seen some posts about holding on the clock but as the power icon is over the top all i get is the notifications manager. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks.
How did you do it ?
If you tried to fix the registry or something . Just change the value back.
--------------
I couldn't figure it out.
Had to clear the Phone - restored it to original settings.
Please include proper instructions/warnings from next time

hi, Firstly, YOU HAVE TO BE AT THE LOSCREEN and tap it once. Then you must press for 3 to 4 seconds on the time icon which is high and at the right side of the phone.

Wow, it works, but effectively in my ROM version 136.xxxx the analog clock is hiddend by the power icon and become unusable.
For whose they do not understood :
When the screen is LOCKED, the top bar apears. You press on this top bar for a while and when you relase it you receive a menu permitting to toggle the clock from analog to digital or reverse.

Is there a way to permanently LOCK the clock display format while in the Phone Mode? Or just lock it permanently regardless of what you are doing?
Here's what I am talking about... while using the phone and pressing the Wizard up against my ear, somehow I manage to CHANGE the clock format from digital to analog with my EAR!!!
How can I lock it to DIGITAL so that the option to change it is no longer available?
There MUST be a way to solve this!
I always switch of the phone when I'm calling using the On/Off button on top. This way it is impossible to accidently tap on screen buttons while calling.

If you are asking how to change it back to digital then answer is tap and hold stylus on the clock for a couple of seconds, a menu pops up. Select digital format here (this is what your ear did, only it selected analog). But if you already know this and asking way to disable this functionality completely so that your ear can't use it accidentally then I don't think there is any. Hope this helps.
Settings
You can disable the touchscreen when you are using the phone. Check through the various settings, I do not remember where it is located but I am sure that is there.
I also would like a solution for the "ear tapping issue".
Maybe a reg hack or something that overrides a reg change automatically.

Can anyone help me with this problem... The Backlight Adjustment slider for on external power, in settings, has disappeared and I don;t know why. It was there last night, and this morning I put the HD2 in the docking cradle and the screen went darker, so I looked in the settings and noticed the slider had disappeared, this has happened once before, but it came back after installing a new ROM.
I have just installed a new ROM "Dutty's Leo Multi-Lang V2" yesterday afternoon and the slider was there after flashing the ROM and last night, Any ideas please...
U should try pressing the "Hangup" button until you can select "Lock Phone" (or similar, as i have dutch version). Now this unlock slider will re-appear.

I was not on about the unlock slider, I was talking about the adjustment slider in settings for the backlight, see image...
Did you scroll to the bottom of that page? It isn't visible on the initial screen.
In the registry, HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\
Set ACBrightNess and BrightNess to 5.
Some program most likely messed with it and brought it out of the 1-10 valid range.

Hi kilrah. Thanks for the regedit, that has fixed it, thanks for your help.
I don't know what it was that messed it up, could docking it into my cradle cause it, I have a new cradle that has audio out which has a phono plug that goes into the headphone scoket when you dock it into the cradle and I have a mini speaker attached to the cradle? Thanks again
Is anyone else having an issue with CM7 where the right combination of gestures or touches while cause the menu bar to disappear? I have no idea how to reproduce it, or how to recover from it (short of a reboot) but it's happened at least 4 times i as many weeks.
Just curious if something is corrupt with my install or if it's a common issue.
If the bar is just invisible (the buttons still work, but there are no graphics), just rotate the screen and they should come back.
If you've touched the double-chevron button and the status bar went away, an app has requested fullscreen mode and the chevrons grant the request. Hit "home" to get somewhere that isn't fullscreen. You can pick an "un-hide" button and do other similar things in Settings/Tablet Tweaks, look for "Disable Fullscreen" and "Choose unhide button".
If neither of the above holds, your statusbar has crashed. There's an app that's supposed to bring it back, but that never worked properly for me. I have to reboot.
This hasn't happened to me in recent nightlies, but I'm not positive that the problem is really gone yet.

I've had the menu bar disappear while certain apps were open, preventing me from accessing the app menu and had to use the 'n' button to get out. To get around this I am using Button Savior.

That's my situation. The status bar / buttons disappear, so I hit the physical home button (the N as in Nook button), but the bar is still gone. This was happening on 7.0.3... i just installed 7.1 RC1 and haven't had it happen yet... we'll see.

Go to Settings/CyanogenMod settings/Tablet Tweaks, and check to see that you have the "Disable fullscreen" option checked. That prevents apps from overriding the status bar visibility. Additionally, you can setup an "unhide" button in case you accidentally hit the chevron or otherwise lose the Tablet Tweaks status bar.

Because you say "menu bar" and later on say you press the N button and they are still missing I believe you are talking about the ADW menu buttons (the launcher and apps buttons). If that is what you are referrinng to then you should go into ADW settings and uncheck the hidden taskbar option. By default it is checked.
can reproduce it on my EVO
I found out how to make the menu disappear, but cannot make it reappear.
I have an EVO 4G (original supersonic) and I am able to make the bottom home menu disappear using a downward swipe. I've done this accidentally quite a few times. (I'm referring to the Phone/Square/World Icons that launch the primary apps)
However, I do not know how to make it come back. I have been able to swipe randomly and get it to reappear, but I do not know what combination actually causes this.
The only way I know how to bring it back for sure, is a reboot. I wish I knew what that swipe combination was to restore the menu

By "Menu Bar", do you mean the the Dock where you can access the App Drawer?
If this is it, then you just have to swipe it up. But to just to warn you, it is "VERY HARD" to get the right swipe for it to show again. Trust me, I tried. Best solution would be to disable the "HIDE" Capability of the Dockbar by going into Settings>ADWLauncher>UI Settings Go down to Hidden Dockbar and disable Dockbar.

you need to get into the system UI Tuner. To do that you’ll need to swap down your quick panel and long press the setting gear icon for about 7-10 seconds then you’ll see system UI Tuner at the bottom of your setting window next to the About phone setting. enjoy

Been trying to get System UI Tuner working on my Nexus 6P, I have developer options enabled but it just work. I've tried pressing for 2-3 seconds, pressing for 5, pressing for 10.
Also tried on Nexus 9 and HTC One M8 GPE with no luck.
