I have this problem - I have a HTC Hermes SPV M3100 for some time did not work for me the touch screen. How it works the same in the upper right corner is pressed all the time. And I do not have coverage. phone to work normally until I bought him the memory card and 8 g pocketmusic uninstalled. Can someone help me?
Moved as a Hermes is not a Kaiser.

mine was originally on Orange however i upgraded to wm 2005, (wished I hadnt) I am going to go back to a basic 2003se rom will the XDA II be ok ? :?:

WM5 on SPV M1000
Tried also WM5 on mij SPV M1000. Looked excellent, but.... had great difficulties in connecting my Rikaline BT GPS. Finally I gave up and went back to WM2003SE again. Hope for future improvements so I can upgrade tp WM5 again.
By the way: many thanks to all the people that invest susch a great deal of their time in making the pograms available for digibetes like ME!

SPV M1000
SPV M1000 = Himalaya. I've just used the Magic Code and it unlocked it perfectly - though I'm still left with some apparently unremovable Orange files.
maybe shortcuts to them are located in
windows\startup
unwanted Orange Files

I already switched from the Exec and I am not looking back. Although I do miss the VGA screen but Hermes is nice with everything else.

I currentlyhave the m5000 /exec, I have just orderd m3100 from orange am not too sure if i should just wait for the sony P990i. I am hooked on the vga screen of the m500 and the fact that its easy to use for tomtom navigation while in the car. I hate the slowness though.

Right now I have the HP iPAQ 6828, which runs great... Recently I'm starting thinking about upgrading it to the HTC TYTN..
1) The device I've tested was HTC TYTN s/n HT630 , Hermes200, Is this model has the problem of screen alignment I heard about? any other problems?
2) Is it really faster than the iPAQ 6828 becuase of its Samsung proccessor? like the ETEN M600??
3) Is it stable like HP iPAQ ??
4) How about voice calling, is it loud & clear? ( As I was an ex. user of ETEN M600, it's so important for me)
anything else I should know about this device before buying or exchanging with iPAQ 6828?
What about ROMS, what's the newst ROM out there?

I will not be able to help you on your other questions but for Q1 regarding screen alignment ht630 does have screen alignment problems. You can see a thread elsewhere on this forum for more information. You will see a lot of people with ht630 and complaining about screen alignment.
Personally I think that ht641 and above will be safe as yet I have to see a post for these serial numbers complaining of screen alignment

2) I still have my M600 and I just got a 8525. I think the 8525 is just as fast as the M600. Maybe a little faster. It seems to me like the 8525 loads web pages faster over wifi and edge. I know I am getting faster edge bandwith on the 8525. Switching from one app to the next seems to be the same. The stabilty of WinMo 5 seems to be the same.
3) YES! the volume is alot loader than the M600. I installed all of the volume patches on my M600 and it still can't compair to the volume level of the 8525 The speakerphone on this thing is Very Loud!
The only issue I have right now is my a2dp Plantronics 590A wont stay connected to the 8525. I can pair it and listen to music or video but if I turn off the headphones and turn them back on I can't regain connection to the phones stereo output.

not sure were this post belongs but basically i have a mda vario 2 and a spv m3100, i like the look of the m3100 much better so i am going to give the vario 2 to my brother, but i wanted to change the center keys (the bit with the left/right soft keys, ok, yes/no etc.) over to the m3100 because i find it awkward on the m3100 but the vario center keys much more comfortable. i dismantled the vario 2 earlier and notcied it dosnt have a video calling button and also because some of the buttons are re arranged wasnt sure if it would work, any ideas??

Looking to buy the pcb behind the top front call/end call navigations buttons.
I bought a new JasJam shell(said it was compatible with the hermes) for my HTC Tytn but the layout of the buttons and pcb are wider than what can fit in the JasJam shell. I figured other phone pcbs are compatible just in a different form?..
Can someone sell me the need pcb or scarped phone for a fair price?
