What I want to know if it's possible to update the OS? I have 5.2.21905

You cannot really update, you just need to backup your cabs and data, and flash with the newer version ...
I recommend SPB backup , use it in Rom Upgrade mode, works great ....

been on this site a while now and with 02 stopping the download of there official 6.1 release it has forced me to look elsewhere,
I have looked online here and decided i would like this one,

Do i need to find a radio rom? or will it use my existing one?

From my minimal experience, I think that the ROM will use your existing radio. At least this is what happend to me when flashing ROMs without radio. As a suggestion for radio I say the 1.59.42.23 version. I see better signal.
If you don't flash a new radio it will use the existing one.
Normaly cookers say what radio they recomend, i'm using myself 1.59.42.23 with good results.

after some tinkering and playing i now have Hard SPL installing and the Syrus R4 rom installed and it works lovely!
Now im looking at upgrading my radio to Polaris Radio 1.64.08.21,
Ive donwloaded the file and and now just pondering how to run it?
Do i just run ROMupdateUtility.exe ?
that would the file i would run but wanted to check first!
Also this wont affect the syrus rom will it?

Hi,
Radio 1.64.08.21 is not compatible with latest WM 6.1 ROMs, if you flash it you will not have Camera and phone working correctly.

What would you reccomend to be the best verison for it?
1.59.42.15 or 1.59.42.23
The best and most compatible radio for cooked Wm6.1 is in my opionion 1.59.42.23!
1.64.08.21 is NOT the newest one - don't wonder about the higher version number - it was portetd from another device!
I have now downlaoded 1.59.42.23 radio,
if it doesnt work can i always revert to an older radio rom?
also does anyone know what radio the official 02 xda 6.1 relase has since i think i have them at the momnet,

I am having a really hard time deciding on a ROM to flash since it will be my first time. I heard that Energy and Kumar are fast and reliable but I wanted to here from people who already have it installed. What do you commend?
1. What I am really aiming for is something really really fast with not that many bugs, eye candy is not a major factor.
2. Will I have problems installing apps from OpenMarket or MarketPlace? For example...will I have a problem installing Garmin on a flashed ROM?
3. Will I lose MMS settings?
4. Is there a ROM that has Cookie Home Tab updated version 1.7.1?

I want to find a rom that included CHT input....
I am using 1.72 wwe in HK, i think the Rom is pretty good comparing 1.48. I actually had tried many famous cooked rom, eventually back to 1.72 stock due to stable, chinese word..etc. I usually using task 29 before flashing rom even stock rom for clearing all memory. I will hard reset the device after flash rom everytime. I just installed Netcf 3.5, Chainfire 2.0 graphic driver and Leocpuspeed cab(1ghz speed). Absolutelly perfect, No need for cooked rom.

Hello.
When booting into an Android (2.2) based ROM, everything seems to be working fine. The only problem that I have come in contact with is the audio speed. Music plays too fast, is sped up, etc. I did make sure to click the "clrcad" file before booting into Android.
Any ideas?

I'm running the minimal ChuckyDriod WM Rom with 2.12 radio rom and the combo works great for any android build I've tried.

I had the same problem when I first installed android, running Chuckyrom and radio Leo_RADIO_2.12.50.02_2. I swapped the radio to Leo_RADIO_2.10.50.26** and that got rid of the audio problems.
Lately I've installed ChuckyDroid and are now running android without any major hick-ups.

I installed chucklite rom last night and froyo sense 3.2 android build but I'd quite like to change my rom. What steps do I need to take? Ive installed a new radio and hardspl can I just install a new rom as I did the first time? Also, has anyone tested the new htc rom for Europe with Froyo sense 3.2? I have radio 2.12.50.02_2
