Hey,
Just thought i'd throw in another post with my frustrations....
Its been ages and no news about a universal upgrade is out, gets me all sick and worried if this really is the end to this form factor
The ultimate 7150 looks like its taken a total $h1t, the omni looks like its taking birth in its graveyard, whats going on?
San
I personally really like the look of the Ultimate 7150, the design fixes most of the frustrations I had with my Universal. However, I'm not sure if it'll ever see the light of day - considering i-mate looks like they're only going to release the 6150 and 8150 .

Guys seen this?
http://www.clonedinchina.com/2009/08/pictures-of-htc-hero200-leaked.html
That thing look ugly compared to the european htc hero. Guess ill keep my hero even if 3g doesn't work.I got used to it already.
Yeah - I'm glad Australia supports 3G bands with the original Hero
Oh dear lord no! I've been waitng for the Hero and I will get the Hero! Not that piece of crap! Ugh I guess if that comes out on Sprint, I'm going to have to wait for a Rogers Hero so I can at least use 3G.
Please Sprint get the European Hero with the update. T_T
I don't like this one, its so ugly. i like the the hero that i now have the original look and i'm happy with it
I actually don't mind the re-design, I JUST WANT THE CHIN !!!
They call that a Hero???
There is only one real Hero and it's the Eu (white) one!!!
Proud owner of a sim-free white hero!!!
Mm, saw this on Engadget this morning. Can you say ugly!? Glad I have the original
yeah this really looks ugly and boring, but it seems like some carriers are afraid of using anything different than the IPhone formfactor.
i'm also happy to have the white teflon coat hero!
Hopefully thats the crap sprint gets. And the Hero that passed FCC with 850/1900 will be the original.
i really hope this isnt sprint's version of the hero. it does have a sprint look to it so i don't doubt it. maybe the dude who called the hero out for us can justify this.
Oh man... that thing looks so average and boring and a little on the bad side of disstastefull =_=;
What are they thinking? the oringinal hero looks pure sex, but this thing makes the G1 look nice >_<
Is it the market they are trying to apeal to? they some how think gold trim is what the majority of people want..
Maybe it was because many people complaining about the beautiful chin and thus they want to appeal to the mass? I personally love the chin and can't wait to get my hands on the Hero in a few days.
I love the Chin. I want my Chin. Luckily for me i also have the sim free white teflon coated HTC Hero and using with T-mobile US!
This thing is beatiful and all my friends envy me for having it. they either have an iphone or some windowd mobile crap... Nothing compares to the Hero especially after applying the leaked update. This thing is blazing fast!
So disgusting, I want a Hero SO bad, but would like 3G to at least work if I'm spending that much money
I don't like it at all, but is that Battery on lock screen thing a widget that currently exists?

It's just a battery status notification when your battery is at critically low level.
Its the new htc android based phone codename: Tattoo. It will be a budget model.

It *is* the Sprint "Hero"

what a disappointment!
I've been waiting months for the hero to come out in the US only to be disappointed! Why would they do this to us!?
If I could buy a Hero in its original design and have it work on the 3G network for TMo, I would definitely buy it rather than Sprint's monstrosity.
Well I just wanted to say Hello and Introduce myself I have been in the Android scene for a little while now With my HTC ARIA Before that I had a dual boot Win Mo and Android on my HTC Fuze. Both great phones and mad with really good quality. Tomorrow I am going to pick up a Dell Streak since Best Buy mobile only has it for $50 with new 2yr agreement. Can't pass that deal up. So I will hopefully be more frequent on this fourm like I used to back in my Fuze day. I can't wait to have that big azz phone in my hands tomorrow. It's going to be awesome!
You're going to love it.
Best phone I have ever had!
Sent from the Unstoppable SuperStreak!
fyi, there's a dell sreak syndrom effect and currently there's no cure yet. Once you get hooked to the massive 5" screen you don't want to go back to anything smaller and currently there is no similar screen size phone in the market. You're warned !!! You'll love it and enjoy it !!!
See my signature for some Streak references.
Welcome.
Hello!!!! Welcome to the club!
well I got the Dell Streak today. I fell in love with it at first site. Most people that I showed it to gave me a "HOLY ****, That's a phone" answer. . Updated it to 2.2 and it is a lot cooler. I miss the tablet setup from the 1.6 but oh well. I will most likley root it one of these days but I am going to play with it for a couple days just to get used to it. Moving from an super small HTC aria to this huge phone will take a little getting used to but man it's so much better than any phone I have ever had!
Welcome. I just got my used Streak 5 about a week ago. It's the best phone for the money I could have ever hoped to get, particularly for what I paid used.
It has a few minor cosmetic issues, but the screen and every functional component make me glad I bought it.
I got rid of the Stage UI and switched to ADW launcher and the Ray dialer, as I found the default dialer horrendously ugly, and I'm super pleased.
You'll have a great time.
'em in luv with my streak tooo.
got my streak some cloths from here, l00king sexier.:]

i have 2 questions :
1. is outterbox commutter worth buying, right now m having skins on it from above link (m really confused on this one , as buying outter box and getting it shipped to my country india will probably make the cost to 40+ $.)
2. How bestbuy gives a 300+$ device for 5$ , is it kinda contract like at&t or something?
Hi guys, some of you may know me as 'The guy who made the videos for those ROMs' but, basically my name is Joe, and I used to make videos reviewing ROMs for developers on YouTube. I sold my HD2 last week and it feels like the end of an era. I just brought a Galaxy S2.
Here is my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/RandomSklar?feature=mhee
Should I continue this series with the GS2?

I too recently upgraded from the HD2 to the S2, and I'm lovin' it.
My vote is a resounding, "YES, PLEASE!!". I'd be thrilled to see some of your vids for the S2!
I recommended SII to a friend because he was looking to change from Iphone. He got it and was quite happy with his phone until he realised he can't have dual booting WP7 and Android, like I do on my HD2... So now he is somewhat envious of my phone and what it can do.
Just wondering what price you got for your HD2. What condition was it in and what ROM did you sell it with? My HD2 is retired but I still have it. It has a few dents and scratches and I have tytungs ICS Beta9 ROM on it. What should I expect for it?
How sad guess it's all going to go that way soon

sorry for the late reply. I got £120 for it in good condition, but I reverted it to the stock ROM before sending because people like to think they got it as new when you sell them a used phone
advertise on the used category on amazon to get the best price. don't do ebay because they go for around 90 pounds average.
I would like to thank all of the awesome devs here in the Nexus One forum. You've taken me from a android noob, to a not-so-noobish noob. I'm still learning but I've recently got a One X. My N1 went south when it took up smoking and well.... It blew up. That's what you get for overclocking it way to much. But I would like to thank each and everyone of you for being awesome. Nexus One, You honestly changed me as a person and opened a whole new goal in life.
Okay enough of the rambling, I'm off to enjoy my 1X.
Take care guys.

yeah thank you all
I bought XPERIA S
Evervolv for ICS rom
Sad... I'm going to change my phone soon too, but the Nexus 1 will stay in my heart!
Am i the only one noticing that Jay_Rulen said thanks for leaving? LOL So you think it is good of him to leave?
I moved on to the Galaxy SII and will miss my N1. Thanks for the good times everyone!
whoa that's really sad, nd its great that u got one x, which is a successor of our nexus one
I'm in a similar boat. I recently had to replace my N1, and it will be sorely missed. Especially the LED trackball! Sadly enough, the google nexus is too big for my taste, and I didn't really want to spend $400 up front on a new phone so I picked up another phone instead.
I've vowed though, that as long as the next Nexus device is sized more like what I prefer, I will buy it!
I can't believe it, but I'm saying goodbye to my trusty N1 too. I'm still going to keep it around for media stuff around the house, but I got to get me some of that LTE. And IMO, the HTC One X is the first phone that is a true successor to the Nexus One.

My N1 is still alive, but I have moved on to the galaxy nexus and I also find the screen is a little too big for my liking. Screen colour is also sub-par comparing to the N1, I never see proper white colour being displayed even after adjusting RGBs and gamma values.
I bought the japanese galaxy nexus for around $325usd, shipped to hong kong via yahoo auction jp a month ago.
Though I am still flashing different roms on my N1 to play with
Kept my N1
I still use the N1 when I travel and put prepaid SIM's or my own SIM in it. It is smaller than the Inspire and then the Galaxy Nexus that followed it. If it would take ICS, I would probably be using it more. I really like ICS over Gingerbread and the extra zip of the dual core.
Anyway, it stays in my travel bag as a spare.
Phil
that sucks man. but i'm looking at exchanging my n1 for 1x as well
i'm selling my last nexus one now. it's in perfect shape and i'll get around $300 US for it in my country where imports are closed. i got to sell it now or never! i've moved to a gnex but i'll miss my first real phone.
Same here ... I'm moving to GNex now that price is affordable ...
I'm a bit sad because I really enjoyed the first nexus ... It was a pleasure to play with hundreds of custom roms and get support from this awesome devs community.
Thanks to all you awesome guys!
I'm planning to sell my Nexus One,,as the First Android device, this Smartphone has served me with pleasure... The devs are awesome as well...But the world is changing..Need better Specs now..I will miss my Sexy Nexy the most !!
