How to format and install another WM? - Touch Cruise 2 General

hello there, does anybody now how to format the cell HTY t4242 and re install a windows mobile? the most important thing the cell doesent do, he cant have a bar of signal i think i tried all i could, please help.

if the problem's just the signal, have you tried flashing a new radio.
is the rom an original one (wm 6.1 that the phone came with) or have you flashed a modified rom? if it's a new rom you might not have upgraded/flashed a compatible radio, in which case check the main post about the modded rom and see which radio to use.
if it's the original rom, try any radio.
the radio that you flash affects the way the phone tunes in to different signals. some work than others in particular areas and vice versa.
for instructions and the radios look in the rom development section. (can't post links cos i've just started in the Iolite section)
hope this helps
ALSO, i take it it is an original one and not a chinese rip off. if it's a chinese rip, such as T4242+ etc, then it maybe that the band frequency doesn't work in your area. also the rom for it is different, so i don't know flashing a radio from here would help. (nor would i recommend it). to check, you need to bring up the settings/system/about and see if the processor and ram match an original, the fakes often use different 'internals'. also you can see from settings/system/device info and see what rom and radio you're running.
if it is a fake, there are threads around here on new roms etc for them, haven't read them tho and you'll do the searching

Difference between upgrading Radio and ROM

Hi.
Can someone please tell what is the difference between.. radio and a ROM
i see lot ppl asking for new version of Radio or ROM. Hw r these 2 thing different??
Thanks a lot
I have been trying 2 research the same thing. I have flashed a new ROM. but have no clue on how to install a new Radio, or even where to get them... is there a list and tuts anywhere on how/what to install?
Bee searching with no luck, though I did find a Radio that CR86 had a link to on his Touch HD v2.6 rom though have no idea on how to proceed to install the Radio, so I have my default one on my Wizard atm.

thanks for the info cooper_xda, made things easier, but I'm learning alot about the software side of these devices lately
LAYMAN TERMS.
Radio : phone's communication software to your network/carrier
ROM : Phone's UI Software.
Or, something like that.
correct if wrong.
And to update both radio and rom, you have to flash it, nbh files is avail at htc upgrading forum.
pretty much got it right lol
radio controls all gsm and 3g functions (calls internet etc)
rom is basically windows mobile and all OEM software

GPS issue (Solution found but reason is unkown) Please read and post your knowlege

Hello everyone. I've beeing seying alot of people saying that before a ROM worked with a radio edition , wich GPS worked perfectly and later stoped working, and i decided to study the case in order to know, why is it working.
I've been testing diferent ROMs and Radios.
We've got the radio editions:
Radio_HTC_PVT_32A_6.35.10.18
Radio_HTC_PVT_32A_6.35.08.29
Radio_HTC_PVT_32A_6.35.07.29
And according to an article wich i read here on the forum, teoricly we can use any radio, and the phone wont brickitself.
So i've been using a radio 6.35.08.29, and tested on a ROM wich required the radio 6.35.10.18. As predicted nothing bad happened, worked perfectly . But when i tried the GPS it didnt work. Anyways i decided to test a ROM wich required a 6.35.07.29 radio. Happened the same thing. GPS didnt work.
I Flashed 6.35.07.29 radio on that rom. GPS worked without any problem. I changed radio again to 6.35.08.29 GPS didnt work again.
Once again i went back to my original ROM, and happened that my GPS didnt work, wich before have worked, like the situation most of us encounter here at the forum.
What can we conclude from this?
In my opinion, there are files from the radio wich when we make a backup or even install a new rom, wich wont complete the system instalation of the radio, and you'll have to reflash the radio edition compatible with the ROM you just instaled.
Another theory is that after installing an incompatible ROM, GPS is turned off automaticly .
Anyways, i would like to know your experience and your opinion, i'm sure here are people wich know more about this then i do
Thank you. Best regards everyone!
anyone?
This would be very interesting stuff if it could be proven correct.

Thanks for the reply. i know. Also this would help to avoid bricks and unecessary procedures. The porpuse of this threat is to understand what makes this happen in orther to avoid, and make everything functional.
I have no idea whether this makes sense or not. I also don't agree that "Solution found" (as in the topic) - rom cooks usually don't state the required radio version beyond 6.35.whatever or the equivalent for old radio, I don't know about any of them being aware of such a (hypothetical) requirement.
My understanding was that the different 6.35 variants are regional editions, and that using the wrong one for your part of the world might make your cellular telephony and/or networking operate suboptimally. Not that I have seen any proof that this actually happens. I guess nobody knows whether the radio stores persistent state of any sort, but I suppose somebody familiar with the kernel source might know whether anything the kernel does depends on the radio version (or minor version). Otherwise the radio requirement would stem only from the origin of the RIL libs and libgps, right?
I don't know much about any of this, so the above is just guesswork. Hopefully someone more informed will contribute to this thread.

I think you are right. Each version is about the region i didnt remember we had diferent GSM frequency around the globe.
what confuded me was that there was ROMS wich Devs said that in order to work we should have their Radio edition. Is this a real problem if we use other radio?
please I would request more cooperation on this post . Thank you!
The same thing happened to me today. I had tried a 2.1 ROM and returned to my 1,5 CursorSense and my GPS would not work. I found that reflashing the Radio cleared up the problem. There are several posts in the CursorSense thread that describe the problem and fix.

Do a search on the CursorSense ROM Thread for GPS:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=592856
thanks i didnt know there was a button search for thread. Very helpfull, i've been searching i found no fix. But if there is i must find out to see if is related.
Just confirmed something, this patch is not related to the GPS fix. GPS wont find location unless you reflash the rom of the location wich the rom was made for. Wich respects again this teory. I would request if possible someone to assist in this ! thanks
anyone? Big please?
i request again more knowlege please
It worked for me!
I went to 2.1 roms, then switched back to Cursorsense and lost GPS, so I reflashed Radio_HTC_PVT_32A_6.35.10.18 and it works!
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
so... if i understand... we must flash each of those versions to see witch works?
mine works but only after using gps status aplication to get a fix

If I flash my HD2 T9193 will I still have acces to ??

Hi all, yes sorry newbie nob here.
I have been reading this site for days & days to make sure I get it right but still not sure
If I load a HSPL and then a ROM (which one I have nooo idea) will I still have the Outlook and Office software or will that be wiped out to.
The main reason for getting the HD2 was the original functionality but I need to loose the Telstra hardcoded stuff.
thanx
There are so many Roms to choose from
Dutty, NRG, Chucky etc they are all great as they all offer different things for different users
Most will have the same stuff you are after usually called a stock Rom
others will have lots of stuff taken out LITE Roms
Choose a Rom chef and look at the Rom they are providing stick to one in the beginning to get used to flashing and read there threads they will usually have what is included at the beginning of that ROM thread if ur not sure ask in that thread most users here are very happy to help you out as we all started where you are now
To get started go to the ROM section and have a real good read at the thread on flashing your first ROM for noobs. And before you decide to do anything, re-read the first post.
Just so you get the hang of it, it is best to HSPL then flash the latest HTC ROM (this includes the main ROM and the Radio ROM). Once you feel a bit more confident, then you can go ahead any try the custom ROMs - remember that the custom ROMs will specify which Radio ROM has to be flashed prior to flashing the main ROM.
The main ROM includes the operating system, Office mobile, Manila & all the programs you already have except the operator specific ones. The Radio ROM controls all connectivity - WiFi, FM Radio, Bluetooth, GPS, telephone connections (including data) - it also has a major impact upon battery.
Thank you, thank you, thank you this answers everything (well for now)
I'll go read the Flashing your 1st ROM for Nobs AGAIN - think I've read it 10 times now lol
Oh I think I'm going to enjoy this new phone adventure

To answer this question: Most, if not all, custom ROMs contain Outlook and Office Mobile -- they are essential software in WM.
On a sidenote: It's best to try out multiple ROMs. That way, you can find one that suits you best.
I don't believe it, after weeks of being a total NOB and reading and re reading I have finally flashed a rom to my HD2 -
It was easy thank you all sooo much - now I'm hooked. lol

Dude, your asking for trouble on this one, see when you started this thread did you notice the the list of similar threads that comes up?
Its been asked time and time again and some folk on here can get very very vocal when people keep asking the same questions without looking at the quite obvious theads and stickies detailing what you need to do
Another question, have you searched at all? ok i see the search function is still down so will let you off that one, but there are various stickies at the top of the Q&A section for WP7 that will help
Im not going to detail everything you need to do, but i will give you a basic list, you can find everything you need either on the stickies on the various HD2 forums, or in the Wiki, remember most of what you need to do before you even think of installing WP7 is on the standard HD2 forums.
Anyhow, here goes, (note whilst you cant search on xda developers you can (and i always use this because its much better) seach via google, use strings like "XDA DEV LEO install HSPL")
first things first you need to unlock the device, so you will need to find and follow the directions for installing HSPL
you will then need to install the correct Radio, if you have the TMOUS 1024MB HD2 you must be very careful as flashing incorrect Radio will give you a brick, most HD2s are not this version unless you live in the states. search the HD2 WP7 stickies to find out which radio
then you will need to install the MAGLDR 1.13, use google if the XDA search is nackard, search for strings like "XDA DEV LEO MAGLDR install how to"
once thats taken care off your ready for WP7, boot to MAGLDR and get it ready for a USB flash and away you go.
Im not doing this to be rude, because i could have just as easily wrote down eveything you need to do, im doing this to help you, if you read the threads you will "learn" whats going on, you will see some of the issues other people have had and you will see how they fixed them, me telling you what to do wont teach you anything and you will be back on here starting new threads about something equally well documented.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=923997
note, its very unlikely you will brick your device, unless you have a 1024MB version and flash the wrong radio, more often that not, when people report bricked devices they simply have to go to boot loader mode and flash a new ROM, a stock ROM would put you right back to a factory default, radio and all. so dont panic about that, there is also the SD card flash if you cant do it via USB for any reason, but in all my years ive never had to do that.
oh an use a class 2 or 4 SD card, might not work but its a better chance than others.
Hey sorry about that, I tried searching as mention by you which didn't work. I thought the stickies threads was just rules, didn't know it includes links.
Also where can I find these radios on xda instead of some other website?
Also what's the difference between 512MB and 1024MB? Well of course it's double memory.
My phone is from UK, so i guess it's a European model?
I know I could search for these information but I thought this might show up on google search for other newbies. Thank you for helping me
1024=Tmous=USA
512=Rest of the world so you have a 512 (rom , not ram)
You can find all radios in the wm6.5 dev section (HD2 is a wm6.5 phone after all ^^ )
two words mate,
read up.

good luck!
Look, if you have questions then ask but make them specific, like the two you just gave and the radios arent on a very obvious location as ^ has mentioned, if its a UK phone you have nothing to worry about, WP7 cant use the extra 512MB of ROM anyway
remember though, google is your friend!
try search for "XDA DEV LEO radios" on google without quotes
the one you want will be the first thread or if not it will be within the top 5 XDA DEV results
same for HSPL and MAGLDR
if you get stuck youve had a look about an cant find what you are looking for then drop a question, an just say, look ive tried this this and this but im buggered if i can work it out, can you guys help
and perhaps once your done you could give complete step by step guide including all links and downloads, because your right, its not all in one place but it is all there.
One thing you MUST NOT DO is use a USA Raido to update your 512 HD2 cause you will brick your phone and it's gone till you find someone who can jtag your
phone and fix it which will cause you alot of money. Make sure you read up before
trying anything.
WP7 is quite tempting, I agree.
Though, I must admit, I'd be a little wary about installing it, as it seems like it's still quite new.
If you want to give it a shot though, I recommend picking a build out of those listed here, and reading through all the instructions and comments before deciding to install it.
Also, before you try anything, be ABSOLUTELY SURE your stuff is backed up. I can't say how many times I've lost things on my phone because I've accidentally updated a ROM without say, backing up my contacts.
I now use Google Sync to keep all my Windows Mobile and Android contacts backed up, so this doesn't happen.
I'd recommend setting up a google account, and following these instructions to backup your contacts with your google account prior to trying anything.
Anywho, bestest of luck!

europe can flash 2.xx.50.xx and 2.xx.51.xx on 512mb UK version
ok, since this is the only thing that can give you a really bad day
download this radio here
http://www.multiupload.com/QP0IWGY42F
you will find everything you need about radios on this thread here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
The directions are on that link above but basically you will also need to get two other things
Custom RUU, found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4798017&postcount=1
that is the flashing program its self, when you download a radio it wont have an installer, it will be just a single file, you will need it to flash any WM6.5 ROM or radio but usually the ROMs will have one included.
HSPL, found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5279234#post5279234
this is the really important bit, this "unlocks" the device and gives you a layer of protection should you screw it up, which is most unlikely anyway download the attached file in post number 4, its the most recent and covers pretty much anything
righty once you have all that on your PC in a nice easy to find location its time to start modding it!
HSPL first, download the program and follow the instructions on the HSPL thread, which is more or less, run the program with your phone connected and charged up, IF it cant do it then it will tell you. For WP7 you MUST install HSPL2.08 when prompted.
once done, you will not notice any difference.
now follow the directions for installing the radio you downloaded use the CustomRUU, firstly extract the file then rename the extracted file to "RUU_Signed.nbh" and flash with the CustomRUU by just placing them both in the same folder (no other files in there) and running the customRUU
THAT is the hard part done, next is MAGLDR, let us know how you get on with that

Mr Philo have you got your activation code for WP7? Just dont waste your time flashing WP7 until you get a code from Microsoft.
And yes the search engine on here is not very good, but as the others said use Google.
Also when I started using XDA, i spent loads of time reading through most of the threads. And yes I read a lot before I even started to think about flashing.
But we were all Noobs, and we will help you out when you get stuck?
Also go to this thread for all info :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=971478
Hey guys thanks for all the information! I just downloaded all the files that are needed and named them step by step in a folder.
First I can't check what SPL version I have. I did hold down the lower volume button down, but it only brings me to the 'vibrate, silent etc adjustment' (Yes i was holding it for 20 seconds). And it says do a reset, while holding down?? How can I do that. Sorry I know im failing already !
EDIT: Flower thankyou for the thread, but I was using it as well ! But its just the SPL bit im confused at :\
Oh yeah, I have already got a code yesterday from the UK Microsoft, was very easy
Start in bootloader mode. Shut down the phone / push and keep the vol down button and press the power button once...and wait 5s

Thanks, my SPL is 3.03.000!! So I need to flash a ROM or something to get SPL 1.42.0000?
I currently don't have a SD card with me right now as I left it at home and will be going home next week. So is there anyway I can flash a ROM without using a sd card?
You need to flash an old rom to get an old spl, then flash HSPL 2.08.
No need for a sd for this, juste start your phone in BL mode and execute the ruu from your pc
Which ROM should I download from the HTC website? I mean theres a few ROMs for HTC HD2.
Theres ROM Upgrade for HTC HD2 - 2010-10-11
ROM Upgrade for HTC HD2 - 2010-01-25
etc?
Sorry for all the questions !
I used this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944995 (the Standard Version) as it already have the phone unlocked etc and have no problems with it...and had no problems activating it as well. However a lot of the other ROM's now also have your phone already unlocked etc...and most ROM's at the moment should be pretty similar as it uses the same base files.
Edit:
However...on this ROM...one of the first XAP files you should load is the Connection Setup.xap

How Do I Change the Radio ROM?

i got static on my hd2 when i make calls. it was suggested that i change the radio rom to hopefully eliminate the static. i've never modded an hd2 phone before. i got a stock 6.5 on it. i hope its possible to change the radio rom without modding the stock 6.5. how do i change the radio rom? what are the steps?
i ask ONLY serious ppl to reply, no trolls or negative ppl.
You change the radio just like you do a ROM you can flash it via USB are flash it via SD card. Download thw Radio you want to flash and put your HD2 into bootloader by holding down the volume doen button while powering on your HD2. Connect it to you computer via USB and wait for the Serial in the white bar of bootloader to change to USB and then flash the radio.
Be adviced though with a stock ROM if it is a 3.14 ROM these ROMs are ver dependant of what radio version you have on the phone. They need a 2.15.50.14 or 2.14.50.02 radio. If you want to use any lower radio version than these you will need to flash a custom ROM, but they may still give you issues as most of the very resent custom ROMs are based of 3.14 stock ROMs
Do not forget my wartning from my other post about what radio versions not to flash.

hi, T-Macgnolia. good to hear from u again. ok, i read your message on my other thread. below are my current specs. but honestly, this phone shouldnt make any static calls whatsoever. its brand new. it should make CLEAR calls right out the box and i shouldnt have to flash it with any roms as a result.
os version: 5.2.21913 (21913.5.0.94)
manila version: 2.5.20181424.0
rom version: 3.14.531.1 (04666) WWE
rom date : 9/29/10
radio version: 2.15.50.14
protocal version: 15.42.50.11W
it looks like i got the most current version of the radio and stock rom.
but to be honest, all this flashing sounds risky and complicated. i already owned TWO hd2s and they gave the same static. i sent the 1st one to htc for repair TWICE and it came back unrepaired. i bought a 2nd hd2 and it had the SAME static. at this point, i cant beleive that any hd2s are static free. are you guys sure u dont have static everytime someone talks on a call?
also, this loser, samsamuel, is harassing me and i dont know why!! i STRONGY urge u to ban this guy from my thread and any of my future threads. he harassed me in my prior thread and hes creating problems on this one.
Lol, I was calling you on your bad attitude, not harassing you but enough said, I'll not post in your thread again.
Best of luck with your defective Leo.
lol "i'm not paranoid, they really are out to get me!"
i just want to add a few things:
1. you shouldn't HAVE to mess with your device. in an ideal world, it should work out of the box. but such is life...
2. the rest of us don't HAVE to help you...but we do, and for free! mind you, samsamuel's thoughts and posts are valuable and insightful, and i guess any "attitude" you received was probably well placed because your conclusion in your previous thread was based on statistical evidence when we all know that "correlation doesn't imply cause and effect". finally, your "how to change radio ROM" query has already been well answered and well documented on these forums, just search and read!
and now for the thread topic:
1. having the latest version of the radio doesn't mean it is the best version for your combination of network+location.
2. i honestly don't know for sure why you get static on every hd2 you have owned. the odds of getting a lemon so many times in a row are astronomical! mine works just fine. a friend and i brought our hd2s together from the same guy on the same day. his hd2 works fine also. my uncle has two hd2s, both of his work fine. another distant relative has an hd2, and given the pattern, you'd be correct if you guessed that his works fine too. no static on any of these hd2s!
3. are you using a TMOUS sim in the phone? have you tried another sim? have you tried demonstrating the problem to a TMOUS representative in-person?
4. is the device sim free, i.e. can you try another network's sim in your device? worth a shot...might be a long standing network/tower problem in your area.
anyway, cool down dude, don't be all paranoid, no one is harassing you in the true sense of the word...just slightly using the "stick" approach to nudge you into doing more reading and research of your own. it sure beats the whole process of posting->waiting->getting harassed->posting some more->waiting->so on. cheers

i dont want your help.. dont comment on my thread anymore.
Member ASCIIker is correct as it could be your SIM card giving you issues as the HD2 has been know to act kind of funky with some SIM cards. I would see about getting a new SIM card and see if that may solve your issue. You have the current up to date ROM and Radio on your HD2 so it is more than likely a issue with something besides the HD2. Try the a new SIM and then post back here with the result.
Cheers

Damn that sucks man. Have you tried taking your SD card out maybe you got something funky going on with it as I have heard of some people taking their SD card out and it solving weird problems like this.
I assume since you said it was a prepaid card you do have your HD2 SIM unlocked, Ialso know you-know-what what SIzm unlocking is as you talked about it in the first thread I seen you in.
If trying different radios and another SIM card has not helped I am not really sure what could be the issue, unless there is just a bad cell tower or something in your area that is only malfunctioning on the GSM bands the HD2 uses. I find it hard to believe you were unlucky enough to get two HD2s that had the same issue causing static. Not saying it could not happened but the chances astronomical.
Have you tried different radios? It has been busy for my this week and I forget if you have.

I really need to update my radio ROM. But based on my current stock ROM of 3.14, I’m limited to only 2 specific radio ROMS. I’m using one of them and obviously, I’m still getting distortion on calls. As a result, I want to install a custom ROM to install a lower version radio ROM that’ll hopefully remove distortion from calls. As I said before, I’ve never modded an htc phone before.
Since I got a TMOUS phone, you said not to install the following cuz I may brick it:
Leo_RADIO_15.36.50.07U_2.09.51.03 **(from HTC **1.72)
Leo_RADIO_15.31.50.07U_2.07.51.05 **(from HTC **???? )
Leo_RADIO_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07 **(from HTCWT 1.61)
Leo_RADIO_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2 (from HTC ** 1.48)
Leo_RADIO_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50_22_2(from HTC ** 1.43)
Anyway, what custom ROM do you suggest I install for my TMOUS so that i can install the right radio ROM on it? I want one that looks exactly like WM 6.5. also, can you provide the steps needed to install a custom ROM on my SD card.. thank you.

Yes do not flash any of those radios to your HD2 as they will brick your HD2, no might to it, they will brick it. look at the numbers I have highlighted and this is what you look for in radios that will brick a TMOUS HD2, any 2.05.50.xx radio will brick it too.
Ok the one ROM that comes to my mind when you say you want a ROM that is close to stock id the Energy ROMs as the ROM chef NRGZ28 has multiple ROM versions in that thread, all of wich IO highly recomend you just have to pick your flavor. Here is a link to the Energy ROM thread if you want to look at screen shots of all the ROMs as you might find one you like more than the ones he has that are close to stock. Here is a link directly to the post #3 which has the close to stock ROMs in it, you will probably want to go with the Eergy version are the Reference version from this post. to download click on the American flag and then select the most current version of the ROM you want.
Here is something you need to know it will help you know wich download to click on when you go to hotfix from clicking on the flag. This comes straight from post #1 of the Energy ROM thread, I added the red and blue writing to help you understand.
Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.
* The 21916 Build which is the most reliable and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner! I recommend you start with this first!
This is the number for the closest to stock ROMs when you go to the download link.
* The 29017 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.X series with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys. These builds are not as stable or perfect, but they reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. These are also much more finger friendly throughout.
This is number for the ROMs that are a little more modified but still close to stock if you use the ROMs I suggested.

Click on my guide in my signature to learn how to flash HSPL to your HD2 as you will have to have it to flash a custom ROM. It has a link to where you download HSPL and complete instructions on how to flash it.
Almost forgot go to here to learn how to flash via SD card.

hi, T-Macgnolia. thanks for the info. i got a question. i like the 'Reference 21916 build' ROM. but, i dont like the big soft keys (action and menu) at the bottom. i like the way the soft keys look on the stock wm 6.5. can i customize it to make the bottom look exactly like the bottom of the stock wm?
do you know if this ROM is the latest version?
also, hows the battery life on this ROM? i need to make sure that this ROM doesnt drain the battery... this is very important for me.

WM6.5 Stock uses an older Windows Mobile Build.. Build 6.5.3 I believe was the when it started to be more finger friendly and in turn has the larger buttons.. So if you like how the older build looks then look for roms that have that version of WM6.5
Look in the WM6.5 Themes you might find something you like
As for Battery Life.. It all depends many factors... Some say the latest Radio has a higher battery usage while others say the complete opposite.. You must check which combination of Radio/ROM fits your location the best and if the battery is decent enough to stick with.. That why most people start out thinking they wont flash roms, but once they start having problems or want better performace they change their mind

21916 will give you start menu in the top left corner without the big ugly softkeys... thats the other build number.
It only shows that in the pic as it seems to be the most popular version.
Battery life with energy roms tends be less than some other roms as they are optimised for speed. Battery life is by no means bad though. You should still be able to make it through a full day without worrying about running out of juice. That said, there are other roms which will give you better battery life if this is a huge issue for you.
Also, not sure if this has been mentioned yet but when trying out different radios its apparently a good idea to test it out for at least 48hrs before you decide if its making a difference or not.....
Yes koolxx as canantroutman posted the 21916 ROM will give you the same soft keys at the bottom and the same start key at the top like the stock ROMs do.The ROM you like the Reference ROM is based of the latest stock ROM so yes it is the latest ROM. So far as battery life goes I can not give any first hand feed back on this as AI have not used that ROM. What I can do though is refer you to member facdemol's "Various ROMs power consumption" thread, link is below. If you go and read his first post you can see from his test resoults that all ROMs use just about the same power as far as power consumption goes, but he does say that all around the Energy ROM does best on power consumption. Go check the thread out it is a very informative thread and project he is working on.
