Hello, i am sorry for the really lame question but there is no other choice for me. I flashed my tytn yesterday with TAI's HERO V3 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM and can't find anywhere how to transfer my contacts from the SIM card to the phone? I've tried searching for that in google but there are only paid programs to do this for me.
Do you have any idea how can i do this for free?
I found the application i needed by "accident" it is called Shubaruu SIM Manager and is free. I will attach it to the post if someone needs it too to download it.
P.S. Mods please lock this thread.

a little while ago a stumbled upon a program on this forum which could sent a sms message to a phonenumber when the simcard in the phone was changed. I searched, searched and searched (also using google) but can't find it anymore! Anybody knows wich topic it was?
I do not mean the IIWPO topics because on the latest Qtek and IMate ROMs you cannot unlock the Extended ROM.
Try Lockapp

He says it is for WM2003... not sure if it will work for 2005.
You can try the application named Eye on Thief v1.80
Hi! is a retail/freeware version of the sim manager from xda mini? im using an xda atom right now and it's giving me a headache to copy all my contacts to sim manually. I don't want to use outlook/activesync to do it. I really nid it badly.... tnx!
I encountered this problem also when I upgraded to Atom. Because while using xda mini, you can select all the contacts by just highlighting it unlike on Atom (WM5) you have to do it one by one >.<. And it consumes a lot of time! Luckily, when I upgraded my Atom to Jiggs' WM6, my problems with SIM Contacts are solved already. Because the SIM Manager in Jiggs' WM6 is easy to use. You can even choose what numbers you want to save on your SIM. But I'm not sure if there is a way that you can only install the SIM Manager that comes in Jiggs' WM6 ROM.
ITs a DotFred contact list. you can install it.
but sorry cant find the link
I found a similar software, HTC sim manager v6.1 hehehehe will try to upgrade ROM later (this would be my first time) many had recommend it. Im still using the ROM from o2

it's called PPCcontactsManager by dotFred, but I think it has a bug with WM6. device hangups after 3x you open your contacts.
Hi,
I bought a new HTC P3300. It has come with WM6.0 and default theme. After going through this forum, I found so many new ROM. I have a question? Should I try new ROM, if so which one (what does CUBE and without CUBE means) ?
Also are there any documents on steps which I should follow to update ROM. I have read some thread which says just connect Activesync and upload. Also please note that mine is unlocked SIM. Since I am a newbie, asking so many questions, I hope it is OK.
Guys,
I did search if anyone is to mention that, but couldnt see, is the Sim Unlocker Exists for HD2???
I am About to get a t-Mob unit, and will need to use it on Vodafone.
Any quick clues??
Thanks
Not a free app, but i tried the ones recommended here and works fine.

Hi
The one big downside ( well at least some people think so) of WP7.5 is that you cant sync contacts , calender directly with your PC ! So this is something you need to think about before moving to WP7 . Syncing has to be done via "the cloud" so you'll need to set up a windows live/hotmail or a google gmail account.
As for which rom.....we could argue endlessly which is best. Different people have different requirements.
I have been using Pdaimatejam roms ( I'm now on ver 7.8) for a good few weeks now and its working well for me. I suggest you read the threads on a few roms and you'll see what the XDA users think of them.
Activation code. If you want to use marketplace ( apps etc) you'll need an activation code from MS. There are some "other" market place style options but to take full advantage of MS WP7 you'll need to activate it. There's a couple of methods for doing this ( read the threads) I contacted my local MS support and got one within an hour or so via email.
Oh and in general it is a good idea to flash an original WM6.5 first to get your phone back to stock and confirmed working. A "clean" formatted SD card wont do any harm either.
good luck
also try look this tutorial

or http://www.wupload.com/file/2677286812
if you need any radio look in my signature
Using Pdaimatejam 7.9, and is working good. The really drawback is the acess to the SD by the PC
umm ok i think ill also go on Pdaimatejam cuz lots of people sayin that it is good and it have a tut
now about the marketplace and live thing,i didnt understand how to activate it and how to get it to work..can someone explane?

Like any Microsoft product you need an activation code to use it properly.
You can install WP7 ( any of the ROMs) without it and the phone will work you just wont be able to access the official Market place to get apps
It also wont sync ( contacts / calenders )with windows live / hotmail.
WP7 isn't officially supported on the HD2 so when you call or chat with MS helpdesk you should tell them its a HD7 ( which is supported)
Tell them you have just bought the HD7 second hand off ebay or something like that.
I called them and they emailed me the code 1 hour later. Never tried the live chat option but it seems to work for some people.
Once you have a code from them you can use it every time you install / try a ROM
Good luck
7720 to Tango
I have followed Jayce0oi instructions to install Mango 7004 then 7720 to HD2.
Is there a similar step by step to go from here to Tango 8773(?) as the download is in a different format, .rar as opposed to .cab, or does ...CAB-sender work with .rars also?
Jayce says ask XDA.
Apologies for ignorance!
Hey, I have this ROM and highly recommend it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833 also just follow the tutorial that you can download with the other files.
