hi before i say my problem sorry about my english
i have a HTC DIAMOND with 3G+ connection i m sharing my coonection to my laptop from there i am browsering internet pages but i have some problem with some programs on facebook (applications) like poker zynga and other games i cant load on my laptop they say your firewall blocking the port 9339 but i dont have firewall i think i have to open this port to play but how ?

Same Issue, Port 9339
I'm having the same issue as this with my HTC Desire. I can connect to the Zynga Poker on my laptop and desktop no problem and there is no Firewall in the router blocking this port and yet if I browse to the webpage on my HTC Desire the app starts to load up then displays the error that port 9339 maybe blocked. I have also tried this on other wireless networks and over 3g with the same result. Can this issue be resolved, is the phone itself blocking port 9339 or is Zynga deliberately blocking Android phones?
I am currently an exchange student in Germany and I need some help with figuring out a problem with the internet on my cell phone.
I currently have a prepaid card (Call-ya) from Vodafone and I added on the Live! InternetFlat package about a week ago. On my HTC HD2 I have troubles connecting/using certain programs.
What works:
Internet Explorer (can access any website)
Google Maps
YouTube
Marketplace
Facebook
Downloaded apps from the marketplace
What doesn't work is the standard browser, Opera. From it I can only access sites like google and vodafone, I can't even follow a link from google. There is a vodafone "toolbar" that is on the webpages at the top and bottom. This is strange because it doesn't show on IE and I can goto any site when I use it. I can also not recieve/send emails from the HTC mail application through my gmail or yahoo accounts. I also cannot use Skype. Finally, the integrated Youtube and Facebook (data services...so you can see a contact's status etc.) don't work...but the standalone applications work.
I am mostly confused about the Opera part... however I think that Vodafone prevents me from doing email and using Skype because I don't have the two year contract with internet. Can anyone explain this to me and say what limitations there are to this internetflat?
Hi all,
I need a all in one messenger which can help me login to Skype, Gtalk, Yahoo etc..
I tried using Nimbuzz, but it tells cannot connect to Nimbuzz server. Try after some time. My GPRS is working fine, but still not able to connect
I tried using Fring the same problem there also.
is there any other app. Pls let me know.
Thanks
Ganesh
I had the same issue with nimbuzz. But now it works fine. I like it because it's the best looking messenger app that I tried. What you need to make sure is that you create your nimbuzz profile on their website and link your instant messenger accounts to that profile. By doing so, when logging into nimbuzz mobile you only need to pass one login. Also, I found that on my device, the app is unable to open the network 3g connection on it's own. So I activate data connection before starting nimbuzz so it can be able to connect. Hope this helps
I use http://www.palringo.com/en/gb/ not sure about skype but Yahoo etc works

Hy guys
I have a little question and i hope that you can help me.
I don't understand why if i'm connection with my smartphone to internet with my wifi connection i can only see the mobile version of some sites.. This is for me a problem because:
1 some websites that i see are very different between mobile and standard version and i can't switch from mobile to standard in some cases (only some site allow me these).
2 in Italy some.sites of news about sports and general news request a payment to see the news..but only if i see this notice.from my smartphone.. If i see the normal version i dob't pay.anything...this is a classic incredible Italian story..no comment!!
I remember that with other device if i'm connecting by my wifi i can see a normal web sites...
Some.people can explain and help me?
Thanks in advance!

Sites with mobile versions will usually automatically link you to them if they detect you are on a mobile browser. When you connect to a website they have access to what operating system you're running and what browser. Once it sees you're running a mobile browser, they redirect you.
