Hi all,
I need a all in one messenger which can help me login to Skype, Gtalk, Yahoo etc..
I tried using Nimbuzz, but it tells cannot connect to Nimbuzz server. Try after some time. My GPRS is working fine, but still not able to connect
I tried using Fring the same problem there also.
is there any other app. Pls let me know.
Thanks
Ganesh
I had the same issue with nimbuzz. But now it works fine. I like it because it's the best looking messenger app that I tried. What you need to make sure is that you create your nimbuzz profile on their website and link your instant messenger accounts to that profile. By doing so, when logging into nimbuzz mobile you only need to pass one login. Also, I found that on my device, the app is unable to open the network 3g connection on it's own. So I activate data connection before starting nimbuzz so it can be able to connect. Hope this helps
I use http://www.palringo.com/en/gb/ not sure about skype but Yahoo etc works

Every time I try to login to messenger I get
logon to msn messenger service failed because service is not responding
As a test downloaded Agile messenger and it worked first time
Error happens whether I am using usb, gprs or wifi for web access
Skearon,
I get the same problem when using it via GPRS, although Cable and WiFi is fine...
Can I ask a quick question? Are you using a custom email address? i.e. '[email protected]' as your .NET passport? or are you using an actual @hotmail/msn account?
I am using a custom account, *******@*****.me.uk, and this normally causes problems with the MSN protocol (server side applications) the only other way round it for pocket msn would be to create a hotmail account and use that on ur PPC.
Hope that helps a bit?!
Cheers.

Skearon,
I have had the same problem, but cannot force it to happen.
Use a non hotmail adress on MSN.
But Agile seems to be better. And, I have the impression that Agile recovers better when having been without GPRS signal, like an underground.
MSN mostly did not recover and showed the "tap to sign in" so leaving me who knows how long without being on line.

Yes I also get this. It happens frequently but not always, and I've got a hotmail.com email.

Moandal,
Try Agile..... It (still) is for free. I use it day after day.
Don't change its notification sound however. I have the feeling that that may cause it freezing randomly.

Hi All,
I have downloaded and installed the free version of imov instant message application (Jabber Client) onto my O2 XDA EXEC.
It works gr8 but one problem. When my phone goes into power save mode imov disconnects from the jabber server.
Anyone with any suggestions on what I can do to resolve this ? basically I want imov to be connected to the jabber server all the time !
Many thanks.
I just got myself a second hand MDA on T-Mobile, and I'm on flext web'n'walk price plan. I have a few problems with it and I hope I can get some answers
I got preinstalled pocket MSN that works fine on GPRS. However, I use mostly Yahoo Messanger and ICQ and they would only work at home, where I have the BT Total Broadband (with the wireless hub). Outside the house they would not connect. I use 2 messengers to go online, one is Agile Messenger, and the other is IM+. Both work fine on WiFi as I said, but would not connect via GPRS.
Does anyone here use that phone and the messengers to help me out here? I had the K800i and it worked fine with the Agile Messenger, now I feel lost
PS: The Internet Explorer works fine on it, so it can connect via GPRS, its just none of the messengers that I've got.
Any advice would be apreciated. Thanks.
PS2: Any ideas for other messengers that support Yahoo and ICQ?
oz has instant mess
Dont use OZ, EVER. It dosnt use GPRS to send messages, it uses text messeges and its crazy slow. If you want your instant messengers to work make sure your GPRS connection is already alive and connected before signing in. The messengers wont start a internet connetion but will use the active ones.

Try Parlingo instant messenger.
- Free
- Easy to use
- easy to register
- lesser data usasge
- it remembers your settings even after clear storage\ flash ROM
- download here
I've tried a lot of IMs (fring, IM+, ...) but Parlingo seems to be the best of all of them. If it could support skype it would be even better and there also would be a free line on my today screen too ;-)
A Response of Wisdom
I've found that T-Mobile US blocks the port the Palringo Program uses to connect to its proprietary service, disallowing any sub-connections from initiating (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, all others)

Hi,
the default windows messenger in htc touch really sucks..
Is there a way to install yahoo messenger on my mobile..
pls help..
Thanks
Visit Yahoo! website. They do have a link that provides the download for PPC.
However, I still do have some issues in getting it to connect via my GPRS, as it does not take accept the WiFi connectivity.
Alternately, you can use Webmessenger, which integrates MSN, Y!, AOL, ICQ.
It says trial, but keeps running even after the trial period.
