4G Gone after Rooting - EVO 4G General

I have rooted my phone and done all the fixes I can find, when enabling 4g it just indicates that its "scanning" I ran a few different fixes and cannot seem to find a good method to get 4g back. I did manage to capture this from logcat

Trying to figure this out myself..

I ran back through the Simple Root process and 4G came back for me.

Simple root fails to work for me :-/

Me too. I think mine started happening after full nand rooting. Went back to stock by extracting the rom.zip out of the HTC OTA1 RUU and updating via recovery. just tried to go back to the original non-nand root with no dice either.
Hmmph.

Update..
So, I was able to get mine back by using SimpleRoot to do a full nand unlock (merely rooting it didn't fix it), then flashing my favorite custom rom AND upgrading the radio.
I'm wondering if this means I can't go back to completely stock without breaking 4G (since that may have been what caused it to break in the first place)..
edit: sure enough, running the OTA1 RUU broke my 4G again.
edit 2: and re-unlocking NAND fixed it again

4g comes and goes for me now, reception is quite bad after rooting and NAND unlocking, i will be flashing back to the default ROM and just waiting till this can be resolved.

Simple Root process or pretty much any root process for that matter does little to nothing to affect the radio as you should have the same radio on the phone after rooting as you would have if you flashed stock.
That said, if you think problems showed up after rooting I would recommend flashing a custom ROM. Most have the 4G fix already running which would take care of most problems. If you still have issues after that, flash the radio ROM, but only flash radio if you need it according to your ROM or if your problems do not seem to go away.
But I suspect flashing a custom ROM will help.

can you get it into the RECOVERY MODE?
see wiki for details http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Samsung_Galaxy_S/Vibrant_GT-I9000M
if you can, select the option to wipe out data, and wipe out cache
then reboot
if u flashed another firmware . wipe in recovery doesn't help.
I ' m in the same situation. I need a stock rom to flash so I can try and exchange my phone. I think the version is JG9 but can't seem to find it anywhere for download.

I guess only way it cab be restored is to Flash the Original Firmware.
all suggestion welcome i have 2 days to return the phone.
use Odin, to flash JG8 and make sure to select repartidion
as i have mentioned earlier. Thats what exactly i am doing. Phone still shows that it not able to write anything on /DATA folder.
Any other suggestions.
that's odd...
did you play with the one click lag fix before this happened?
another thing you can try is to get into Recovery Mode, and select the option to wipe cache data, and wipe data
then one those are gone, see if Odin can work
some people also say to run Odin without any ROM file, to make it clear itself, not sure if that helps
Well after some more digging things finally started to clear up a little bit. Check the logs before and suggestion will be appreciated:

This is what happens after doing wipe all in adb session.

Wifi not working on CM 7

I know many people have this problem. But after I installed Swiftdroid 2.0 I was thinking of how smooth this works compared to stock 1.6
Then I ran into a wall. The wifi just refuses to connect. Its just a loop that goes:
Connecting...
(i think it does connect but then)
authenticating...
Disconnected
Scanning.. and start all over.
Now, as I was gathering some information I ran into an app named "wifi fixer" which i didnt have much hope in the app in fixing my problem. But this did help. Im sure now its an Authenticating error (yay for me probably sucking at spelling that)
After the app attempts to fix it just notifies me with "Authenticating error" and tries to fix the wifi by turning it on and off.
Does any one have ANY suggestions i could try? I did google this and go pretty much everywhere. I really would be sad if i would have to give up 2.3.7 because its so damn good. I haven't actually tried to do anything which leads to another problem. BEFORE I flashed CM 7 i did a few tests. One of them was Neocore (app found in market) by Qualcomm (LG has a qualcomm processor)
BUT as i opened the .apk and installed it when i tried to run it:
"Your device does not support qualcomm acelerated graphics" or something quite simillar to that. Before it worked fine. Suggestions? Is this a problem with the app compaitibilty with this krenel or something or is it an actual problem which will cause more trouble with other apps?
ty if you will attempt to help me
did you try it with airplane mode on/off? sometimes that helps
Yep. But no results
I also tried other google cures such as renaming wpa_supplicant.conf to .old

Maybe changing permission of the 'wpa_supplicant.conf' file?
Type in Terminal Emulator (Can be found in the App Drawer):
Code:
su
Then press enter. There will be a Superuser request, press 'Allow'.
Then type in:
Code:
chmod 777 /data/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
Restart your phone and try again.

just pointing out that for me (or at least on my version of cm 7)its /system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
anyway that did not work
Still disconnected after authenticating
