Does anyone know which apn settings I need to have my MMS's work on the 02 network in the UK.
Getting quite annoyed now ive looked about but i always have trouble sending, and ive no idea if i can even recieve them.

t - mobile settings on xda 2

hello i have just got a xda 2 it was locked on on all networks except o2.
since then i managed to unlock the phone to all networks but.....
i need the settings for t-mobile so that i can use wap and the internet.
can somone please tell me the gprs and wap settings for this. Also i am on payasyougo. please help i am new to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Im not sure if T-Mobile's Pay as you go is the same as the one in the states, but if so you cant get on the net with an XDA if it is, unless you switch your pay as you go over to a Sidekick 2 pay as you go plan which will take a daily fee from your balance but you get unlimited access that way, the american fee for this is $1.00 not sure what that is in your curency but i expect that it would be diffrent any way.
but here are the settings i use here in the states
set 3 new GPRS connections and for the accesee name put in these
wap.voicestream.com
internet2.voicestream.com
internet3.voicestream.com
probally it will be tmobile.com instead of voicestream T Mobile bought out voicestream here in the states and they never renaimed ther accsess methods.
if that helps great if not sorry

After weeks of searching different forums and conflicting info, these are the settings that finally worked for me. Mind you I use the $4.99/month T-Zones plan but can acess regular http pages just fine now...

And for those who require AIM: download it from the Brazilian site. Its free and the messenger itself is all english. Be warned- using other than the AIM built-in to T-Zones will minus from you message plan as if they were regular text messages. This is Per Message- not session. thanks very much settings work great on my HTC Universal WM6
These are for TMobile USA.
I have these for TMobile Usa. Enjoy and good luck. I did notice that mms will not always work for these. A network configuration may need to be ran. I also added a text file that will teach you how to increase the mms size.
I guess you guys haven't heard about tmo's new apn there rolling out: epc.tmobile.com enter that in your phone's apn address and you wont need a proxy even with the 5.99 plan
Thanks for all your post, I have the same problem and now it has been sorted!
Levelup what did you do?
can anyone find t-mobile uk internet settings for htc touch hd? Because Im thinking to buy one and it might be locked on orange.
how do i download the aim by text message?

Issue sending and receiving MMS messages

Hey everyone!
Tearing out my hair with this one! No probs with GPRS or browsing the Web, using push email functions etc.
BUT MMS just wont work! Am on O2 and using the following settings found under the MMS Configuration menu:
Server: O2UK
Gateway: 193.113.200.195
Port: 8080
Server Address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Connect Via: My Work Network (the default i use for browsing the web, etc)
Sending Size: 100k
Wap Version: 2.0
Have checked with O2 that MMS is enabled on the sim and it is (have checked with them twice now).
When i go to send a MMS messsage, it says sending but then comes back and says one of 2 things, either:
User Barred
Or
Cannot send message will remain in Outbox
GPRS seems to activate when i hit the send button. I have even tried connecting to the web first. any ideas? going mad!
It won't recieve whatsoever it will just have a text message saying "youve been sent a text message log on to o2.co.uk to view".
My wizard is a O2 XDA Mini - S, Rom is an Imate K-Jam ver 2.16.9.1 WWE dated 2/6/06
Hope you can help!
The normal O2 settings have two connections, one for general browsing(My ISP) and one for wap(My Work Network). MMS uses the 2nd.
sorry Kevino, not sure what you mean?
Under settings->Connections->Connections. O2 adds a connection under each of "My ISP" and "My Work Network".
Sorry I do not have the wap connection detail as I deleted it. Try a search for "O2 GPRS settings" and when you find a list you will see what I mean.
These are the only settings i can find, do you mean that MMS should be sent by dialup connection kevino?

I think i may have found the problem guys! I'll keep you updated.....
I kept getting a message saying "Error - User Barred" everytime i was sending MMS. Found a site where a few guys had the same problem and found out the solution.
Basically have to call O2 and ask them to confirm with their Data Services team that MMS is enabled on all their systems as opposed to just the primary system. Replication seems to be an issue they suffer from.
Original article: http://www.esato.com/archive/t.php/t-50035
Will keep you posted they have had to replicate it manually and it may take up to Friday!
Wish me luck
Well I hope that's your problem. But look at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=50477&highlight=o2+gprs+settings
to see what I was trying to explain. Ah just noticed it appears different for payg (you do not say what you have)

Unlocked M600 cannot get MMS

I have unlocked my M600 thanks to the great instructions on the site and am now using my Vodafone sim. However, all GPRS settings on the phone are still set to orange as are the MMS settings. I have tried changing them all manually (very longwinded) and can manage to get internet access using GPRS but I cannot get MMS to work! Can anyone shed any light on this for me please.
Regards
Lynette

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I still can't get MMS to work. I think the problem is that I don't know how to create the mms server. On the MMS settings it has the OrangeMMS server and if I go to the details of that it says connect via OrangeMMS but I can't find the settings for that anywhere. On my friends vodafone it says connect via default server.

O2 MMS settings for HTC Kaiser (TyTn II)

Any one out there know how to configure MMS for O2 on WM6?
I asked O2 for help and they said my phone was not compatible. I find that hard to believe as it's just a variant on XDA. I have seen several settings muted on various sites but it’s hard to piece it all together on WM6. Any help from some one who’s got it working would be well received
Neil
click on start > messages click on options, a new screen opens click on mms then click the server tab at the bottom. Click new and add the mms settings below, not sure if these are the same for all countries, but these are the uk settings. Once you have created the server press and hold the stylus on it ,in the server list window and click set as default and then delete the old one if there is one there.
Access point name: wap.o2.co.uk (contract customers) or payandgo.o2.co.uk (pay-as-you-go customers)
Username: o2wap (contract customers) or payandgo (pay-as-you-go customers)
Password: password
Authentication: Normal
Data bearer: GPRS
Gateway IP (proxy) address: 193.113.200.195
Session mode: Permanent
URL address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Thanks
Thanks,
I think those are the settings that I have. There is a slight complexity in that I can't enter all this under MMS settings. For some reason on my HTC there is an extra level of indirection.
So under MMS settings-> servers
I can enter
Gateway IP (proxy) address: 193.113.200.195
URL address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
I am also invited to enter a port number (for the gateway I think) that defaults to 8080
A Wap Version that defaults to wap 2.0
and "connect Via" which is a drop down.
In this drop down I choose "O2 active".
when I go hunting I can find ... hold your breath.....
start->settings->connections->connections->advanced->select networks
Then in the "programs that automatically connect to the network" drop down I find "o2 active"... and eventually under here I find the settings
Access point name: wap.o2.co.uk
Username: o2wap
Password: password
Data bearer: GPRS
So it sort of hangs together
But alas when I send an MMS it connects to o2 active.... tries 3 times to send then gives up
If you have any ideas i would love to hear them
Neil
Got it sorted
On my second attempt at calling O2 they realised that they had not provisioned my account for MMS. If you have similiar problems make sure you are very insistent with O2. If they get hung up about sending you the settings over the air make it clear that you are happy to set it up manualy.
The setting in the previuos reply work well
These settings also work fine on my TyTN II: If anyone else has problems, remember to always select 'use server-assigned IP address' in the advanced settings, and to set your GPRS to PAP authentication! CHAP doesnt work!
