Hello to everyone!
I have problem about my Tytn (Hermes 200) that a connector (for a screen flex cable) on my motherboard is damaged. Is it possible to fix it -for example to change that connector with a new one (because I have another Tytn with usb port broken but that connector is ok)? Does anyone know how to do so? I really need help...

thanks, I checked their site, but they don't have actually motherboards for sale that are in stock.
so, I am really interested in changing the connectors, just I don't know how do so?

Probably the easyer would be to change a USB port than this connector
But in all cases you need HA (Hot-Air)
well, do you have some suggestions how to change a USB port?

I have been able to get parts ie: motherboards/flex cables from Ebay from phones that have broken screens. There is a possibility you may find the flex cable and motherboard there too. Hope this helps

In taht case there are not another option than go to service...
If you don`t have an Iron or HA (HotAir) you can`t do it.

I'm looking for USB in extension port or somewhere else on the mainboard becouse it's been dameged under the sync/charge port and I need to rewire USB from somewhere else. Also does anybody know why joystick don't work ? mechanicly it's perfect so I have no idea.

Hallo, I have the same Problem. I have only few soldering pads of connector after the connector is cracked out. But if you kann see, evtl. under microscope, there are little holes, which connects to the pads, if the pads are OK. I measured some pads and found the following points . See pictures..
I has not tested the functionality yet! because i have no connector yet -->Caution! If you or somebody could still check the Pins again, would be great! Because I have no second Board and I cannot be sure with 100%.

hi men... you can solder this mini USB BUT on this board must exist tin connection...
i did to therse two days ago and mi MDA is ready...
but you can´t use a normal inducated melting-iron... you must have a pointed melting-iron...

Hi, I'm here to asking you if do you think it's possible to change the mini usb port oh the Hermes.
Yesterday the rubber between pins on usb port come out with the headset and I noticed a pin was broken. Now The phone charge and sync with pc but the headset not work more.
My Hermes is out of warranty... what do you think to do?

I have had good luck finding parts for my phone on Ebay. As for what I think you should do, it depends on your comfort level for repairing your phone yourself.
I would take it apart & fix it, but I'm good at that sort of thing.
With a lot of fortune i was able to pick up the pin and make in place the rubber previously come out. My USB port come back work!

Huh? It really is just a mini-USB connector, I have no problem using it with any of my mini-USB cables...

No, unfortunately it is not. You can fit in a standard cable, but the connector is not standard.

So what exactly do you want to exchange? The female connector (the part "inside" the phone??? What for???
Cable is standard mini USB, right.

I need to replace the one on the motherboard inside te phone.
Does anybody know where I can get a replacement internal antenna cable ? I replaced my digitizer and put it simple pulled the cable and it came off the plug Any help would be appreciated want this phone back in service
