Eris lost data connection - Droid Eris Android Development

My Eirs periodically looses its data connect, when i look in the settings it under Wireless & Networks it say turning on under mobile network and just stays that way. I try resetting but still no data connection.
Anyone else have this issue i am running sense-able 3.1
Thanks

Try a hard reset. Did this start after you flashed? Did you do a full wipe before you flashed?

You mean pull the battery....yes I always do a full wipe when installing a new rom.
It seems to happen after I am using the rom for awhile.
Strange.

Anyone having Wifi issues since update?

Installed the OTA update and re-applied unRevoked root. I can't maintain a wireless connection for long. I initially thought it was my router and rebooting the router actually does temporarily fix the problem but it happens again. How do I know it is not the router? My other wireless devices are working! I disable wifi on my phone and reconnect but still have no service. Rebooting the router is the only temporary fix. Gah.
I would say it may be the Rom over the OTA. That is of you're running a custom Rom or anything that's not stock. Are you running the latest radio? The .09.10,check to make sure. If your other devices are working without dropping then that eliminated the router for the equation. If you want to make sure then try connecting to any open WiFi connection to see if you have the same issue. If you do then u know for sure it's not your router.
I would try doing a nandroid first then wipe cache and davlik and flash your Rom again. Do not do a factory reset. Once you boot up just test the WiFi again b4 doing anything. If it works then just restore your apps if needed via Titanium backup.
If u have the same issue then at that point u can do a nandroid restore.
Multiple option,am confident one of them will work, good luck.

i had the same issue running fresh 3.3.0 .. and what i saw that my phone wasnt connecting at all but my laptop and my sisters top were all connecting. So i went into the wireless router ip address .. whatever yours may be. re-entered my password and WALA.. it started connecting to my phone again.. it was strange but thats what worked for me

I have not had any issues with GPS not working on FR008. Did you do a full Wipe Data, Wipe Cache and Wipe Dalvik cache before you flashed?
I wiped the cache, but not a wipe disk.
Turns out the GPS *DOES* work, it just takes much longer to get a connection now. Which is odd :S

That's how it's supposed to work in a standalone mode. Enable Network Localization if you want faster lock and check with GPS Status app that your phone is acquiring AGPS data.
My phone is still really bad at GPS. It was fine on the stock 2.1 but after updating to Fr008 it sucks. Takes so long to get a connection that I don't even bother with the GPS anymore.
What can i do to fix this?
you can update radio firmware.
In one of my updates of my customized version of FR008, I ended up rendering WiFi unusable. I could tap the WiFi button in settings or on the Android power control to my hearts content but I kept getting an error. The only way to resolve it was to wipe the system, wipe the caches and then install my customized FR008.
Changing the radio I don't believe will work to solve this because I believe the problem was not with the radio itself, but with one of the data files already on the internal memory getting corrupted after flashing the ROM. That said, take great care in flashing the updated radio. Ensure your battery is fully charged before trying it, because a failed flash of the radio could permanently brick the phone.

com.google.process.gapps error on boot need help

So only on boot on a freshly clean install of PSX 8.1 (happens on every rom and clean or dirty flash) I am presented with the lovely error com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. It never happens when Ihave my phone set to wifi on the boot it only happens if it uses my Tmobile data connection on boot. It does not happen every-time either on the Tmobile data boot. Only after a reboot or a few reboots. It is completely random. Sometimes it happens on the first boot of the data if i dont have wifi enabled. So with all this testing it definently has to do with data since the wifi connection to my Fios router never has an issue. I have also tried using Tmobile HSDPA and LTE and it still happens on both. It NEVER happens on WIFI. I have tried turning off all syncing and uninstalling google based apps one by one. Any ideas what is causing this and how i can fix it?
Install xpose and use the patch from the modules

Does "freshly" also include a /data wipe?
Yes sir. Complete wipe. I have even tried going back to stock and starting completely over to the new rom. I have tried it all.

APN issues?

I'm currently having issues where it seems that my APN settings aren't sticking. My cellular service & data work fine until I go into an area where I lose service & then when I reenter the service area my data won't switch back on. & sometimes it seems to lose data for absolutely no reason. But if I go into *#*#data#*#* & restore default APN settings & reboot my data works again. I'm on sprints network, using screwd rom, latest milestone build, the latest bootloader, & the latest radio. I've tried update prl. Ive tried update device configuration & when i update device configuration after it finishes I lose both data & cellular service until I reboot. I've tried performing "hands free activation" which also causes me to lose cellular service until after I reboot again. I've clean flashing rom & gapps, even tho I don't think its rom related. Reflashing the latest radio IMG. My next step is restoring the device to a google stock factory img & then starting all over. Anyone who has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate the help.
Upon further research it appears to be a bug in googles code affecting aosp ROMs. Doesn't affect all aosp ROMs tho. No known fix yet

S4 i337m ; requires wipe of wireless settings each boot to reclaim H+ data lock

I have been asking around and nobody seems to know why the i337m won't work with any of the latest builds in regards to requireing wipe of wireless settings each boot to reclaim H+ data lock! This is very annoying to put all my bluetooth pairings wireless passwords and wiping protocol each boot. When the battery dies I lose my mms's ... Otherwise the phone is good ... Maybe there is an app or patch someone could point me to to automatically wipe just the modem whatever files that are reset with this protocol that makes it work again. Everytime it works again and everytime I lose my data lock .... GRRrr lol
