Outlook sync after flashing N1 Froyo ROMs - Desire Themes and Apps

Just rooted and flashed my HTC Desire to the MCR ROM. Correct me if I'm wrong, but all existing Desire Froyo ROMs are ports of N1 ROMs? So now HTC Sync cannot detect my phone when connected, and I can't sync outlook from my desktop to the phone. Which is troubling me!
Is there any way to work around this issue?

No. Sense <=> HTC Sync. No Sense, no sync.

You can still sync outlook with google mail & calendar, just do a google for "Google Calendar Sync" and "GO Contact Sync"

Google sync doesn't work with Win7 x64, only 32 bit apps.

Activesync for HTC Hero

anyone knows if it's possible to have active sync installed in HTC hero? Our OS at work is windows 2000 which HTC sync doesn't support.
I just want to sync my outlook calendar with my phone. Syncing outlook to gmail also doesn't work since our outlook version is 2000 which not supported by google calendar sync.
Sorry, it's not possible.

As far as I understand HTC sync enables you to sync with Outlook.
HTC sync is available from the HTC hompage.

[Q] HTC Sync software with HD2 running Android?

Hello,
Has anyone been able to use HTC Sync software with HD2 running Android?
I have 3.0.5422 of HTC Sync and up to date Energy Rom + Darkstone Froyo V2.
I'd like to use it to sync my work outlook emails and have Google App Inventor recognise the phone.
Eric
Yup, same here... Especially since I can't get Exchange Active Sync to work...

check here..
so far only mattc rom is working with htc sync
if anyone finds other rom...pls update in the other thread
I am looking for the same I get my email and calendar I guess because my base is one of my gmail accounts so I get my email and calendar just not my contacts. Have to load them.
My htc sync saw my phone and connects but my phone doesn't notice the computer so it doesn't connect.

Sync app?

Is there finally an app/program that will sync t-mo HD2 running Android? I need to sync contacts, calendar(recurring) and mainly notes. Tried HTC Sync but drivers wouldnt install. Companionlink didnt work well either. Any sugestions?
Thx
best solution is HTC Sync, but youll need Sense on your android phone! Why cant you install it - any error message?
Another option is to Sync to your google Account and then from GMail to Outlook (or so)
You can also try "MyPhoneExplorer"!
Thx 4 reply.
HTC Sync didnt communicate w/ Android HD2, no error msgs. Tried on Xp and W7 PC. However HTC Sync and Google Sync still dont sync notes.
Only option I see is to wait for developers of Android Sync to perfect it.
Android has been around for a long time now and I dont understand why there isnt ActiveSync (WMDC) replacement for androids. Am I the only one who needs to sync contacts w/categories, recurring calendar and notes?
What do you mean by "dint communicate"? Do you have Sense on your build?

try version 3.0.5422 of HTC sync.
I'm using it without any issues (using same android). just make sure you restart your PC/laptop after installing.
p.s.
there is an updated version which didn't work for me. maybe you have this v?
head to HTC main site and download their HTC Sync software and install it on your PC
Exporteople-menu-Import/Exprot-Export to SD card
Importeople-menu-Import/Exprot-Import from SD card

[Q] AOSP ROM and Outlook Sync

my company uses outlook at work and I would like to sync my calendar and work contacts to my phone similar to how HTCSYnc works. Is there an option for this in CM7 or any other AOSP ROM? Thanks.
It's not as good as HTC Sync, but MyPhoneExplorer will do it.

I have the same situation which is why I stick with a Sense based rom. HTC phone owners are lucky to have a phone that provides software to do this. Most the other manufacturers don't give squat to sync directly with Outlook. Even the newer Palm phones don't.
