Hello,
Has anyone been able to use HTC Sync software with HD2 running Android?
I have 3.0.5422 of HTC Sync and up to date Energy Rom + Darkstone Froyo V2.
I'd like to use it to sync my work outlook emails and have Google App Inventor recognise the phone.

Yup, same here... Especially since I can't get Exchange Active Sync to work...

I am looking for the same I get my email and calendar I guess because my base is one of my gmail accounts so I get my email and calendar just not my contacts. Have to load them.
My htc sync saw my phone and connects but my phone doesn't notice the computer so it doesn't connect.

Just got a HTC Magic TIM mobile unlocked. Was trying to install the HTC Sync to sync with Outlook. I've installed the HTC Sync software from HTC's website (with virus scan disabled) and the update driver too. When I connect the phone and I set it to sync, it has trouble trying trying to connect to the PC. HTC Sync still says it is disconnected.
Was wondering how to get HTC sync to work?
Also, I have Outlook installed and did not configure it yet (from the installation). Do I need to have that configured first?

plz help how to use htc sync with htc branded unlocked magic phone?
thanks
My phone is also HTC Magic TIM.
HTC sync works fine when I was using MYHero ROM.
When I changed to another modified ROM, it didn't work.
I have to export my contacts from outlook to a csv, then upload to Gmail....
Same problem, couldn't get the HTC Sync (old or new version) to work with anything...to fix my sync issues (contacts, calendar) is use Google Calendar Sync. This "two-way" sync works flawlessly for me me betweem HTC Magic, Outlook and Google Calender.
I also bought HTC Magic TIM in Shanghai
same problem with you guys,,
I installed "HTCDriverUpdate_WinXP" (the size is 444kb), still HTC Sync didn't work.. But after I installed PC Suite for Android 1.1.0.65, It worked, and I can sync my contact address now from outlook..

I wondered whether there is an Android build that supports Exchange ActiveSync with Windows Live? I have tried a lot of builds but none worked with my Windows Live account.
Look through my topics. I posted bout this very thing a while back with an apk included that works for me and my hotmail account... with instructions.

Try Improved Email app
I'm on FroyoStone Sense 3.1 with Chucky Droid Rom and I could never get my Hotmail activesync account working. Then I tried Improved Email app from the market (free) and what do you know it worked straight away! Syncs contacts and calendar too, plus it's a better email client than the standard HTC one.
Is there finally an app/program that will sync t-mo HD2 running Android? I need to sync contacts, calendar(recurring) and mainly notes. Tried HTC Sync but drivers wouldnt install. Companionlink didnt work well either. Any sugestions?
Thx
best solution is HTC Sync, but youll need Sense on your android phone! Why cant you install it - any error message?
Another option is to Sync to your google Account and then from GMail to Outlook (or so)
You can also try "MyPhoneExplorer"!
Thx 4 reply.
HTC Sync didnt communicate w/ Android HD2, no error msgs. Tried on Xp and W7 PC. However HTC Sync and Google Sync still dont sync notes.
Only option I see is to wait for developers of Android Sync to perfect it.
Android has been around for a long time now and I dont understand why there isnt ActiveSync (WMDC) replacement for androids. Am I the only one who needs to sync contacts w/categories, recurring calendar and notes?
What do you mean by "dint communicate"? Do you have Sense on your build?
Hello,
i have installed:
[BUILD][04.12.10]-=MDJ FroYo HD v.4.3=-[kernel:MDJ S7.5HD]
on my HTC HD2
and downloaded HTC Sync from htc.com
start HTC Sync an put usb cable into htc hd2 and choose htc sync
but the htc sync app on my pc cant find the phone
i want to sync my outlook contacts with my phone
how can i do that or what do i wrong ?

I do it a different way. I sync my Outlook calendar, contacts, tasks etc with my Gmail account and then sync that with my phone.
I use Google's sync tool to do it.
i dont want sync with google any other possibility?

try version 3.0.5422 of HTC sync.
I'm using it without any issues (using same android). just make sure you restart your PC/laptop after installing.
p.s.
there is an updated version which didn't work for me. maybe you have this v?
head to HTC main site and download their HTC Sync software and install it on your PC

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about installing the latest version of HyperDroid on my HTC HD2
But there is one thing that I'm worried about.
Is there a way to get the Sync with Outllok working?
I need the Sync with my Contacts and Calendar. Currently I'm running HTC Sync, but it works only withe Sense, doesn't it?
I hope you can help me.
With kind regards
Aod
Is here no one who is using HyperDroid and can tell me if there is a way to sync with Microsoft Outlook?
The best way import and upload the personal datas from outlook to google account(contacts, calender, mail etc), it will be sync back, when u login using phone. Htc sync wont support non-sense roms.

it is easy brother.simply go to accout sync. in corporate add one hot mail id. secondly sync your hot mail with outlook.thats it.
