Yeah, unlocked how? Sim card unlock? Try to be more specific with your posts and preferably provide steps to do what you did so that it makes the post more usuable for other members reading it.
yeah, network unlock simply.
turn off phone-press back-hold then insert cable
press unlock-wait-done. unlocked in 5 seconds.

So I just tried this to humor it and see if it works.
I turned off the phone, press and held the back button while I plugged in the USB. Green light shows up.
I assumed by 'unlock' you meant the center button on the keyboard, phone eventually rebooted but I see no change. I don't have another company's sim card to try, but guess I'll find one and try it.
Not confirmed working as of yet
download this soft, with the account then you can unlock it easily.
1) take battery out
2) put it back in phone
3) leave phone turned off
4) press back button and hold it ,
5) and insert cable
6) phone will go in flash mode
7) software will detect phone and start procedure
Can anyone confirm this works?
I already have a simfree handset so cannot test.

Bah, and this couldn't have been the first post.....I ran around looking for a sim card to verify and it requires software.....silly. Anyhow, I'll try it when I get home.
What username and password??
The tool doesn't work, when I pressed unlock, it returned "bad username/password"

My guess is unlocking.com since they posted in another thread that they were going to be doing this for people. I've not confirmed either way though
guys no one had gotten this to work. Check out this forum.

but you should buy pass for the soft
then unlock
How much for the activation? Or for account?

I am using the PCarvalho eXtreme ROM on my phone. Everything was working fine until I entered the wrong PIN and PUK too many times. My SIM card was turned inactive. I went into the store and got a new SIM card and had the contacts transferred to the new card.
Once I put the new card into the phone, I tried the PIN and hit Unlock. The phone does NOTHING. It just sits there like I did not hit the unlock button. Then I hit the button again and again and see that the screen has registered the touch and the button press, but nothing happens. I do not get a message that the PIN is invalid and the Phone does not unlock.
So what can I do? If I attach the phone to the PC it tells me to unlock, which I cannot do for some reason. Is there a way to restore the phone to default ROM or to reload a ROM once if the phone is locked and will not accept an unlock code?
try another phone? i doubt it is rom related.
unfortunately I do not have another phone that could be used. Is there anyway to restore the old phone to make it work? The blackberry I have from work is sim locked to a different provider
Did you hard reset the phone? Try that if you have data backed up. You can also try flashing the original WM 6.1 and see if that works and then go back to pcarvalho's ROM again.
If by hard reset you mean taking out battery or pressing the button on the bottom, I have done both of those. If that is not hard reset, what do you need to do to execute a hard reset?

What you have done is called Soft Reset or commonly SR.
What you need to do (WARNING: you will loose all your contacts/pics/music/etc. in the phone memory) is take out your MicroSD card (just in case ) and while pushing GPS and Internet Explorer Buttons SIMULTANEOUSLY with one hand take the stylus and push reset with the other. Then continue holding the two buttons mentioned above until you see a gray screen that says: Push Send to Hard Reset the Phone. Push Send button then (you now can release those GPS and IE buttons ) and you've got a clean system.
Oh that sucks if I lose the contacts. hmmm well worth a shot to see if any are backed up on sim

If the phone is somehow still recognized by a PC, you can try syncing your data beforehand.
I would love to DesertsStorm but the phone will not allow for sync if it is locked. We shall see.
So, I can no longer even get to the download screen on my Fascinate.
It won't connect to Odin, or even (long shot, I know) to Kies. I've tried the "remove sd, sim and battery, plug in, hold volume buttons and reinsert battery" technique. All that happens is I get a little "device not connected to PC" icon (there is no text, just a pic of a device, an error triangle, and a PC).
When I try to connect to the PC without powering on (to charge the battery), the loading spinner comes up and the device freezes.
Any ideas? I think I might be screwed, here...

Phone should still be under warranty, as long as you're the original owner on the original account. Take that ***** back.
It would be useful to know exactly what action you think killed it.
The error you describe sounds exactly like you tried to boot after an incomplete or incorrect Odin.
Actually killing download mode for real is extremely rare, so it would be helpful to know how you did it.
Battery is totally optional for download mode.
1. Pull battery (to be sure phone is off). Leave the sd card alone.
2. Plug into pc, while holding down vol - (do not let go ever unless you see a yellow triangle)
3. If nothing happens, press power until you see any screen activity.
Just posting in case it is helpful, chances are download mode got your device to where it is now.
Swyped w/ XDA App. When in doubt, mumble.

Absolutely nothing happened. Phone was off, battery pulled. Left the sim out, didn't touch the SD card. Plugged it in while holding vol - (then repeated this with vol +, vol + and -), tried the power button - absolutely no screen activity. It appears I done killed it but good. D:
Thanks for trying though.

Then once you do above and get the screen working again, you can do what i did and use attached program to remap one of the other buttons (i chose green phone button since i press the phone icon to use the phone anyhow) and remap it to function as the power button and never worry about the screen again
To install: download to computer, then use adb install to install.
Or the simple way, just download straight to phone, navigate to the downloaded folder using a file explorer(astro works well found on the market) and launch it through the file explorer to install.

Yep, I have tried that.... pushing the end button a zillion times. It use to work before, but now it doesnt. I tried the end button, the call button, sliding over the other keys, just tapping on the unlock keys on the screen... but nothing. i do it so much, i pretty much start banging on the keys.....ummm... not sure if that made it worse??
is there anyway i can just reset my phone.... perhaps flash a new rom. I really dont care what is on my phone at this point. phone numbers not saved on sim can be replaced.... i dont care about anything else as far as apps. i just want to be able to use this phone again, whatever it takes. not sure if this is even possible without unlocking the screen first. i am so frustrated i wanna let my rottweiler accidently chew it up, just so i can get a new phone...

Nope. Its pretty much hosed. These are classic symptoms of the digitizer cable losing connection with the main board. Pressing the red End key forcefully can sometimes mate the connection back, but otherwise if that doesn't work nothing will. If you're feeling brave, you can take apart the phone piece by piece and reassemble it. That might do the trick. Else, you have to replace the digitizer.
Ok... first of all, what is a digitizer?
Also, is there any way I can connect it to my computer via usb and try to remove the files that i put on there for the rom.... that would just make it a windows phone again. Because Im confused.... is this a phone malfunction or a file issue?

Can you get to the bootloader (stripey screen)? If so, then just flash a stock WinMo ROM from there and it should work.
Well I am able to restart the phone after I take the battery out. So there is a point at the startup while its loading, it says 1-2-3-4 Go Go Go. Not sure if there is anything I can from there.
Oh btw... for a brief few minutes yesterday, the phone did unlock. I got so excited that I started reading all my text messages I missed over the passed 2 weeks and also reviewing missed phone calls. And by that time, the phone locked again. No luck since.

Ok, I can try that. But I am still waiting to get this phone screen to unlock. I guess I cant do anything until then.
Hello,
I have a problem with my OPT. The "Volume UP" button stuck in pressed position.
Because of the battery the phone went off but after charging it want start again.
I guess because of the pressed Volume UP + Power nothing happens.
After more than one week of fighting with the support (the issue was always escalated to the next level, remote session, bla bla bla.. but nothing happened) the problem finally was redirected to the "RRR" repair and return... and now I thing that at some point I will have a chance to send this brick back.
However, Is there a way to get my data out of it before I send the phone back?
If it would be out of warranty I would just unscrew the plastic battery cover and push the button back...
Best
dim
No Ideas?
I don't need a step by step how to.
just, is it possible? and if so, give me some buzz words (toolkits, what to check and so on)
For example If I plug it in my PC I see in the device manager QHSUSB_BULK as unknown device (good sign) but for now it refuses to install the driver from https://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html
There is a sign of live.
when I let the phone rest for several hours and then press power, there is a short vibrating response and I the screen shows for less than a second the fastboot logo. Then the screen gets dark.
To repeat this I need to wait several hours.
any help appreciated
I think this is a hardware issue, send it to repair

Thanks for the answer,
and yes, it is a hardware problem. The question was more like: is there a way to start or backup/reset the phone from this state.
Like I said, the phone is recognised by the mac and PC (showing up as QHSUSB_BULK)
Theoretically with pressed Vol UP button it should start in to fastboot mode.
I managed to install the driver on the PC but the phone is not recognised by fastboot
same on mac.
So if some one has an Idea how to get to the data in this phone please help

I don't think you can back up from that stage. As it is a button related issue, I don't think OnePlus will erase any data on the device. Contact OnePlus and ask them if they can make a back up. Submit a ticket on the OnePlus support page.

Oh damn. Anyway, new OPT
"Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly." (Red)
I was on a phone call when my phone crashed and then displayed the following message:
"Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly."
There was a URL which directed me to the following site for further information:
https://support.google.com/nexus/an...6399943843044-1589582643&p=verified_boot&rd=1
Has anyone else experienced this?
I also got that message when I first got device. Set up my Google account and then let it sit and charge. Looked 30 mins later that message appeared. It was also followed up by another screen talking about unsecure boot or something and powered it self off. It said can not boot when I tried to restart phone and I tried again and no response from the phone at all.waited 5 mins and it booted fine and never seen the messages again .
that screen appears when the bootloader is unlocked. did you guys unlock your bootloader? or, did you purchase from T-Mo/someone else?

that's not bootloader/fastboot mode.... that's the Factory Reset/Recovery mode. i enter bootloader/fastboot mode using ADB commands (from windows command prompt) while the phone is connected to my laptop. steps to enter fastboot mode:
1. power off device - make sure your phone is not connected to laptop via USB cable
2. hold the Volume Down Key for a few seconds
3. while holiding Volume Down Key connect the Micro USB cable to your device.
4. release Volume Down key as soon as phone goes into Fastboot Mode (screen similar to my post above)
What does your screen say in fastboot mode? to get out of fastboot mode, unplug the USB cable from laptop, hold volume down + power key until blank screen, release all buttons and phone will proceed with boot process.

It doesn't seem to effect the function of the phone. So perhaps it is just a bug. Doing a little bit of light research, some other people have had issues with this popping up even with stock on Nexus.
I have until the 17th to exchange/return.

true, but i'd at least make T-Mo aware of the issue. personally, i'd ask for a replacement.
BTW, did anyone get a second screen saying contact customer support (some kind of language like that)? It is very similar to the red error screen, but it read like the device was basically bricked. It disappeared after a while and the phone turned off while I was trying to get a picture.

I did, that is how I got the return date. They notated my account massively and it looks like it'll be a root canal to a exchange.
I'm not sure that it's anything more than a bug... it hasn't stopped the phone from working and possibly may be an oversensitive security measure on Android's part. So far it seems only related to Nexus(?) that I could find... I am only posting here so others can inform themselves. Maybe others with similar errors who have owned a Nexus could enlighten us.
Either case, doing a factory reset in a little bit. I also received the latest update and applied it. So maybe that'll help too...

I was on a phone call when my phone crashed and then displayed the following message:
"Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly."
There was a URL which directed me to the following site for further information:
Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes I have had this happen 2 different times and 4 days apart on my AT&T LG G6, U.S. Variant. NO I don't unlock my devices ever. And I only install well known apps from the Play store. One possible pattern I noticed was that both times it happened relatively soon after turning OFF the always on display. Then when I rebooted the AOD was turned back on by itself. No other settings appear to be changed and my Nova launcher is running normal.
Did you happen to turn off your AOD as well?
