I have just discovered that when you dial 611 and it opens the "My Account" app with the US T-Mobile 2.13 rom update that it will disable your speakerphone until you reboot the handset. Now if you call directly T-Mobile via the 1-800-866-2453 number, it doesn't activate the "My Account" app and hence the speakerphone is not affected. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I've had the phone for 3 months now and it just started happening on my HD2 right now. I was freaking out thinking I was going to have to hard reset just for my speakerphone not working! (I use it a lot) For users that have a slightly different setup go to the "T-Mobile Help" App, like the above poster said, and the difference is when you go to "Tips & Tricks," you'll see "Top Tips." Click that & then click "Call Care Assist." Then you can disable it from there.
So, in short:
T-Mobile Help > Tips & Tricks > Top Tips > Call Care Assist > Disable.
But thanks to shehrammajid for his super helpful post!
& to tomparrish for addressing it in the fist place!

Go to Settings tab, Menu, All Settings, Personal, Phone GSM/UMTS Services tab and select Caller ID and click "Get Settings..."
Set that to something appropriate (either everyone or only contacts in this case) and click OK.
Thankyou John, problem solved
You're welcome matey
My brother in law is having all kinds of issues with his intercept. Here are the 2 most annoying for him and I don't have an answer but I am hoping somebody else does. The froyo 2.2 brought bluetooth voice dialing to android. It works fine on my evo but he cannot get it to work on the intercept. Does anybody else have this working? I read on another forum that you need to go to the settings and go down to search options and enable it there. There is no google search in his settings. Also there is no option for speed dial. Any help there?
One last thing. After the froyo update did anybody else lose the ability to link contacts with facebook? Before the update you had to create a contact on the phone and then you could link that with your gmail contact and the facebook contact. Now there is no option to create one on the phone.

I am not sure about most of your concerns, but I can perhaps recommend something for your speed dialing issue.
In the Android Market, there is an app called Speed Dial Old School by Maplekey Company. It will allow you to set up Speed Dialing your way, setting number choices from 2-99 and by dialing the select number, it will automatically dial that contact.
Everytime I get a call the phone says the name of the person calling like a talking caller id. Even when I get a text message same thing. I may be dumb but I can't find where to turn this feauture off. Anyone can point me in the right direction on how to turn this off thank you.
Maybe Settings - Accessibility - TalkBack ?

I just activated a Droid Incredible. When I get a voicemail,I get a notification on the front of the phone, telling me to dial "*86#xxxx#"
The xxxx is my voicemail passcode for when I retrieve my messages.I have it programmed into the provider's voicemail system. When I long press "1" it retrieves my mail.
I need a notification on the phone when I have a voicemail, but to have my passcode in full view is not cool. How can I change that?
Have you tried Google voice? Its better integrated with our smart phones than the carrier's option, though I understand everyone has their preferences.
That's one solution!

Does that change the display only? Because what I have in there is what I want to dial when I hold down the "1" key.
I also don't want to have to listen for prompts and key in my code everytime I check for voicemails.
I'm pretty sure there's an option once you're in your voicemail to change whether or not you have to put your code in each time you check it from your phone. just listen to all the prompts and go through the options.

That is what I do now,it works fine.
But when someone leaves a voicemail,I get a notice on the display telling me of the time of call and to "dial *86p????#"
If I have my phone put down somewhere anyone can happen by and see my passcode.I am trying prevent my passcode from being displayed.Maybe I am missing something?
I am running froyo and the stock ROM.

Ah i see i misunderstood what you were trying to accomplish. I dont know of any way to make the notification not show your password. It is going to show what ever is programed in the voicemail settings.

There is no way around this. i use the same thing so i dont have to type my password in. you would have to use Google voice to get around it.
Every text I get on the stock app ends with a callback number in parentheses. I want it gone. The only option I have is to disable it on outgoing texts.
Anyone else have this issue?
No one else has this issue at all?

I was wondering if maybe it was a carrier issue. I use Cellcom, which is a local carrier in Wisconsin. I might actually try giving them a call.
Update: This is a known carrier issue
