FAQ
Q Why a special Q&T Thread for a specific ROM??
A The bigger a ROM development thread gets, the greater the chance that posts are being placed in this thread that are not related to the ROM development itself, e.g. problems with flashing, installation, bugs, things not working etc. However this is understandable, it's not according to the guidelines of XDA for Development sections. Therefore the main goals of the ROM specific Q&T threads is to avoid this cluttering of the original develpment thread with these OT posts by redirecting the posters to the ROM specific Q&T thread and also to relieve the developer from answering these post, so he can dedicate his time to developing.
Q How to move my post to the Q&A/T thread?
A Copy the text of your post in the dev's thread, got to the Q&A/T thread and paste it there. After having done that, go back to the dev's thread, edit your post and change the text into: moved to Q&A/T thread, preferably accompanied with a link to this thread.
Q When I'm asked to move my post to the Q#A/T thread, do I have to do that?
A When you're asked to move your post, there will always be given an explanation by the OP of the Q&A/T, e.g. your post is not development related (f.i. SD card problems, etc), so please be so kind to move your post. If you want to help the dev to keep his original thread as clean as possible from OT posts, then the answer is, of course, YES. Although we cannot force you to move your post, it's highly recommended to do so
Q Where can I download this ROM and How do I install?
A You can find the link to download and installation instructions HERE. Pay close attention to this post, everything required for a successful flash is listed right here. If you fail to follow the instructions or meet the requirements for installation, you could run into some problems.
Q What are the known issues with these ROM's?
A See the Developer's thread:VILLEC2 U ICS
Q How’s battery life?
A see this question asked repeatedly across all ROMS. Honestly there is no way to give you an answer based on a ROM. There are too many variables in question and results vary from user to user and device to device. Battery life is going to depend on age and condition of your battery, your use habits with your device, installed apps, tweaks, settings, etc...
Q How do I...
A Ask your questions and report your issues in this thread. You will receive a response and hopefully get you back up and running this ROM to it's fullest
Explaining the purpose of our Q&A/T threads for specific ROM's to posters.
"Hi dear followers of this ROM,
in this post I will explain the goal of this specific thread created for this ROM with the permission of the Developer of this specific ROM.
This is a statement made in the Q&A/T template thread:
"While our forum has slowly been morphing, the one area we would like to keep original is Development
The goal is to alleviate the OT banter that occurs within any rom. While the XDA forum continues to grow, we need to help users work within the guidelines created by XDA. Over the last couple of years the average rom being created, has become a free for all chat thread. There tends to be much infighting and mod/developer cleaning.
The idea of this template is to create a Questions and Answers for each rom. This is in no way asking for Development to be moved here, rather any and all conversation that is non Development related to your conjoined Q&A."
This means that non-development related posts, should be posted - with the permission of the Dev - in this thread. What are the most common Off Topic posts, that should be posted in this Q&A/T thread?
1. Battery life related posts
2. Will this app work with this ROM
3. SD Card related problems
4. How do I dowmload and install this ROM, etc
Hope to have given you enough information,
kindest regards, Kuzibri"

This Q&A/T thread
"Hi my dear foloowers of my "VILLEC2 U ICS" ROM,
Kuzibri created in agreement with me a special Q&A/T thread for my ROM. He already explained, as well in my own thread as in this Q&A/T thread, the purpose of this thread and I agree fully with that. So, I would kindly ask you all to follow our requests to post non-development related posts in this Q&A/T thread in order to keep my Development thread as clean as possible form OT posts. By doing so, you wil also abide to the guidelines of XDA in posting in Development threads,
Thanks very much and also thanks to Kuzibri for creating this, dungphp
Hi! I installed this rom - it is smooth, but slowly. I use it all day, look's like stable. Find few bugs: i can't launch standart music player; when use zoom in camera - it's crash; i can't find autofocus in camera; world time dont launch.
Thanks for your hard work! :good: I hope that i left one of the roms whith sense 4 for daily use
PS: sorry for my english
Hey guys, I would like to try this rom on Native SD EXT
But Can;t get it to boot from SBoot
Using:
EU HD2
CLK + 4EXT REC
SD EXT 1GB
System 390MB
Now I have a lot of experience installing roms.
But only a little installing them to Native EXT
So I made an EXT 4 partition of 1GB (worked with every other rom)
The used CLK to repartition ot 390MB system
After this I went into recovery and flashed the rom
Then I tried to boot from SBoot - No game
So I tried flashing the Flash Sboot package form the native ext thread - No game
If I see my SD card, there is everything from haret to initrd.gz (I use the one posted by dunghp in the dev thread)
So everythign should be fine!
So Is there anything I'm missing?
thanks in advance for any help!

As an aside, you mentioned posts 38 to 54 were OT, but 41 was an update from OP and 43 was a mirror. But I think people understand your meaning
Lastly, I agree with gilbert32 that bug reports should be posted on the ROM thread, and I would be interested to know dungphp's opinion on this. But I agree with you that asking for other servers should be in Q&A thread.
Many thanks for your continued work on these Q&A threads my friend.

so, if I report that the v1 boot for me but stop at the first step of the setup wizzard (System Ui Fc) and there's no way to go out the lookscreen (no ring)
Clean install or by update, the same (EU, clk)
Is'it a post for the Q/T or the Dev thread ? :silly:

i'd say it's Q/T but it's not my decision
maybe try with bigger system partition. 400 should be fine (it is for me with clk, eu hd2)

Off topic posts or not in the original Dev's thread?
Hi All Followers of this ROM,
a certain post of a member of one of my Dev's ROM for whom I created a Q&a/T thread set me to think and reconsider what kind of posts is OT or not and how to deal with that.
It is not my intention to be overly strict about what is or is not an OT post, you should decide before you post whether you think it is OT. Consider whether the development of the ROM is helped by your post. Consider also whether someone in the future, searching through the thread, would find your post useful or would it just take up bandwidth.
If there is any doubt as to whether a post is OT, i will not ask you for it to be moved.
If I do decide your post is OT, I will ask you to move it.
If you think it is not OT, please post your reasons in this Q&A thread, quoting post number.
If I or the developer then agree with you, I will delete my post in the dev thread asking you to move it, and the post can stay.
I hope this makes it all clearer.

hey how r u?
thanx very much for ur time and work

- Test version: (One-S2)
Now just Data on EXT (dalvik on NAND) build (CWM >370mb)...
got too many bugs couldn't pass the setup wizrd when the system partition was 390
-it got installed fine when i tried CLK with 400 system partition + 2G EXT partion and 32G sdcard class 10
-the rom is slow after the 1st boot but if u leave it for about 10 or 15 mins it will settle down and work fine and smooth
-the rom is smooth with no lags
-the EXT partition appear in the phone storage
1.79Gb total space
590Mb apps
1.21Gb available
-when i tried to install some apps from the market or update the existing ones i always got invalid package
-i tried to download some apks and install but it couldn't install
-the file manager installed in the rom is not working
-bluetooth can be turned on and scan for other phones and can be detected by other phones but doesnt receive any files
battery life is perfect while WIFI,GPS and 3G r off
cant find a way to open the recent apps menu
nearly 90% of the widgets r not working
i tried to delete some of the apps (facebook, yahoo messenger, tweeter, watch, ......) in the rom so i can decrease its size but it didnt install
i know that some of the bugs i reported already said in the 1st post in the development thread
u can use any of desire HD roms after the dev's permissions to take the resized widgets and other updates as the same screen size and resolution and its specs nearly same as HD2
i used mygamers rom for my desire HD and its working fine

You can test v1.0:
- download initrd.gz for data on ext (not dalvik on nand). Drag to replace the initrd in rom then flash the rom
data on ext it should be lags !

"Hi dear followers of this ROM",

Welcome Post
My fellow followers,
As you can see, XDA Community is growing larger and we need to tidy up a little so that everyone can find relevant information more easily.
This is why a new trend in creating Q&A/T threads has started recently.
As a thread name suggests, this thread should be used for your questions, answers and troubleshooting my ROM installations.
Basically, this should be used in the manner the original thread has been used until now.
From now on, the main ROM development thread will be monitored more strictly and you should post there only relevant information that should help fix issues or improve the ROM.
I will not forbid you to post error reports there, but they should follow defined rules specified in the Troubleshooting section in the OP of the development thread:
you need to specify all relevant hardware/software information and attach all available log files, otherwise the information is useless for me and post will be considered off-topic and can be moved here.
I wish you many problem-free hours on my ROM and as always: Happy flashing!
Daekin

can you explain how DA2SDM works ?
it is basically the same as older Apps2SD or CronMod A2SD+:
- it mounts system parts and user applications to SD-EXT
the only difference is it is not achieved by symlinks but native mountpoints (using bind command) are used for whole folders.
this needs less processing, is more stable and more transparent to the user.
it is configurable - mount script is located in system/etc and it is called from initrd.gz during early initialization of file system - this is another advantage over init.d storage modes.
user should get the same free space as with using Apps2SD (i.e. userdata size information does not contain space for apps, users should check real free space using df command in terminal emulator)
Problems after flashing.
Now I have problem with phone.. because its rebooting itself after 1-3 minutes working with it.. what the hell ?
Right after reboot grab last_kmsg and post it here.
You can try other versions of kernel if the included one is not working for you (either marc1706's or mine...search my thread for more download links)

First of all thank you developer for the dedication to this ROM
I have installed this ROM before 24 hour and since that time till now my HD2 CPU usage run on 90-100% so it drain the battery so quick (2-3 hour to drop the power from 100% to 0%) and it gets hot always.
Something else.. while its CPU usage 100% forever so you can't feel it smooth.. it's so heavy.

Which magisk version did you install? Use only 20.3 to root. 20.4 causes issue. Btw only way to get back the missing fonts and emoji is to flash oos again afaik.
