Sense ROMs - Hero, G2 Touch General

which one would you say is the MOST:
stable, jit enabled, sense ROM with the HIGHEST linpack score so far?
to be used everyday.

try not to post the same question in different sections.
i use villainrom 10.2 with jit enabled. Its stable and i get 4.6 linpack without live wallpapers. 4.2 with.

AFAIK the linpack score has very little to do with user experience.

I was getting 4.8 linpack with JIT on V10 however it was only stable for up to 12 hours at a time.

quadrant standard scores

the guys that are getting over 3000 on it are running froyo and oc kernal right? i'm only getting 2400+ with oc kernal on 2.1 with lag fix.
Well 2.2 uses JIT compiler so it should be a lot faster than 2.1.

Quadrant/Neocore scores based on ROM/Kernel/SetCPU/SDCard

Just thought about gathering up some info on Quadrant scores and possibly correlate that to ROM/Kernel/MicroSD setup in order to figure out the best combination. I understand that Quadrant scores are somewhat subjective and Kernel code along with HD2 Android Builds are constantly changing, but it would still be interesting to see the tendencies in the performance.
Here is my most recent result:
Quadrant Score: 2046
Neocore Score: 31.8fps
ROM: [Build][21.10.2010][NexusHD2-FRG83 V1.5 PPP + RMNET (Froyo 2.2.1)]
Kernel: Hastarin 7.7
SetCPU: 1152/1152/ondemand
MicroSD: Transcend 8GB Class 6
Please note that I ran Quadrant and Neocore multiple times and I am showing the highest score achieved. I recommend you to do the same. I have seen 1994, 1997, 2015, 2017.
Here is Quadrant Score breakdown:
CPU - 6405
Memory - 1139
I/O - 1958
2D - 309
3D - 418
I noticed that 2D and 3D scores are not fluctuating as much as the other scores, though overclocking does slightly increase their values.
Thanks,
-CJ

that's quite some result!
Quadrant Score: 1500-1700 (varies quite a lot)
ROM: Mdeejay FroYo HD v.3.7
Kernel: Hastarin 7.7
SetCPU: 250/1152/conservative (performance doesn't change score)
MicroSD: Sandisk Class 6 (Ultra version)
I think it would be useful for those who have quadrant advanced to post the breakdown of their score to see exactly how everyone differs so much.
Not to be a buzzkill but a synthetic benchmark result from any of these programs doesn't really mean anything. It's more than possible to have a high linpack/neocore/xyz benchmark result and have a sluggish, unresponsive UI. You can do all sorts to Android to inflate your score but what counts is being able to use the phone day to day, with no problems.
how are you guys running neocore. my phone keeps telling me i dont support qualcomm accelerated graphics. then it force closes.
ive tried nearly all android builds, with a variety of available kernels.
none of them seem to allow me to run neocore. however i can get a 2k score in quadrant advanced.

Neocore FC could be a kernel issue (and/or maybe related to stagefright). Try Hastarin's 7.7 kernel and/or make sure stagefright is enabled.

Post your Linpack and Quadrant scores

along with setup please.
Figured we might as well record benchmark progress as kernels and ROMs get faster. I'll start off.
Linpack -- 56.264 high, 52-55 consistent
Quadrant -- 2090 high, 2000-2050 consistent
Setup:
bcnice's 1.5 OC kernel
NFX's stock deodexed ROM
SetCPU 245/1516 interactive
Dread's GB theme modified
Thanks to all the devs working on this phone. Can't wait to see what else this thing is capable of.
my scores
Running:
Bcnices 1.8 Gingerbread AOSP kernel
Evervolv Alpha Update 3
Deodexed
Quadrant:
Highest: 2968 , 26-2800 consistently
Linpack:
Highest: 60.XXX, 55-58 consistently
Its also important to note which quadrant version you are using as well. Scores vary widely between the paid and free versions.

This is very true. The test that scored 2968 was run using Quadrant Advanced 1.1.1 Rev 1352
New screenshot is the same system as above but run on the newest version of Quadrant Standard (1.1.7) available.
I get about 2000 on Quadrant at 1.8GHz. How is there such a big difference?

He's on an aosp rom with no sense framework

this was on regular quadrant OC'd to 1.8 on stock sense ROM and rooted
Is this any good?
If you have Advanced you can go into the Custom run and disable volumetric shadowing for the hallway. Scores will jump by 300-400. How the hell did you get over 4000?

MFLOPS

2.1 got 7 mflops,2.2 roms got 5 mflops and 2.3 roms 8 mflops but looks slow because 2d is not compiled from source.
Then what rom is fastest?
Well, 2.1 gets 7MFLOPS in linpack, but no more than 400-500 points in quadrant advanced, while 2.2 gets those 5-5.5 points in linpack but 1200 and above in quadrant advanced, if OCed. Now, what's the conclusion? Don't look at benchmarks, look at user experience.
Truth is, eclair and froyo are performing quite similarly. Some games lag in both, some in only on distribution. As far as homescreen and menus go, I feel that my GO launcher EX runs more smoothly on froyo than on eclair, while froyo is even more loaded with apps then my phone was back in its 2.1 days. And bear in mind that it's a "heavy" launcher with lots of additional features, like app killer.
So, the conclusion is, that froyo may in fact be a bit faster, but not much, and it may be due to better memory management of a newer android version. What is important, we get native app2sd, CM settings and other cool stuff if we use a custom ROM.
As far as 2.3 distributions are concerned, I cannot comment, as I never had one for more than one day, they were either laggy, or had no camera, or had other bugs. I'll wait 'till a functional one comes out, then I'll test it extensively

Best rom for quadrant scores ?

Most roms that I`ve tried (CM7 based and MIUI) perform a bit slow in quadrant (1000-1250) ,
and I`ve seen hd2`s with over 2000 , 3000 and even closing near 4000 .
I want the device to enter to a database of quadrant scores I have in my forum ,
if anyone could recommend any good roms for this purpose I`d appreciate it .
Thanks ,
Danny .
Try coredroid 1.6 and make a overclock!
Quadrant scores as has been said countless times does not mean that the actual build in question is necessarily faster (or more stable) than another build where it might score a lower Quadrant score it is just a benchmark and should not be taken as meaning the build is blazing fast, a build i had about 7 months ago had a score about 2250 yet the build i have on my phone now Hyperdroid CM7 is considerably faster and more stable and the Quadrant score is about 1300 but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
why do you want a synthetic benchmark rating system to tell you how fast your device isnt?
