So how do you apply the code? I purchased an unlock code, and all I got was a set of numbers. No instructions on how to apply to the phone to unlock. Do I dial it as a number, or how do I do it?

Just use a different network sim card and it will ask you for an unlock code.
Windows folder, look for SimLock.exe. Start it up and punch in the code. No need for foreign SIMs.

Well, I have it on mine. Use Resco Explorer or such and search for .exe files.

Screw it, I looked up the exe on the forum and downloaded a copy of the file. downloaded it to my windows folder, opened it up, and unlocked my phone! Awesome! Thanks for your help!

Maybe I,m not getting it!!! I have read and read some more about sim unlocking. As you can tell I am new at this! From the SPV-Developers Wiki I ran their helpful tool HTCUnlock application. On the screen of my 8125 it now shows Device unlocked. Then I read to unlock your sim you have to run Lokiwiz you get an unlock 8 digit code to unlock your sim. Yet when I run Lokiwiz02b I get a DOS screen giving me these options to choose from:
U. unlock
L. lock
C. CID unlock (SUPERCid unlock)
Q. Quit
So is my sim unlocked or not? I am really confused at this point. Taking any suggestions or help!!!

No I have not found a solution as of yet!!! I have read were other people was having this same problem but I never seen were anyone had help them resolve the problem or they post back on what they did to fix the problem.

copy the Rapiunlocker cab file to your device and run it manually before trying to unlock.

Thanks for posting back kyphur but I did what you suggest and I still get the same response as in my post August 17th. What else could it be? I think it has something to do with "The system cannot find the path specified."

In the Utils folder there should be 12 files named: (in alphabetical order) cecopy.exe, Cert_SPCS.cab, cerun.exe, cerunner.dll, EnableRapi.bat, EnableRapi.cab, itsutils.dll, lokiwizMsl.exe, pdocread.exe, pput.exe, prun.exe, and wizardunlock.exe.
If all of those files and folders exist and you still have problems, try unxipping Lokiwiz03a to your root directory maybe his program can't read past a certain number of characters in the path-name. I remember that for 0.2b it was recommended that you unzip to the root directory of C (C:\) before running it. Well, I hope this helps you out some ^_^

I figured out the problem, thanks to another post for another device that worked on my 8125 running ROM 2.25.
Copy the Rapi zip file AND the Cert_SPCS zip file to your device. Run them both on your device, then run the Lokiwiz on the PC.
This worked the first try and produced an unlock code. After running the Lokiwiz, follow all other directions as posted.

I'm at wits end on this one... I've tried everything possible... it has something to do with the HTCUSBToPCPopup.exe in the \Windows directory.... no shortcut I create linking to it will make it open...

Brilliant I've been wanting to know how to do this for a while. I swap between Active Sync, Internet Sharing and Disk Drive regularly. Thanks.
BTW: I renamed the file to just "USB2PC" with no .lnk extension and it still works fine.
Now I just gotta figure out how to set an icon for the quicklink - I think I read something about an app for doing that somewhere...... time to go for a search.......

I downloaded some cabs and when they go into my storage card I tap on the folder it makes. Inside the folder is an exe. and when I click on that the app starts. Its stupid why cant I just download the exe would that be faster. Hahahaha it funny why ddo I got to go threw all this process give me the exe any day.

cabs don't install just an exe. They also prepare your device to run a program. They make a shortcut in your program folder, they change the registry, install some extra files like databases, helper programs like dll's, help files etc. etc.

I have synced my contacts with gmail and facebook and i have following problem :
For example, John, with number 063123456 is in my people... 063 is for operator and 123456 is number.. If he is saved in that format, when he calls me , phone will display John, but if he sends me a sms, phone will display +38163123456 (+381 area code for Serbia). If i save John in +38163123456 format, phone will display "John" in sms, but when he calls me, phone will display 063123456..

Well it doesn't work for me. Or I just don't know how to do it.
I first tried to manualy add the regestry tweaks with Regestry Editor with no luck.
Then I tried the ProvXml methode. -> Opened the NotePad -> Coppied the code:

-> Renamed the file to CustClear.reg and added it to the rar file provxml deployer.rar -> opened the xap program.
What did I do wrong?
EDIT: Well you have to open the xap program with winrar so that you can see the files that are inside it. You must replace the CustClear.provxml file with the new one and save it. Then run the xap program to you WP7. Now it works. Thanks again for the tip

Just open the provxmldeplyoer.xap with WinRar on 7-zip and drag the custclear file in it, than save it. It worked for me
