are you really that stupid? first of all, this was not found on android forums, but rather from our own zifnab on the XDA forums.
second, did you not notice zifnabs post about 5 below yours? incase you missed it, here a link:

third, no root for leakers is guaranteed to work. an exploit has been found that MIGHT work not WILL.

Mutitouch already proof by Devs

Did you know that x10i and x10a can support MT, I was informed (inside source i cant tell) that the devs team already proof this to themself and choose not to let us know. Isnt it time for you to ask the question, most here dont want to ask anything of devs team becasue they're scared that the team will stop. I think differ, these guys love what they do and will answer if asked.

If it does it does, if it doesn't it doesn't... whether X10 does or doesn't support MT doesn't matter, if the devs can't have Custom ROM on X10, SE's official 2.1 won't give you MT

I'm curious as to why this is a huge topic for people, I came back to android from the iphone, and i can count on half a hand how many times i actually used MT, that feature actually seems kinda pointless imo, just my 2¢

It's a huge topic because people prefer to have MT on their devices even if they don't use it much. Some people will use it in some apps/games and some might not use it at all but for those who might not use it at all would want to have it 'in case' they need it for an app that they really want to use.
If there is no MT at all, then it seems restricted for some apps/games that maybe one day you might want to use and you find out it won't work without MT.

For non lover of MT post:- Dont just flamed other who want it for their own reason. if you dont use it or need it then good on you but dont stop others with your self opinionated reason. Sorry if you dont like MT post but let me give you an easy solution DONT READ THE POST, what do you think TiTLE and HEADING bar are there for?
Manufacturers may or may not see this post but readers will understand the needs for MT in nowaday devices.
IMO, MT is not get to use so much in devices that have less 4ins screen size because we all know that surfing on the net is painful to look at and slow in older devices (so pin-zoom is not appreciated) and playing game is not enjoyable (especially if you using multitouch because your fingers will obstruct most of the screen viewing) however on a 4ins and greater screen size I believe more people will like to use MT feature. Ask any tablet user, will they be happy if MT is to be removed.

It isn't the devs job to tell you anything... I'd rather they didn't stop hacking the x10 to file reports every 20 minutes when someone asks about MT. They have given their thoughts on the matter about half a dozen times already, you just chose not to believe them.. not their problem.
until they figure out how to chroot the se android to a custom rom there is no MT regardless of the hardware specs because SE won't enable it and without the roms none of us can change it either.
If you are so sure the devs are hiding it, why don't you become one and prove it to yourself one way or the other?
Devs are just knowledgeable, interested guys that work together via email/forum/chat to try to get this working for us, they are just like us, just much more talented with Linux. we have no right to demand anything dude. And doing so anyway just pi$$es them off...

Haha indeed, i think our resident geniuses will figure it out before sony gives in xD
I think our only hope of sony releasing the bootloader will be if/when they stop releasing the Xperia line.
Or maybe, just maybe when they stop support on the current X10's and X8's and so with that multi-touch update (whenever that may come around).

Ha, I have posted this a few days ago, since I am the one that opened this request at the SE site. But this post was deleted here at XDA. I am glad it is not now and it has some attention.
We are ranked third now and climbing. Maybe it is of no use, but at least we can try and give SE a bad feeling. I will try to write some other Android sites to give this more publicity and increase the pressure on SE. To give at least a reply on this.

I do this for the sheer fun of it!

the only reason that i have started a few thread recently is that a lot of work can be done faster if ppl help out... rather than one person sitting and doing it..
the only reason i released sources/codes, in the still-in-development threads, is that i was stuck with it for a few days now and I couldnt get it working... i thought that if i posted them in the community that may be we could get them working soon...
