Add to startup but hide in background

Just wondering if its possible to add a program to the startup so after soft reset its running automatically but its in the background ( so today screen comes up instead of applications opening screen).
I've got the program to do this currently by copying the .exe to the startup folder in windows - this gets the program running immediately from reset but its screen comes up before the today screen and i'd rather have it running in the background. Also is there any way to remove it from the running programs list?
I'm now using an xda2i:

Home Background

Hi,
i am unable to change the home wallpaper.i press menu->wallpaper->weather wallpaper choose something but nothing changes.
i also installed 1.21 hq wallpaper patch and am using a 1.48 greek rom.I updated from 1.43 wwe and i think i did not have this problem.If i use hdwall to prepare a cab with my image it works fine.Is it a bug then?
i can change to an animated wallpaper, only weather wallpaper does not work.
Any ideas?

Energy Rom Leo custom wallpapers not working

I have looked through a lot of the existing threads and tried installing the cabs that people have posted made from HDwall. I havent been able to get the wallpapers to work.
I am using latest leo rom with manila 2.5.2
Are there any settings or patch installations that i am missing?
Can anyone give me a step by step guide to installing these cabs or how i can create my own wallpapers using hdwall for the rom that i have. What settings should i be using in hdwall to create wallpapers?

im having the same problem
whenever i try to use hdwalls to set m,y background it does nothing
ANd when i install the cab it changes the task and softkeys but leaves the bg unchangable

I tried this method....i can install the cab now but i am having a few problems...
1. the wallpaper is portrait mode is not properly aligned with the top and bottom bars
2. landscape wallpaper is completely messed up...it basically is rotating the portrait and putting it in landscape.....
is there way to fix it....can someone please post step by step instructions or a screen shot of the HDwall configuration that u have

what other cabs do you have installed? background4all? cookie monster? max manila.
I use cookie monster and when I install background4all my wallpaper disappears until I uninstall background 4 all.

Wallpaper Menu Questions

I have been searching for a while on the threads and I am unable to find my answer.
I have the Energy May 1 Rom with CHT. I am looking for a reg edit to change the folder address from "MyDevice/MyWallpapers" to a my storage cards wallpaper folder. that way I don't have to sort through all the album submenus to get to my desired wallpapers.
i.e. From home screen Menu>Home Wallpaper>Weather Wallpaper >(Opens My Wallpaper) want to change it to my Storage Card address.
Same for Lockscreen too would be cool.
Any Help would be awesome.

[Q] How to change manila start menu background and the icons' back?

Hi All,
Can someone tell me how to change the manila start menu background and the grey buttons in Gen.Y D2 R5.5 ROM?
I want to use the same background for all Sense tabs and the sense programs tab under the windows button.
So please tell me, how to customize this:

To enable "old" LargeMenu (Disable new manila start menu):
