hey welcome aboard, its prett simple actually , theres alot of reg edits out there to increase and decrease the sensitivity, but a simple way to decrease the sensitivity is by downloading and installing bsbtweaks which is avaliable here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589305 . and once thats isntalled scroll down a little untill u find the option that says decrease screen sensitivity

I just came across this tweak on this website:
http://www.pocketpctweaks.com/pocketpc_tweaks/Minimize_tapping_Pressure
I tried it and it works great. I now use less pressure on the screen.
What ever you do, don’t set the value below the default of 7526. If you do, you may set it too low, the sensitivity will be too low and you will have to perform a Hard reset.
Here is the tweak from the website listed above:
Minimize Pressure when Tapping the screen
Ever got used to tapping without screen protectors and suddenly you put some screen protector and have a pecuilar feeling (some-what like tapping harder than u normally do) due to the increase thickness of the protector?
Well i have gone to that and finally ive done some simple tweaks to my xda mini.
I also figure out this could lessen normal wear and tear(scratching of protectors/PDA screens) since lesser pressure is applied to Tap the screen
here's what i did..
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Drivers\Touch
If not there try here:
HKLM\Drivers\Touchpanel\ Pressure Threshold
or find 'Threshold'
Change the value of Pressure Threshold.(INCREASE value ONLY!!!)
what i did is set the value at 11880.
i tried doubling the default value. until i have reached my desired setting.
now,its like tapping soflty without having a feeling that i have screen protector. Also less stress on the stylus and screen and faster tapping.
WARNING: Only INCREASE THE VALUE BUT NEVER THE DECREASE THE DEFAULT VALUE.
Lowering the value of Pressure Threshold means you need to apply more pressure in tapping than you normally do.
ive tried this and when i soft reset, the screen won't react even if i apply deep pressure in tapping so i needed to do a HARD Reset!!!
So don't ever think of lowering the value, JUST INCREASE but NEVER LOWER!!
Tweak open for comments.
thanks...
Thanks, this tweak worked wonderfully!
I dont use a screen protector (for now at least) and I noticed an improvement in sensitivity as well when I set it to 11880.

I posted a thread about this before. Nobody answered but I finally found the answer on my own. What you have to do is to make sure you have a storage card and put a file called welcome.not in the root of it. There doesn't have to be anything in it, you can just open notepad and save the blank file with that name. That tells the device to skip the whole welcome bit with the touch screen calibration and all that.
I may not have the name exactly right, it's been several months. But if you do a search on threads started by me you can probably find it.
i saw this in another link and they said to put it at 240, i listened and i had to hard reset. thank you for clearing things up buddy
hey, the link for the program is bad i was wondering if any one could post the a link for it i have looked everywhere. I have a prob. alighning screen and would like to see if changing the sensitivity will somehow help.
Use Schap's Advanced Configuration Tool. Saves you a ton of brainwork, since it's just doing the registry edits for you. Can also be used to tune your Bluetooth Stereo setup, and a host of "basic" UI modifications.
Hi all at this forum
The Link±
Increase the sensitivity of Touch Screen
I just came across this tweak on this website:
http://www.pocketpctweaks.com/pocket...pping_Pressure
dont work anymore...
Has anybody got an actial link???
And... Does this work for a samsung i900?
With regards
VArmand
Works great for me - thanks colouro
For the max senstivity set both fingerpressure and threshold to -1 or FFFFFFFF in Hex..
i try:
regedit()
HKLM/Drivers/TouchPanel - PressureThreshold to 80866
HKLM/Software/OEM/TFLOSettings - FingerPressure to 1
Soft-Reset
It's the same of DIAMOND
I think this improve the speed reaction of touch screen
Are you really so unhappy with the standard settings? I have no problems with the response of my display, but maybe I'm just pressing hard enough .
This is a good CAB, worth a try,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=149174&d=1232643110
Got it from here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469865
It is just a reg tweak and easily uninstallable.
I like it.
I'm still curious about what the registry change is.
On my Diamond I set Finger Pressure and Pressure Treshold to 0 for best sensitivity. For the Xperia to be max sensitive I had to set 99999 to both Finger Pressure and Pressure Treshold.
So, what is the setting with the Blackstone?
Just do the screen calibration as gently as possible, that way you'll get a very responsive screen

I know about that, I just want to know the optimal values so I can get it right every time with a minimum of fuss.

You can also adjust the threshhold using HD Tweak saves changing the registry
I have both set to 0 and my screen feels very responsive.
My friend want to get an Iphone but i conviced her to get the WM mobile, finally we choose the Omnia Icon. We recognized that the touch screen doesnt work well, it's not smooth especially when we install app, the phone takes a bit of time to respond when we touch to confirm the installation.
we are so disapointed. I am usng the HTC HD2 at the moment and the screen is perfect, any one get the same problem like me. Hope someone can help me to solve it. Many thanks.
I think u need to uninstall apps from samsung and do some configuration on the phone. or just change the OS.
adjust your screen sensitivity
You may want to adjust your screen sensitivity so it responses more quickly. Use a registry editor.
HKLM/system/GWE/touch/filter and set minimum tap time to 0
This phone is awesome after you personalize it and luckily there are a few websites to help you with that if you are willing to put in some effort.
So far im liking my hd2 but the touch screen seems to sensitive especially in situations were im just holding the phone with the keys unlocked. it calls everybody. the funny thing is when im trying touch a link or something on opera it wont ****ing press. but if i put in my pocket, it does everything it can possibly start. any solutions would be appreciated.

lol... I have had the same problem and fixed it by changing the REgistry as indicated in tap #44 of the following link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638
Hope this helps. Also other tweaks that are helpful.
I think the same thing that registry edit does is also available in cab format, in the 2nd post of THIS thread, 7th item on the list
bsb tweeks can
Yeah i also uses B&B tweaks to but I guess if you want a more precise touch you can use the reg editing.
ive used both the cab and bsbtweaks and I find bsb better. it adjusts the same reg entries, but different values.
Hello,
I have the T-Mobile USA HD2, with the stock T-Mobile ROM 2.13 (the one that came with it, I just have not gotten around to updating it to the newer one yet).
When I first got it the G-sensor seemed to rarely work, to change the screen to landscape, etc..
I did something to make the G-sensor more sensitive, or the phone more responsive to it.
But now I find it way too responsive. The display is often going to landscape, or turning completely upside down, without me intending that, from the slightest movement of the phone.
So now I want to reduce that sensitivity.
Problem is--I cannot recall what I did before, that made it more ssnsitive--whether it was some kind of setting, or with some tweaking app, or directlly in the registry.
I cannot figure out how to lower that sensitivity now. There is a G-sensor applet in Control Panel, but that is only to calibrate it, not to adjust the sensitivity.
Can someone please tell me how to do this?
Thank you in advance.
Did you use someting like BsB Tweeks or Touch Tools to adjust the sinsativity? If it was a registry tweek you can probably find it in the "Leo Hints, Tips and Registry Tweaks"

I have BSB Tweaks , but do not recall seeing a G-Sensor sensitivity setting in it. Is there? Where?
---------
Now I just checked BSB. It has a setting for screen sensitivity, but I think that has to do with the touch screen, not the G-Sensor.

Oh sorry I thought BsB Tweeks had a G-Sensor adjuster in it to, guess that is what I get for talking about a app I only used for like 4 days then changed over to Touch Tools. I know Touch Tools has this feature in it. Did you check the thread I linked for registry tweeks?

Did I check that thread? Well, it currently has 240 pages in it! I looked through much of it--a lot of interesting and useful tweaks there!
But no, I did not see (did not read all 240 pages yet though!) a setting for responsiveness to the G-Sensor.

Ha Ha Ha I did not mean read the whole thing just the first post that contains the list of registry tweeks and how to do each one. If you did not see it in there then install Touch Tools and use it as I said I know it has the ability to change G-Sensor sensativity.
