did you use comport 20 for you activesync connection?
no i haven´t got 20 port available ...
thanks of new
I think I've got it
But it's a little tricky
1. Delete all connections on Pc and PPC
2. Start the Setup-Assistent and choose I want to find
3. Initiate Paaring
4. Choose ActiveSync without secure connection.
5. Set com20 if possible.
6. Please go to your ppc properties on your pc and allow active sync
If you coose com20 you can quit here, if not try this:
7. Start->Run->Regedit
8. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WIDCOMM\BtConfig\Services\
9. Search the folder with Name=ActiveSync (I have 0010)
10. Change the ComPortNumber to 20.
11. Search with your PPC the services on your pc and take activesync
12. Go to the preferences of your bluetooth-enviroment of your pc and take the tab local services. Now change the com-port number of your activesync service to an existing one (I have 4).
Now it should work

What if my computer does not show Activesync as a bluetooth option. I can get PIM synchronization but no Activesync. How do I go about adding Activesync as a service my computer can use?
I think the Activesync service is nothing else then a serielle connection called "ActiveSync" with com-port 20. Just create this on manually.
i think tomorrow we have a new rom version, a uninstall AS, and HR to the ppc, then i do this test...
thanks
I have the same problem, when I try to connect from the PPC it says there's no partnership with an AS enabled PC. And when pairing / updating services, the PPC sees serial and handsfree services on the PC, but no AS. Partnership is established, it works fine over USB.
Like miguelromerom I also use the Widcomm stack. Mine is urrently version 5.0.1.1400. I tried several older versions as well.
On the PC I have an incoming bluetooth serial port at COM 4, which is named "My ActiveSync". Secure connection not checked. AS 4.1 is set to allow connections on COM 4. The service on the PC is active.
On the PPC I had optionally configured serial ports: incoming (7), and outgoing (6) to the PC. Set the non secure. Though I'm not sure if either of them is required. I suppose we're all agreeing the port numbers on the PPC bear no relation to the port numbers on the PC?

I also tried this. I still see no AS service from the PPC when doing this. It is not possible to select COM20 in the AS 4.1 connection settings.

ActiveSync via Bluetooth
I am not sure how it will go with Wizard, but with Magician it help me.
I found this step, but I forgot the origin. So actually no permission from the author. I share this with hope can help others. Hopefully the author understand.

1)On your PC go to the Control Panel and select "Bluetooth". In the "Options" tab, make sure all the ticks are on. You'll now see a little bluetooth icon on your system tray. Makes it easier to access in the future. Your PC should also be ready to be found as long as you ticked the fist box in the step above.
2)On your Jam, Go to Start, Settings, System (Tab), Bluetooth Settings. On the screen that comes up you ONLY want to hit start. Leave the incoming and outgoing checkboxes OFF!!!
3)You will now be taken to the partnership screen, where you just follow the instructions to add your PC. Follow through until you hit finish. Close everything down until you're back at the today screen.
4)Back to your PC, double click on the Bluetooth icon in your system tray. Go to "Com Ports" (Tab) and click "Add". Choose incoming. A You'll see an incoming port added to the list (probably be the only item there). It should look like "COM X Incoming"
Remember what number is after COM. Close all windows, making sure you hit OK or Apply where you have to.
5)Open Active Sync on your PC. Hit File, Connection Settings. Enable the first tick, and select the COM port you had to remember in the previous step. Hit OK
6)Open Active Sync on your Jam. Choose Tools, Connect Via Bluetooth.

USB Internet Connection

Hi,
For some strange reason, I'm unable to connect to the Internet when I have my USB connected to my 8125 to a computer which has internet connection (the computer I'm using right now). It constantly tries to dial the GPRS.
It used to connect to the Internet and never dials to any GPRS. This started happening today. I haven't changed anything at all.
When I open PIE it will load the MSN page but still tries to dial. I try another URL (yahoo) and it will not connect. I believe its displaying the MSN homepage using the temporary files.
Please help!
Try a couple things...
On the PPC go to Start > Settings > Connections Tab > Network Cards > and make sure "The Internet" is chosen for "My network connects to:" and click "Ok"
Next, on your computer, open ActiveSync > File > Connection Settings > and make sure "The Internet" is chosen for "This computer is connected to:" and click "Ok"
(Even if those settings are correct already, still pull down the menus and choose them again, clicking ok afterwards, everyone knows windows likes to accidentally forget settings even when they are still correctly displayed) Reboot the computer and PPC, then try again
If all that fails, then on the PPC go to Start > Settings > Connections Tab > Connections > Advanced Tab > Select Networks > and click "Edit" for whichever connection you have chosen for "Programs that automatically connect to the internet should connect using:" > on the modem tab make sure "auto pick" is selected > on the "proxy settings" tab make sure "this network connects to the internet" is checked > make sure "this network uses a proxy server..." is UNCHECKED > click "Ok" > click "Ok" > click "Ok"
That should do it for ya

O2 Mini - Removing access to Bluetooth and Wifi

Hi
I've been looking through the forums and can find plenty to solve bluetooth transfer problems, but I am after the opposite. I am trying to lock out access to the following, but can't find anything on the web (unless I have missed it).
Comm Manager (icon on PPC Desktop)
Bluetooth (from Settings -> Connections menu too)
Wi-Fi (from Settings -> Connections menu too)
MMS - if this is possible
PocketMSN
Beam (from Settings -> Connections menu)
Wireless LAN (from Settings -> Connections menu)
Also, if possible, does anyone know how to hide the shortcut for the 'Clear Storage' option, or hiding the passcode it asks for so you still have to enter it, but it doesn't tell you what to enter?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

How to turn off data but keep MMS

Ok. Now for everybody who keeps getting crazy charges for their phone for data charges when all they really use is MMS, this short guide is your friend. This assumes you have a CDMA phone (idk about GSM right now) and Arcsoft MMS. This was tested on an Alltel ROM and seems to work great. I am not responsible for any additional charges that you may receive but I did work as hard as possible to create a carrier foolproof solution. If you do not care about MMS, skip steps 7-10.
Here goes:
1. Install a DCD Carrier cab. It doesn't matter which one. This will allow you to change your Connection settings if you have a carrier like Verizon or Alltel that prevents you from doing so.
2. Soft reset in so the cab will take effect.
3. Go to Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connections -> Advanced -> Select Networks
4. Change the first drop-down box to 'My Work Network' or another blank connection.
5. Press OK twice and soft reset.
6. Go back to Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connections -> Advanced -> Select Networks and verify that your connection settings have indeed changed.
7. Go to Start -> Programs -> Messaging -> SMS/MMS -> Menu -> MMS Options -> Servers
8. Edit the MMSC server you would like to send and receive MMSs on.
9. Go down to 'Connect via:' and select your carrier's connection settings.
10. You're done!!! Enjoy your MMS enabled, no data, less money on your bill phone!!!!
Thanks alot but the best solution is using this program

How can I provide internet from my Desktop PC to my Pocket PC via bluetooth?

Omnia, WM 6.1
I have used Activesync but the connection is bad. Sometimes I cannot open some sites, other times - I can open them. Weird...
I am trying something else: I went to Settings - Connections, I added new connection, and under "add new modem connection" -> "select a modem" there is Bluetooth! What is this, can I use my PC as a bluetooth modem?
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=InternetOverBluetoothNetwork
Rudegar, thanks for the link, but the following part does not apply to my WM 6.1-based device. Where can I find these things in WM6.1:
# Tap the Bluetooth icon and tap the link saying Bluetooth Manager.
# Tap the starred Bluetooth icon.
# Tap the Join a personal network.
# Select Join a personal network option and tap Next.
# After your Connection Wizard sees your computer, select it and select Finish so that your HTC Creates a shortcut for this connection named Network with '?InsertYourComputersNameHere'. Please note that there is no need for a secure/encrypted connection.
# Double tap or hold and select Connect to the Network with '?InsertYourComputersNameHere' to make a connection with your access point.
# At this point or later, your HTC will ask you if this connection is a Work or Internet connection. I have chosen this as my Work connection.
On my device there is neither "Bluetooth Manager", nor "Join a personal network"
Meanwhile I am trying something else: http://media.snimka.bg/2551/011357944-big.jpg
I went to Settings -> Connections -> Connections, I added new connection, and under "add new modem connection" -> "select a modem" there is Bluetooth! What is this, can I use my PC as a bluetooth modem?
