Mytouch slide official port for fender/1.2 - myTouch 3G, Magic General

Does anyone have plans to port the official release mytouch slide rom to the fender/1.2?

Check the G1 forums; full fender/1.2 support is integrated into cyanogen's source code and most other devs use his kernel or a modified version of it; there's a couple decent ports so far.

Kernel build on Dev Phone 2 (Sapphire)

Hi All,
I have a Dev Phone 2 with a 32B board.
I have downloaded the Sapphire source tree from HTC, and I have attempted to compile it (I am familiar with kernel build/hacking, though not on this platform...yet) The kernel, as it is configured "out-of-the-box" does not compile. It seems to die trying to build the touchscreen driver, among other things.
This is consistent with other posts i have seen about part of the kernel being "proprietary"
I am trying to understand two things:
1. Is it possible to rebuild this kernel? Or is the kernel source only provided so that I can build modules aganst it.
2. If so, how do I get around the build problems i am seeing?
Many thanks!
i would post in the sapphire dev forum, or also the g1 dev forum, as the dev's who visit those may be able to help you with your compiling issues...
good luck...
also check www.theunlockr.com as they have build guides for most devices (i know they have 32B guides)

Any development on problematic Rogers 2.1 kernel compatibility?

As you probably know, some of the Rogers 32As were having problems with any other kernel but Cursor's, thus being limited to 1.5 (screen blur, interlacing issues, contrast etc). I was wondering if there were any developments in to this, or if the consensus was just to wait for Rogers to finish "testing" the official image from HTC in July? Search wasn't bringing up anything save the old february thread.
I want my 2.1! haha
I use Rogers 32A on Fido with latest CM 5.0.8. Everything works great except battery drain. No issue as pointed above.
This issue has been resolved recently with a kernel patch. I don't remember the thread, but most 32A ROMS have already incorporated this patch.

Port kernel/ROM from Wildfire to Magic

Hi,
Saw Froyo Wildfire kernel source code on HTC developer site. I just want to ask 2 things:
1/. Is there a chance we can benefit from this (port ROM/ kernel etc) and get a semi-official Sense ROM?
2/. Is it possible (regarding time/effort) to port this kernel to Magic?
I am wondering about the same thing. Is it possible? Maybe this thread should be moved to Development section.

[DEV][TEAM] Building up a new HTC Sense port Team!

Hey guys!
Some time ago I worked with Kenia to fix the remaining bugs in the Sense port, however we didn't manage to do that. The ROM still has connectivity and camera problems, just as it was left months ago. By the way in the meanwhile we got new kernels that support Gingerbread bootloaders, new htc sense leaks (though remaining on 2.1 should be fine),but unfortunately nobody is working on it.
I'm quite expert as far as system developing is concerned but I'm not very good with kernels
The team could be made up of:
2 system developers/porters
1 kernel guru
3/4 beta testers
Others?
Maybe I'm the only one left here that's still hoping for a fully working sense ROM,but with the help of the some people here,we can finish the work in few days
Some useful links here.
Here there's the old Sense thread, with the 0.6 version we can start from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044637&highlight=status+7
And here there's a similar ROM (RcMixHD),with everything working, for the Nexus One. We can use it for apks and some configs: http://www.multiupload.com/SSW4F2V1XS
Let me know mates
Dario.

Anyone?
I alredy got a working ROM,so i'd need a kernel dev to import bootclasspath and init.rc lines in a cm7/MIUI kernel
Is it based on the 2.3.6 android?
If it is, beta tester here <--

[Q] Is there any developer available to port GRUB4ANDROID?

Some days ago I saw GRUB4ANDROID, an awesome port of grub for any qualcomm device.
On the original post, the GRUB4ANDROID developer says that's incredibly easy to port this, even on locked bootloaders.
I know there's also a multirom port for this device, but it can't boot ROMs with different sources, it needs the same kernel for all the installed ROMs.
I'm not a dev, so is there anyone available to port this for the G2? This would be a big step forward for the LG G2 modding.
just search GRUB4ANDROID on google to see the original dev gplus post.
