Both mine and my husbands new evo's hang after 5-10 sec's of viewing a video in youtube.
It happened in the store too.
I looked to deinstall or reinstall and can't find it in app store, etc.
Anyone else having issues?
I only have 3g at my house.. just went to a 4g area and youtube worked fine.
Still don't understand why it will play for 5s or so, then completely lock up.
No one else having this issue in a 3g area?

Is this normal? I switched from the Mogul to the Touch and I constantly get streaming media buffering, etc. and connection drops... I never had streaming issues with my Mogul in the same location of Houston. I mean it could show 1 bar, and I was constantly streaming 99 percent of the time....
Now when I stream I get disconnected off and on every few minutes.. The actually indicator for data transfer goes to idle while streaming and sometimes doesn't recover...
Is this maybe a coincidence, and just sprints data connection is going slow at this hour? (Last night in the same location it worked fine, during the day it goes slow).
Or is it maybe settings based on the Touch? Or hardware? Maybe weaker antenna? I love the Touch, but for me streaming is kind of a deal breaker. I use it all the time on my mogul...
Anyone got an ideas? Suggestions to try?
Also, if this isn't odd enough... If I download a file through IE.. Then run the bench mark while its downloading my speeds go up to 191kbits/sec...
Is this a software issue? And is there a way for me to resolve this?

I avg 400-600 in Houston. I use the DSLreports page to test. i would take the phone back. is it stuck in 1x data vs evdo? the lowest i ever get is 150 and i've had as high as 900 something with 3 bars at my house in Friendswood.
It's strange, cause when I go to other areas in Houston it works fine. Today all of a sudden the streaming has been perfect from my apartment... Like it wasn't even an issue...
Maybe the towers near my house were experiencing slow down.. It just came at the worst time, since I just got the Touch, and my Mogul never had these issues.
I hope it continues, cause it's fine now.. And no way in hell am I sending the Touch back for the Mogul now that Ive gotten used to the touch screen.

On my Hero the facebook picture albums will only load over wifi and not 3g.
I've checked settings... does yours do this?
Mine works over 3G and edge. It takes a bit longer to download all the picture information like a 15-30 seconds. but part from that its all good
it's fine on mine, do you have problems with anything else on 3g?

Yes I've also been having similar problems -- I loaded all the Facebook pics, some from 3G, some over wifi, then for some reason, completely randomly (i turned of wifi maybe?) all the ones loaded on wifi disappeared and I had to manually edit the contacts and select their picture as "Facebook picture" and I've reloaded them via wifi, for now, they've stuck... but we'll have to see if they disappear again... Either way, an annoying bug as I had to go through every contact reapplying their picture.
My wife's new hero didn't work the first day she got it for a lot of things over 3G. This was all fixed in the morning. I'm guessing it took a while for them to sort out the 3G authorisation! Mine worked perfectly straight away, but it was an upgrade, so they didn't have to provision the SIM.
Haven't seen this one mentioned, but my 3g problem isn't really a lack of. It's that my signal seems to get 'locked' up occasionally. If I am on the web, opening a new page sometimes it will lock up trying to load the page and I will have to open market, or some alternative application to jumpstart my 3g. Anyone else have similar problems? Solutions? Had my Nexus for all of 6 days now and love it... when is the next update for this phone and what can be expected to be fixed?

Just got my V20 in the mail and was super hyped for it, but I've noticed a problem I've never had before; when connected to Wi-Fi (or Mobile Data) whenever I leave home for a period of time, and come back, after awhile, video playback will break.
For example, I can load web pages, browse, etc, but I can't watch a video sent from messenger, can't load them on instagram, YouTube even gets stuck in looping (and before my factory reset it would just give me a playback error on YouTube) but when I exit the app (I have YouTube Red) videos will play in the background, so it's to say I can hear the audio fine, but I just can't seem to get playback to work.
A powercycle (turning the phone off and on) fixes this problem, but honestly, I don't want my phone to do this at all.

I've talked with a Sprint representative and he's the one that suggested the reset, and I we hoping that'd fix my problem, but he said the other option was that I'd have to send the phone in (which I really don't want to do).
He also mentioned it may have something to do with my phone having problem connecting to the tower nearest my house whenever I come home, and that it may be a hardware issue. (But I can get audio fine, just not video playback).

After having the V20 for a few, the aforementioned problem happens less, but also seems more than just a connectivity problem.
For example, whenever YouTube begins to have issues, I'll update the profile (Sprint) and then will retry and test with other apps that show media (such as videos in messenger or instagram) and none of these videos will playback.
I'm not quite sure what the problem is as I've never had it before, but I'll try to hang on to this V20 until 7.1 and if I notice it any longer after that, I'll just have it replaced.
If you have any suggestions, let me know.

I'm having the exact same problem!! The video playback keeps on breaking up, I don't know why. Everything from youtube, Instagram and messenger and then sometimes apps start crashing. I need to restart the phone by then, its strange.
I'm using a H990DS dual sim version though.
Perhaps this is a software issue, currently waiting if there's a patch to it, have you tried contacting LG?

Every other music, and video service I have tried works just fine. YouTube for some reason loads the first 5-6 seconds of the video, and just stops. I have tried disabling the app, and then updating it. I have wiped the cache. I have spent a couple of hours on the phone with t-mobile. Nothing is helping. YouTube works just fine over Wi-Fi. The same thing happens when I tether to my tablet. It will load videos from the mobile site. What can I do guys? Should I flash the t-mobile firmware on my unlocked device? I am at my wit's end. T-mobile says it can't be anything to do with their service, even though it worked just fine before I switched service this morning.
Anyone have any ideas? I have tried alternative YouTube apps, and they all work. However I wouldn't want to rely on just using them, because I loose the ability to sign in with most of them. With the only one I found that I can sign in on, OGYouTube, I have to chose which tab I want to see, instead of being able to swipe from recommended to subscriptions, and such. SO is there a way to get the official YouTube app working, or is there a better app I don't know about?
