were can i get driver for the infa-red port on my toshiba laptop
Hi,
Can anyone give me some information about openning the USB port as device and communicate to the USB master?
Thanks.
without being 100% then i would guess thats that one of the things which devide masters and peripherals that peripherals cant init the connection and can only listen for an connection request from masters
Yes. I just want it to be a slave device.
I am trying to open it as com port (0?). I believe that I need to stop ActiveSync to gain the access.
I wonder how much USB control I can have using it as com port.
Am I on the right track?
thanks,

yes, and put my trinity on the bumper....
wondering if there is an adapter somewhere to allow me to plug in my Evo4g(or any mini USB phone) to an RJ45 connector...for example a console port on a switch/router and use a terminal app to configure it.
is this even possible?
thanks for any info
Wow...
Wow lol, while that's a pretty cool idea I doubt it could work... I use a USB to Serial adapter on my laptop to connect to switch gear with a Cisco cable, this one specifically,
http://www.amazon.com/Keyspan-USA-1...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1318030317&sr=1-1
but the phone itself would have to have a driver for it, or you'd have to custom code one yourself... Either way I'm not sure a phone would even support serial emulation over its USB connection. Cool thought though!
A question: .... someone already tried to use this usb cable rj45 from apple with android? tried on windows ... it works when you install the driver ... on android it was not recognized. i have it here unused and i would love to be able to use it with dex.
