SFR France GPRS Access for QTEK S200 (with Dopod ROM)

Guys,
I've have a Qtek S200 (upgraded with Dopod 2.15.13.27 universal english rom) and I'm having problems getting a GPRS connection for WAP browsing with SFR France. I've set-up my connection with what I think are the correct APN settings and whenever I launch my browser the conneciton comes-up OK. The problem is that IE cannot locate any pages that I enter.
I think this is down to either some other parameter that I'm missing, a DNS issue or a problem with SFRs WAP site not recognizing my device. I've tried setting with and without a proxy server (195.115.25.129) and this makes no difference. In fact when I connect I cannot ping this server anyway.
The settings I'm using are:
APN: wapsfr
Proxy: 195.115.25.129
Cellular line: GPRS
username: none
password: none
domain: none
Addressing: dynamic
DHCP: dymanic
I'm using Hudson Mobile's IP Dashboard to monitor my connection and I get a valid IP address. Normally something like 10.277.143.81 but when I try to ping the proxy server I get a request timeout.
I've also set-up a different APN connection for MMS and this is working OK.
Has anyone got a suggestion on what the problem may be?
Thanks,
Tony
(if possible, english replies only as I'm still mastering French)
fixed the problem
I found a solution. For SFR, you need to set the HTTP proxy to port 8080 instead of the default which is port 80.
SFR also requires a proxy for WAP (port 9201) and secure WAP (port 9203). The proxy IP address is 195.115.25.129 for all three protocols.
The bad thing about all of this is that the SFR Web site does not provide this information. They just advise you to set the APN to wapsfr.

Yup you needing all of it (Data and MMS setup) or just MMS?

Server AWS MMS
Gateway 10.250.250.100
server address http://mmsc.mymmode.com
Port 9201
Connect via My isp
Are these right?
These settings worked on my K-Jam, but not on my 8525 (mms settings only)
Thanks

Connect via Secure WAP Port 9201
Also have you defined 10.250.250.100 under the proxy settings for WAP and Secure WAP ports 9201 (WAP) and 9203 (Secure)?
Also have you defined 10.250.250.100 under the proxy settings for WAP and Secure WAP?
I'm sorry I don't know where to change these settings. How do I do this?
Thanks

Just to make sure you can surf the internet via Internet Explorer to both www and wap pages?
When you try to send does it try to connect? Mine if I am connected to regular Data asks if I want to switch to Secure WAP before sending.
I can surf via explorer and get onto secure web pages, but unable to send any mms messages.
Thanks
These are the mMode MMS settings I use....
Server name: MMS (don't think this matters what you call it)
Gateway: 10.250.250.100
Port: 9201
Server address: http://mmsc.mobile.attwireless.net
Connect via: The Internet
Sending size limitation: 250k
WAP Version: WAP 1.2
Hope this help.
I do not have the option to select wap 1.2
Here are the choices:
media net
my work network
my isp
work
secure wap network
the wap network
the internet
does anyone know why or what I did, not have wap 1.2 or 2.0 as an option?
thanks

Did you set up the settings for My Work Network as well as the O2 mobile internet? Also, have you checked the IP addresses and gateways carefully?
The appropriate settings for MMS are:

Port 9201
Address http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

Wap 1.2
My Work Network settings:
O2 Active
Cellular GPRS, 3G
APN: wap.o2.co.uk
user o2wap
p/w: password
Advanced: Server Assigned IP address and DNS
For completeness, the O2UK 3G settings are:
Connection Name: O2 Internet
Access Point: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: faster
Password: password

Does using At&t's gateway and server address cost money

i wanna send/receive emails only through wifi...i have the at&t Tilt.
Under the mms options if u go under "servers" u'll c "AT&t MMS"
the gateway it uses is wireless.cingular.com
port number 80
server address: http://mms.cingular.com
Connect Via (it was set to media net) but i changed it to "the internet"
i only want to use wifi for sending/receiving emails......would i still get billed for using their gateway / server?
I also have the connection settings under settings as "my isp" for internet use
thanks for the help!

NZ 2 degrees mobile internet

I'm trying to configure my blackstone for mobile internet use on the 2 degrees network in New Zealand. The 2 degrees website gives the following config info:
WAP Gateway Settings
WAP gateway IP: 118.148.1.118
WAP Gateway Port (WAP2): 8080
WAP Gateway Port (WAP1): 9201
Homepage: http://m.2degreesmobile.co.nz/

APN: internet
Going through Start > Settings > Connections > Connections > Add
I entered http://m.2degreesmobile.co.nz/ into the Access Point Name field and proceeded to completion (leaving the Username and Password fields empty).
Unfortunately when trying to connect to the internet I get a 'can not connect for an unknown reason' error.
I can't see anywhere to configure WAP or MMS but I don't believe it's this that is preventing me from access the internet.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to get it working................

no doubt you have solved this problem already but for anyone who hasn't, 2degrees website is very helpful and there is a section were you write in your phone number and some other details and they send you a bunch of txt msgs containing updates and settings changes that will fix the 3g problems.
