Facebook Panel - XPERIA X2 General

Can anyone get it to work since MR1 and MR2? After I download and install it will not work correctly, I just get functionless facebook wallpaper like screen.

In case anyone was interested, don't use the Facebook Panel you download from the facebook website itself. Use the one located in the windows marketplace app. It's an app, not a panel, but does it's job well.

Seesmic is the best! And it integrates Twitter too!
I use Friend Me as well, but I installed FB 1.6 without issue.
Download the APK from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1142676
Email to your Gmail account. Open your Gmail app on your tab and you'll be presented with the option to install it from the App. No root necessary.
damn i was using friend caster and didnt really like the UI but i took bbeelzebub's advice and tried friend me and i prefer it much better than friend caster. thanks!
I was also using friendme and noticed that if you have friends that block 3rd party apps, you will not get thier status updates in your feed. This is not the case with the official FB (1.6) app

Facebook .apk running on P7510

I just installed for fun the Facebook app, on my vanilla 3.1 tablet. I snatch it from my Galaxy S2. I like how the videos open directly into Gallery... best is to use the tablet in portrait mode.
com.facebook.katana-4606-1.6.4.apk
Edit: actually only the real Facebook videos open in Gallery, YouTube will take you directly to the site.
I used Files from Market to install the app, the best manager for a tablet IMO.
Simply extract the app and drop it into sdcard, then open it with Files.
Facebook is best in browser. No App needed.
So is on the phone, yet you use the app... let me guess, you don't.

Have you been able to get the facebook chat to work in --any-- browser? I have tried stock browser, dolphin HD, Opera, and nothing lets me use the facebook chat, (you know the little popup window on the bottom of the browser screen)
This using the user agent set to desktop.
Everytime I manage to get focus into the chat window, pressing enter doesn't send the message.. nothing works.

Google Calendar issue after flash fix or use diff app? Feedback pls

Sync and everything works great, my issue is very minimal.....but I am a "details" kind of person.
To simplify my problem description.....when I was stock on 4.3, my Google Calendar showed a preview of an event when I looked at the monthly view. I have attached a sample of this that I found online, it is attached and titled "sample". Now that I am rooted and flashed, the same view only shows a color block for an event when in the monthly view. I have attached a screen from my phone with what it looks like now, titled "my calendar".
I really liked the text preview, so I want it back. Anyone know how to correct this? I hope someone has encountered it, unfortunately I just started using Google Calendar and I like it a lot so far. I guess I can be swayed to a different calendar app, if there is one better.......that meets my wants/needs.
Currently I am running HyperDrive RLS7
My current Google Calendar is version 201308023
I downloaded the current calendar from the play store.
If you use this xposed module

And change to these settings
You will get this
Play with the settings to get it how you like...

Use Facebook Without Messenger App (Android Phones) Newest Version

Just wanted to share with you guys a pretty easy way to use Facebook without actually using Messenger, no root needed as well. I am using latest beta and works fine.
This should work on all Android devices.
1) Download newest facebook version if you haven't
2) Download Messenger yes it's needed but don't turn it on at all
3) Download from Playstore Superlock Package Disabler (activate it as an admin: to let it block apps) using it you can also block bunch of bloat
4) in Package Disabler block messenger
5) Profit! facebook will now open regular chat instead of using "messenger"
Let me know how it goes for yall
Or you just install the first version of FB messenger and never open it or even sign in and continue using Facebook like normal. Just turn off auto update for that app in the play store app. It's a lot smaller than the new messenger.apk and doesn't require a third party app. There is a thread in the main apps forum.
I just made a shortcut for fb for Google Chrome on my launcher. That way Facebook isn't running all the damn time in the background
bbeelzebub how do you install an earlier version? every time I try to install it, it asks if I would like to install an update to the built in application and then fails. do I have a wrong apk file or should I do something different. im running 5.0.1

Here is the one I used. I just installed like normal, went into the play store like I'm going to update and long pressed the menu key. Up comes the option to turn off auto updates for that app. Unchecked it. Then I went into the app menu on my phone and disabled notifications for the app period.
Hasn't bothered me since and I use FB for all my messaging needs without using messenger. I've never even opened the app. Make sure you uninstall any version of messenger you may have previously installed.
so far it worked great. hopefully it wont force me to upgrade thanks
Do you know of a way to take messenger and facebook out of google play so it wont update? I used to use TI backup but now I cant use that.

Go to the app in the play store where it gives you the option to update, long press the left capacitive button on the bottom, up should pop a men to disable autoupdate for that app.
many thanks

Huawei watch Facebook messager issue

It tells me to install on phone but it's on my phone. How can I fix this someone else told me to download an older version of the app on app mirror I did but still no luck is there a certain one I need to download or is there another way around it?

Same here on LG urban 2nd edition
I think the watch app for Messenger isn't optimized for Android Wear 2.0 yet, as you know many apps were broken after the update where Google does not care at all.
try install facebook messenger version 122 on your phone and try again
The Facebook Messenger app on Wear is literally just a notification receiver, with conversation UI, and a nice little "Install on your phone now" screen. Found after doing some searching on Google that this behavior is common to the app.
