I don't.... I can't....er....what?

he wants to know how to write chinese on the x1, then he says thanks. I think ( limited chinese since I was born here xD)

well using english text to become chinese, sorta like pinyin input? I could be wrong..

well yeah, literally he's saying that his X1 is in english ( as are many of ours.. ) just that he wants to be able to "draw?" or input chinese characters. I guess he'd be drawing with the stylus? LOL... well anyways he wants to put chinese in.. and I've got no clue how =S

I used various translation tools and got brush to chinees which would be write Chinese; however, given how me may be phrasing his question he could be asking to flash to chinese - If he can't post in English (not knowing any English perhaps) he may want to change the whole language of his device so that he can use it easier. Just a thought.
We need better tranlation here and if not a Mod will probably close and trash this thread.

hey guys, "刷" in chinese usually means "draw", but right here, it meas upgrade your rom of your device.....
simply speaking ,this guy is looking for help for someone to provide guidence of how to cooking his X1 in to s-chinese rom.

LOL. Let me open a Chinese class in here. Unlike English, a single Chinese character could have a lot of meaning depends how it combine w/ other characters in the phase.
Direct translation of "刷" mean brush/draw, but it's a slang in this case/usage and it's basically mean "flash". He want to know how to flash Chinese Rom to English X1.

If you want to flash a chinese rom,you can search it in chinese sites.
you can flash it like any other x1 ROM.
如果你是想刷中文的系统，你可以直接在中文网站上找（假如找不到的话可以直接问我要，或者我给你网址）
刷的方法和刷英文的一样
假如你不知道怎么刷英文的，可以在这个论坛里找

I tried PlumSIP 6.0 and 6.1, and I found 6.0 is more friendly to those who need to jump between English and Chinese on the fly. Basically 6.1 is suppose to have the HTC black skin, and better word prediction, but it lost the language change on the fly via the au button.

in china Samsung Vibrant No 2.2 ROM (Chinese), can use English, but my English is not nice.

well, there isn't any Vibrant dev in China. Few people has tried to convert the amazing ROMs here into Chinese, and only the 2.1 ROMs. So he's asking if the devs can add Chinese into their ROMs, that's it...

Not sure about that. My interpretation would be that he is notifying that he may ask for help when Froyo is available in Chinese. How could English-only devs convert a ROM to Chinese? (That is a language problem.)

you're right, the problem is, even the offical ROMs doesn't include Chinese.
So a nice Chinese guy has converted the whole ROM into Chinese, that's how we get the JFD Chinese version. But it seems this guy is really busy these days, so there's no Froyo in Chinese so far.
What I've been doing, is introducing ROMs like Axura to those who's ok with English ROMs, and they really love it.
But fot those whose English is not that good, nothing I can do about it...

哥们你太搞了，学一点点英文就够了，不用找人给你做中文rom

I think he is asking for Chinese language pack be added to his ROM. Isn't language packs universal? i.e. works with all ROMs?
He said alot of people have the T-959s over there, perhaps its the I9000?
By the way, some of you need to be respectful of people who have limited english. I would like to see well you do if you had to contact a chinese forum for help.

I thought most Chinese's English level is good enough to understand the stuffs in the Rom. Or, you can just simply go to 机锋 or 安卓 to look for a Chinese version. I think they do have them.^_^

在中国，有很多人在用T959（不是i9000），大家不信的话可以在网上看看，很多人都在买，因为这个手机在中国的价格很便宜。
有人说去机锋或者安卓上看看，要是那两个网站上有比较好的或者说最新的中文rom的话，那我还来这做什么？我英文又那么的差，不是自己找丢脸吗？我每天都在上这两个网站，网站里有2.2板的rom，但不是英文的就是有很多BUG的汉化rom，比如说在中国，T959的GPS不能用（2.1的有些能用但是不是很理想），信号非常的不好，刷成2.2英文rom后能不能发中文短信？很是迷茫。我的T959是2.1中文的，对于2.1的中文rom来说我想我没用过flash大家可以理解吧，2.2中文rom我现在只能YY一下了，对于2.3的中文我连想都不敢想。
还有人说只要会一点点英文就行了，可是我一个上学没好好上，到现在快三十的人了，叫我去学英文，我真的学不进去。很多时候记住了第二个英文了，但是第一个就又忘记了。英文ROM不是不好，但是得看在哪呀，我想在中国很多朋友都跟我一样，如果能用中文的话，谁还选择英文？（毕竟国土语言看着亲切呀）

Sounds like he just wants a 2.2 ROM with Chinese support. Cut the guy some slack. At least he posted it in the right section. Most fluent English speakers can't get that part right.

Sorry to hear that. The HD2 section is probably the most chaotic area on XDA. It saddens me that so many accusations arise for a free project you guys are doing. Anyways, I just want to thank you for what you are doing.

I second that!! Really looking forward to windows 7 on HD2 will be an awsome phone. Keep up the good work, dont let people put you off!!!!!!!

It is indeed a very sad day for XDA-Developers. The Dark Forces Team members are pioneers on this forum and the forum would be so much less without the input of these members.

Really disappionting, but still thank you and other members in DFT for your great contribution!

This is definitely a sad day in the history of XDA's forum.
So much agressivity, brought here by noobs (kind of show off noobs that are supposed to own Apple things ) who are so childish and not patient enough to wait like everyone.
If you recognize yourself in this description, read carefully :
You have 2 options :
- you want win7 like all of us, but you don't have any programing skills : you wait for smart people to make it, kind and wise enough to share with us when it works (would you play here with your hd2 without all their previous work ? So they deserve respect)
Or
-you want wp7 like all of us. But you don't have enough patience to wait for DFT's release. So, rather than insulting or posting fake leaks or even claiming "I have it so I'll give you if you beg me enough", you should make it by yourself... Oh by the way : don't search for "tutorial to have wp7 working on htc leo" you have to make it by yourself!.
This was for minority of users here don't worry.
To other people : thanks to be that wise. You know when we should just wait. Any of you have, for sure, your own thing, knowledge to share. But you know to wait and rely on others
To DFT : I would understand if you give up... But you still have huge support here, and 90% of users here just want to thank you for all your work, for being able to go beyond when we think that all what's possible has been done

Most fans behave well and are overjoyed to interact with their celebrity idols, you folks just have to face it ... you're FAMOUS! Yep, you've got the same problems as movie stars and world leaders. They're out there behind the velvet cords fainting and screaming in anticipation of catching a glimps of what you have to offer... Unfortunately, a few of those spectators are rude and obnoxious. The overwhelming number are grateful you have come and graced our doorways.

I personally am' the furthest from partial to race..I'm American, my wife is Filipina..and I speak (somewhat) three languages, but I don't go into a Tagalog speaking forum and think I will fit right in..ALL languages have different dialects also..
PLEASE..stop making (how to do video's) in an attempt to speak English..if your first language is Hindi..then post in a Hindi forum..NOT an English speaking forum..GEE..QUIT thinking your English is good..
P.S. The Moderators will have fun deleting this post..but that's OK..I spoke/keyboard the truth..

Sir, segregation ended many years ago where I'm from.
XDA would be a complete and utter mess with different language sections. Info, guides, files would be spread out in multiple languages all over different sections.
And, There's rules here that the owners of this site created, like this one...
