a lot of guys want it...
so here it is:
install:
1.) uninstall the "Fix_on-screen slide"
2.) install my "Anti-Fix_on-screen slide"
3.) -> "only optional" install my black dialer once again - if you have the black dialer installed - you can find it under HTC - Blackstone - Applications...
If you are not happy, uninstall my version - then it use your original ROM files insteed and no hard reset is necc.
(language -> my version is i german, but this should also work for all other - let me know if there is a problem).

yes - me on my image it has this bug
Thanks so much, Camro !
Your uninstall cab worked. Videocalls are now accessible again
Shame and blame on HTC for this useless "Bugfix" !
Sticky this thread
Thank you Camro.
This also got rid of the problem for me too, which was caused by the slider "hot fix". For reference I'm using WWE 1.19.25581 from the official HTC Hong Kong site.
I suspect this thread/tool will become a lifesaver for many users!
THANKS!!
I ran it and it fixed the problem
Thanks! Worked
Thank you very much.
You will be quite popular I think
Shame on HTC.
This slide fix + the Painting problems on the HD are not acceptable.
So as Camro's ROM is German (and mine btw too), I was not absolutely sure whether I was inadvertantly shooting down the videocall feature, because this Hotfix might have been meant for WWE only.
Although it nowhere says so on HTC's homepage or in the instructions given.
But now as one friend here said he has a WWE firmware and experienced the same problem (and Camro's Anti-Hotfix could save him) we can be sure that this "official HTC Hotfix" has a serious bug !
I only wonder how things like this can happen to a big company like HTC !
Fix a minor bug (I did not really complain about the "slider", which was not working), while at the same time create a major other one.
(btw: Did anyone check, whether their hotfix at least really fixed the "slider problem" ? As I applied the Hotfix around midnight, when I did not receive incoming calls, I couldn't even check that.)
Ain't there no QC at all ?
While a few minutes ago HTC still had the Hotfix available at http://www.htc.com/europe/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=179&act=sd&cat=all
(but no longer linked to the Support menu) it seems they have just now deleted it !
Apparently they now noticed their mistake.
So let's see what kind of "genuine final" Hotfix they will provide us now.
thank you very much!
that bug realy annoyed me.
but where are we now? the slider is still laggy (i installed your cab without removing the slider fix) or it is ok and you just made the cosmetic rearrangements?
Thanks for the fix. Was annoying to see it on screen. Now looking lovely again
Thanks camro,good work!
After your anti-fix is installed and everything is working again can it be unistalled?

YES,
on uninstall - will delete the "new" ROM files and after that your system will copy the hidden (your original) ROM files from your basic image.
the related files are:
Windows\18c460d8_manila
Windows\HTCLTB.png
Windows\Incall_02_B.bmp
Windows\phcanhtc.dll
Windows\rilphone.dll
(BUT - only the cab-install/uninstall can delete the "new" ROM files

Strange...
Seems it's online again and available for d/l via this link - with the same timestamp and no additional comment.
So apparently the same faulty package.
I was almost about to think that HTC might read xda-developers.com and maybe adopt some advice from here. Seems I'm mistaken.

so camro, can you please tell me if your cab do justr cosmetic correction or uninstal completeley the slider fix?
in other words, after installing your cab the slider will be laggy or not?
thank you!

if someone wants to play with only installing one of the fixed files ... - let me know.
for me - i haven't feel a laggy problem - i only tested the install to help some users whcih had problems with the HTC fix and unstalling the HTC fix without a hardreset.

EDIT: if somebody wants to play with single files from official (buggy) fix - here attached all flies from the install.

Ok guys, I have been doing some research and finally did something... I think I just created a cab file that fixes the uptodate issue. Please try and report. I will be very happy if this got fixed once and for all.
Be warned that IE will not longer work after you install the cab, if you use opera, dont worry though.
install both cabs and soft reset. Then try your uptodate
Please report back. Good luck colleagues.
Please move to the blackstone section, I am sorry, it is too late (or early) and I am like a zombie right now.
doctorcete,
Good wokr
THanks for the files. I will try it out the next time i flash a rom. I am using edited miri rom now.
I´m very excited, just tried it in dutty´s 4.3 and it works, flashed miris 7.1 with 6.5 (with miris ie fix) and it worked., flashed Duttys leo r2 and it works!!!!. (it even works better with pie6 cause now, you can scroll tables and figures with your stylus)
I´ve been looking for the solution for a long time.
Tested with 6.1, 6.5, manila 2.1 and 2.5/6 worked every time..... just remember, no more ie.
hope us doctors at XDA will finally give this a rest and start flashing again.
Doc, if this works then u will be a hero.
Nice work, but posted in wrong forum. This is not rom development
Moved to General
well this is so fantastic
I confirm it is working in dutty's r12
thank you very very much and you are lucky because if you wer near me i would have kissed you at least 10 times.
you're the master of PPC doctors.
Thanks... Woks fine in my TP2.
God bless you doctor! We all solute you! I shall once agin shine on rounds because of you!
I confirm that it works on At0m's Fusion ROM for Rhodium.
It is funny to see how doctors may shine above most of Computer Freaks!
Thank you doctorcete!! It works perfectly on Yozgatz's Gen.Y ROMs and Manila ports!

It worked on my att fuze with Energy rom warhawk build 23016 and utd 17.1. Thanks a million. Maybe UTD can hire you to fix the problem that you already fixed. You da man!!
The Doc's cabs worked with pepid on HTC Fuze.
Wow! Have been stuck with energyrom 2.0 032209 on my htc fuze because that was last ROM on which my PEPID medical software would work with full function. Now PEPID is working pretty well with energyrom 3.0 genesis 090609 on the Fuze thanks to Doctorcete's cabs. AWESOME!!! Only problem is that I'm unable to scroll by dragging the text outside of the first screen. However, I can scroll via the scroll bar (a small quirk which I can live with). Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
For some reason it worked initially but then it stopped working. I have opera 9.5 included with rom and I also have 9.7b which I had as my default browser. I removed it as default browser and it seems to work by going to the agreement section, but when I hit "headings" I get the options to choose and after I choose lets say "dosage" then I get the black overlay screen and it freezes up. Sometimes I can hit back but i retry headings and it won't move. very strange because it worked right after the 2 b=cabs were installed.
Sorry to be a noob, what is uptodate>
failure to fix ie and uptodate, sorry, will keep trying
thank a lot works fine for me, excellent job
mucho suerte
Fix to UpToDate works in DX900
Dear doctorcete;
Excellent job! This fix also works in Acer/Eten DX900. My DX900 (with BM cooked ROM and SPD shell3, which support 2 sim card, One for private and the other for hospital work) is fully functional with programs of Handbase, UpToDate, and TT. Battery last 2 days with moderate usage and last 1 day in busy hospital work.
This will probably work in any other WM6.1 PDA.
Thanks again for you great work!
Thanks man... Now i'll no longer be a retard on the wards
Solution to have both UpToDate and IE 6
Hi,
This is my first post and hopefully it may be helpful.
I have created a nice solution in order to run both UpToDate and Internet Explorer 6.
What you will NOT need
1) You will not need Fix UpToDate by doctorcete.cab
2) You will not need to cook your own rom
What you will need
1) Fix IE.cab found in the 1st post by doctorcete
2) The files, which are attached at the end of this post.
Instructions
There are 2 different versions.
Version 1 - Best - If you use MortScript
1) Use the two .mscr files.
2) Each of those files contains a registry modification and after that it executes Uptodate or IE respectively.
Be careful: If you installed UpToDate in a different location than the default you should manually open and edit the file UpToDate.mscr and replace "\Program Files\UpToDate" with your installation pathway. (You can use Notepad to open the file)
3) You can use these files to launch the applications instead of the default shortcuts.
2nd version - If you do not use Mortscript
1) Use the 2 reg files
2) Before opening each application, run the corresponding .reg script
3) Files are universal independent on your installation location. Therefore no change is required.
I hope you enjoy.
Step2p
Good job mate, thanks! Will try it now.
A new thread has been created with fix to UpToDate which can be found here.
No need for 2 threads running simultaneously.

1.Additional Note: It has been brought to our attention that some users flash TEST ROMs and ask support for third party apps. This UNOFFICIAL ROM is still under development and you can't expect support from it. If you can't afford to have a buggy phone, this is not for you. By flashing this TEST ROM, it means you are willing to take the risks, solve any bugs encountered yourself and report problems to this forum.
2.Ensure your HD is unlocked and have flashed latest HSPL/USPL required before flashing this ROM
HOW TO REPORT A PROBLEM:
1. INDICATE ROM VERSION
2. DEVICE AGE
3. SOFTWARE INSTALLED (STATE THE SEQUENCE)
4. STATE THE PROBLEM
5. HOW TO ARRIVE AT THE PROBLEM (SCREEN SHOTS WOULD HELP)
6. IF SOLUTION IS FOUND, PLEASE SHARE
Thanks, especially Tristan, homer, Peter, JackU, Matt, George, Jan, Bepe, Ervius, Olipro, dirik, Touch X, just to mention a few (directly and indirectly) There are too many others to list.
ATTENTION!!
I will not be responsible for your device if it cannot recover from an attempt to use this or any other rom or software I have provided in this thread or forum alike! I provide all software/firmware as is and for your evaluation only, use at your own risk!
Please note: I am not here to compete and I dont care if you donate or not. These ROMs are built as stock as possible without major transformations inorder to keep the integrity of the OS.
Please hardreset twice after flash process has completed!

Certainly bigE,
Glad to you see you here as well man!!!! The good old Trinity days
Flashmore,
Just tested your rom very quickly, it's fast and stable so far and just few minor issues:
1. Start > Settings > Input is not available. You can activate it by deleting "Redirect" under HKLM > ControlPanel > Input
2. Connection Setup opens and shuts down - so I can't set it up.
Another thing, do you know if we can increase the number of 'shortcuts' in the home screen from 9 to 20?
i'm using ur rom right now and i think that thus far it's quite stable, (for the 45 mins i've been testing it)but it seems to be quite slow (dont know y)...i'll provide some more feedback later. thanks alot

Flashmore,
You moved from Blackstone to Leo ;o)
One question, which BT stack is in your ROM? MS or Widcomm?
As stated in your signature, I got an HD2 ROM addiction. But to make me keeping you as my doctor, it is gonna be tough as XannyTech's ROM are really addictive too because of their speed.
Thank you for your hard work.

2 - Have u added a manila doc tab in u new v2.2?

Flashmore, I have been using your HD roms, and has been loving as they are stable and fast. Looks like you have done it again for the HD2!
I have tried a handful of HD2 ROMS (WM6.5.x series) since the availability of SSPL and now HardSPL, and had experienced system freezes and even device auto-hardsetting.
I have started using your rom since v1.1, and now v2.2, and I have yet to experience any freezes or auto-hardsetting of my HD2. The auto-hardreset issue was really getting on my nerve and I became very paranoid about the hard-reset issue.
I have a suggestion though. It is possible for you to make set the band to default to Auto instead of the default GSM (2G)?
Anyway, keep up the great work, and I look forward to new updates from you!

Hi all,
Since I've upgraded my 32A to the new Radio/SPL and a HTC 3.05 based ROM, I cannot find some of my apps in the market anymore... and I'm trying to find why.
At first I noticed that I couldn't see any protected app with the official 3.05 releases (tried both Rogers' and EU) but I found that I could get them back by switching the build.prop with one from a 3.03 release as someone suggested.
By the way, if you search for "Topmarkettest" in the market you can check which app types you are allowed to see (they've made dummy apps for each type - paid, no-limitations and protected). Quite useful.
Here's a list of some of the apps I still can't find though:
- Trapster
- Layar
- Barcode Scanner
- Wikitude
- Real Time Traffic
- ABonEntendeur (ABE)
I'd appreciate if a few of you could have a look in their market for me. Please tell me if you can find these apps and the Android version/Radio/SPL you are using. It could be that a few of them are not available to the 1.5 firmware anymore (like Google maps) but that can't be the only explanation (as this happened when I changed Radio, SPL and ROM).
Thanks in advance for your help.
Edit : Just in case someone comes across this thread... I could fix the issue by installing Amon RA's Donut, launching the market (were it found the missing apps) and then reverting to CursorSense.
Hi everyone.
A few months ago i started cooking my own ROMs for Samsing i8000. With a little work i got my first few stable Lite / ULite ROMs with multiple addons, tweaks etc. running on my i8000.
Now i wondered if anybody could provide me a Sense 2.5.2019 (or newer) package for cooking into my rom. I searched through multiple forums without any results. Some other users gave me packages but none of them worked for me.
The ROM I'm running is JH2, Windows Mobile 23103.5.3.3. The i8000 resolution is 480 x 800 (WVGA).
The problems i encountered so far: When cooking in Sense, it showed up under 'Items on Today' but it wouldn't launch when enabling it. The only way for me to start it was executing manila.exe directly from the Windows folder. But then, every tab was just blank. The slider was there and usable, but every tab was just black, except the home tab which only showed the clock.
A German user provided me the german .mui files, but until now he couldn't answer if the .mui files caused my problems or not, but i think it has something to do with the packages i got.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Regards, JJ
