Why do you want to reset it?
Usually people do that to hide actual usage time so they can cheat the person they are selling the device to. Hmmmmmm?

SID and GID is clear, but that field is not really important, is'nt it??
Or is it a "hardware timer", so that O2 ot T-Mobile can see "...aaahh, that guy used his telefon a very long time...."
The normal timers i can switch in the normal telephone menu's to zero, or not.....

ahhh, now i understand what you mean. had that behaviour on my old imate.
I am not sure what caused this...it is a windows mobile problem and not device specific i think...
I did a hard reset back then and reinstalled all the applications.
oh no.. pls dont do this to me... i cant afford to hard reset..
anyone who knows this registry setting... PLS be kind to reply.

Hey Leo,
This problem happened on my old HTC Universal. I believe it was because I was playing with font size/settings. Try changing the size of the system font in SETTINGS --> SYSTEM --> SCREEN --> Font Size (tab).
This may help you out. I can't really remember what solved the issue, or if i even did solve it at all. It's a simple thing worth trying anyways...
Hope that helps!
what is the default size? my system is 9.
anyone pls????? it is getting VERY disturbing
leobox1 cant see the font size in numbers in here. There is a bar where you are suppose to adjust the size from Smallest Largest. Its right in the middle for me.
Hope this may help
can I asked what you have installed?
It use to happen with me on my old HTC Kaiser it was related to "D-PAD Scroll Navigation unded PocketIE" which I had to disable. Have you installed a tweak program which could have enabled these options?
hi
i have sktools
tweak2k
pocket mechanic
advance tools
in tweaks2k2 go to internet settings untick pie smooth scrolling accept settings and reboot then try and open a sms.
ARRGHHH trial expired.. cansomeone point me which reg key is it?
BINGO !!!
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Navigation
- Change the value of the DWORD "4-Way Nav" into 1
this solve the SMS halfway prob... but of course i do not know what this breaks instead
ty all ...
please dont request regs or warez in the forum it's not alowed and will if don
many times result in a ban
oh.. rudegar.. you mistook me.. i meant which registry key is for that tweak.. as my key is expired.

how to disable screen turning off during calls?

Can you help me?
I have tried " Duttys Disable Sleep in Call " but it doesn't work.
I have also tried to modify:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL
EnableFastDormantDisplayDuringCall=0
and:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Phone
Sleep=0
nothing to be done: it keeps on not working!
do you have some suggestion?
I apologize me for mine bad English and I in advance thank you
Hello, personally I didn't try to solve this as I do like the behavior as it is. But this topic was discussed here in Jade (same chipset and TF2D) forums and here is some tip too.
All registry hacks & Advanced Config tricks for keeping the screen on while a call is in progress do not apply to the Jade/3G.
However, there is a solution to overcome this annoying feature:
install Touch InCall Screen Tweak, and set the options "Ignore first screen off" and "Always On" in the options.

It looks like there is no confirmed solution for our devices yet though. (I know I didn't help too much this way.)
koilos: Why do you want to do that? I think, that disabling screen while calling is quite good feature, because I don't want to perform some operations with my ear . And if you want to do some operations, you can always short press power button to enable it.
Anyway, there are some interesting options, you can play with on your own risk, like
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL -> BatteryTimeoutInCall (default: 5)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL -> BatteryTimeoutSuspendInCall (default: 5)
I didn't look at that, because I didn't have time now. Number should be time in seconds (my device's display goes black 5 seconds after call connects). Maybe it will need restart after change. Maybe it will do something else.
I have tried to modify the keys that you have recommended me ( planned value 60 ) , the display keeps on going off after 5 seconds.
I have obviously effected the soft reset.
Thanks however for the kind answer, if I had to find the solution it will be' my care to post it

How to remove delay after call is over?

After i finish call i see about 3 sec delay, and i can't repeat call or any action.
How to remove it delay ??
(please if possible registry tweak)
You can change that setting in Advanced Configuration Tool. In the "Phone" settings, end call delay default is at 3000, hence the 3-second delay. You can lower than number in the settings. Works great.
doesn't work, but i enter 0 sec

Did you try 1 second? That's what I have it set to, and seems to be working well.

One thing to keep in mind is that when changing the setting, you can't just type in the number. If you do that the setting won't stick. Instead, you have to use the up/down arrows to set the value.
Did you reset the device? It works for me.
Works for me too ...set it to zero (by typing in 0) and soft reset ...no more delay ending calls (answers quicker too)
Am using R3AA
works really great! is there also maybe an option where you can get rid of that beep beep beep after a ended call?
Does anyone know the registry key for it?
Mine doesn't have the option in the advanced tab. Just 'Reject call with text messge' & 'Add new phone number to contacts at end of call'
its not in the advanced tab. you have to use Advanced configuration tool...
Use the original winmo dialer not the beautiful one
Im using the dialer from PocketShield which has a pretty nice look in my opinion.

The latest pocketshield even suggests to disable the beautiful dialer. Have you done that?
Hi,
I just installed Shaps Advanced Config Tool, but the mentioned option under Phone is not there. Is there another Advanced Config Tool I don't know about?
Thanks
Marc
Figured it out myself =) Used an old version (2.2) instead of the new 3.3.
nevermind =)

try hd2 tweak
Isn't there a reg key that can be changed?
Heared that hd2 tweak is conflicting with an other tweak app?

I think i've found the location of the sound files would need some one to confirm though ...
HKCU/ControlPanel\Sounds\DTMF
DTMF#
DTMF*
DTMF1
DTMF2
ECT.
Don't quite know how to disable though maybe just remove them?
OK i can confirm.. I just deleted DTMF* and upon pressing the * key it will not make a sound.
So just try modifying them rather than delting them.
why not just go in Start>Settings>Personal>Phone and choose keypad off?

LOL! Yeah that is alot easier
There's an easier way to disable the sounds when dialing a number.
Just go in Start menu > Settings > Menu (in the bottom of the settings tab) > More > Personal > Phone (next to Owner informations)
Here you can desactivate the keys sounds.
EDIT : I was late

I did something similar the other week. I looked for a complicated solution to a simple problem.
