home screen background - Touch2 General

hey guys and most likley gals.
i have a problem thats bugging me, i changed my background to a personal picture but when i scroll across my tabs to (for example) my email it shows the default background, i want it to show the same personal background no matter what tab im in.
i know its probably something really stupid that i havent done but i just cant figure it out
would really appreciatte some help on this
thanks

This has been asked and answered a couple of times here on the forum. You have to use m2dc(manilla 2d customizer) to set up a default background throughout manilla(touchflo). Changing the wallpaper only changes the background on the home tab and on the start menu. So set it as a wallpaper and also as a background in m2dc(which can be easily found here on xda).

You want to change the wallpaper of your htc diamonds Home screen right?
Thats what the instruction above does.
You know the menu icons along the bottom of your Home screen, as default they are, from Left to Right:
Home / People / Messages / Mail / Internet / Photos & Videos / Music / Weather / Settings / Programs
Its this Settings menu, or Tab...
Underneath there you have the following:
Sync Data / Sound / Wallpaper / Communications / Data / About
Go to there, then follow the settings as mentioned in the previous post. That should do it
i feel like....
such a prat....
followed instructions, sorted... now i know how too.....
Can you help with a good animated page to use as my homepage wallpaper...
Something like moving flames??? or something equally as spectacular...
suggestions....

Removing the Default Purple Background

I saw a few people asking questions about how to remove this and this is going to become more annoying when full blown themes are made but i figured i'd let everyone know how to get rid of the default background and just use the manilla default.
Go into
HKEY_Current_User\Software\HTC\Manila
delete the contents of defaulthomebackground and homebackgroundpath.
DO NOT DELETE THE KEY JUST THE CONTENTS.
Enjoy. I'm going to start moving my themes from the xperia thread to Rhodium Themes section and i'll include this modification in my cabs so stay tuned.
How do you set a theme .cab file to remove things from the registry? I have always wondered that. I don't want people to have to do it manually.
And I wish you would have posted this a 2 days ago as thats how long it took me to figure out... lol I just got it about 3 hurs ago... hahaha.
Now the only other major problem I have is to be able to cfc compress a theme that will work on the stock Rhodium.
I think if you just add these registry keys in and leave the string blank it will clear them out but i can't say that for sure. I'll post a cab of my Touch of Blue theme and see if people can use that
Bah. Nevermind. Wrong thread.
Sorry I couldn't understand the reason behind the thread? Simply you can change the wallpaper from the setting tab...
The reason for the thread is to inform people on how to go back to the default tf3d background. Changing the background in the settings tab only changes the home tabs background unless you have the background in all tabs modification. So for instance if you install a theme via cab and u've never made this mod then u will have a different home screen which doesn't match the theme.
Ok..
Thanks for the clarification...

request for a wallpaper random changer app?

Is it possible to have an app that ramdomly cnages your wallpaper background to a different one each day.
Wallpaper changer
Hi,
Yes is possible there is an app to change manila home background.
Your name is "Diamond Background Changer" I have found this app on this
forum many times ago but I do not remember who is the author of the program.
I put here the cab and, once again, I thank the author.
Lele.
thanks very much i will give it a go on tp2 i did find that searching but cause the tp2 is new i am always unsure if things will always work etc beacause its tf3d v2.1
thats for confirming the cab file n8
thanks to who ever made it!

wallpaper per tab

I can only seem to change the home tab wallpaper, and the lock screen one. I've looked and searched through forum and perhaps I'm just not using the right words when I search, but I'm trying to find a way to give each tab it's own wall paper. What am I missing? Is there a cab file somewhere? Or am I just being that dumb and not seeing some obvious setting?
I've had my htc hd2 for only a week and a half roughly, so I'm still getting used to it.
Thanks.
As far as I'm aware, there's not currently a way to set different wallpaper for each tab. The options are to have wallpaper on the home tab, with the grey background for the rest of them, or to have the same wallpaper on all tabs.
Obviously the latter is the more popular choice.

Background Wallpaper.

Hi,
I'm currently having an issue trying to change the background wallpaper on htc sense.
My problem is not the home screen wallpaper choosen by user but the fact that it shows the same wallpaper all along the tabs. such as in sms or settings etc etc... and its hard to read an sms or text with the wallpaper behind. I'd like to have it black like most roms have them and only the home screen using the wallpaper.
I'm currently using the latest energy rom (14apr.2010wwe)
Thank-you in advance for all help handed!
That is a feature of Background for all tabs.
You can try setting to default in Settings Tab\Personalize, select Home Wallpaper and when asked if you want to set to default choose yes.
Otherwise you'll just have to select a dark wallpaper.
You should also ask this in the ROM thread as there may be others with similar concerns.
