I just downloaded an installed the latest version Slide2Unlock 1.21 and I also am using the newest version of iLock. I am trying to change the clock to the digital style. I downloaded the clocks pack and placed the clockHS folder in the gfx folder of Slide2Unlock. Then I read that you have to go into slidesettings.exe and tell it to use the new clock pack. Well in my Slide2Unlock folder I have no such exe file and I cant find it anywhere else on my phone. Am I missing something here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hey,
I am a bit confused. The latest version of S2U is 1.05, posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381588
Check that thread for lots of helpful info....
unless you are talking about some other Slide 2 Unlock program.

In your /Program Files/S2U2 folder, you should have 3 programs, ilock.exe, S2U2Settings.exe, and S2U2.exe. Inside your gfx folder you should have a folder called clockH which is your digital clock. You need to open S2U2Setings .exe and scroll down to "clock font folder", set it to option 2 which is clockH, then save your changes and restart iLock.exe. If you dont have S2U2 Settings.exe on your phone, my suggestion would be to download the lastest version of S2U2 and install it on your phone.
He simply installed the outdated S2U.
Do a search on s2u2 and you will get what you want.

Don't you think it would have been smarter to bring this question up in AC's s2u2 thread. Why would someone start a thread about something that is already on the forum. Would it not make sense that the best answer would come from the creator or those using it. Daaaahhhh, you are living up to the first part of you screen name. lol

ROM Im referring to is HTC Juno/Phoebus WM6.1 Clean Developer Edition
I was trying to fix this and thought that maybe If I could use the defalut registry keys from an original unlocked shadow could fix it..
I went to Tmobile website and installed the default TMobile Shadow ROM..
I then copied the entire registry structure and all values onto my computer..
I made comparisons between ND4SPD's rom and Tmobile Shadows ROM.. and updated it with most of the default values that came with the Tmobile Shadows ROM.
I was trying to fix the MMS Pic shrinks up receipt problem and have not yet installed the camera cab that was suggested by freddy reyes.
I tried the MMS and still no luck but the camera worked and works great.. it works exactly like if it was running off the default TMobile ROM. All the same options are there so basically all I happen to have done is enabled the camera functions that were already there.
Im not sure which exact folders did this but if you ask I will post any folders and values if anybody else wants to do this.
I made an OEM package called T-Mobile Edition when I made the tmo edition beta rom. Whenever that is added, the portrait camera worked. Until now, I've thought that it was a dll that was missing and kept going through the dlls in that package but could never find the solution. Thanks for the info that it's a registry problem. I can tell you what line fixes this as soon as I get home.
I guess I'll try making a cab for the first time to fix this. Or get shadowmike to do it...
Nice, can you send to pictures to T-Mobile Album?
ND4SPD, If you give me a zip of all the files that need to be updated, and registry string values, I'll gladly make one.

I'm glad I could be of some use on this issue.. I have tried to make cabs out of the registry entries but not sure how.. i have two programs but when I do it they add an additional folder in the registry folders and mess everything all up..
To further more your comment yes..it was definately a registry issue....
Would you mind posting the cab on this same thread?
Thanks for the offer lbakalinsky. As soon as I find out, I'll post the files. Unfortunately, now that I'm looking at the files, it doesn't seem to be in the T-Mobile Edition package. Here's the only reg entries I have in that package:
Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\INCOMING\portrait\text]
"minorcolor"=dword:FFFFFF
"majorcolor"=dword:FFFFFF

The only reg entries.. do you need more from the original Tmobile ROM? If so let me know what entries and I can copy and paste..
The entries I made sure that got updated where pertaining to the camera and arcsoft (in hopes of enable to receive MMS, I can send out just fine) and the camera worked just fine..
sure, that would be great! Thanks for the work you guys are putting into this.

Let it be known that this is my first cab and true contribution to XDA
About the Cab:
With the Dev ROM installed, this cab will add and update the proper registry entries to the Juno to enable the default Tmobile Shadow Camera with all the functions.
Keep in mind that the camera is set as a Portrait and no the popular Landscape format.
Sweet, now all we need to do is change the background color of the menu's and it's all good. Well I"ll look around for a solution, in the next few hours. Great work.
EDIT:
Okay, to edit the theme of menu, we need to go to this section of registry: HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\OSDMenu\
So which colors would be best to theme the Camera menu?
A little clarification here.. Is this only for the Developer ROM? I have the 4.1 beta ROM, and I tried this package and my camera is still good ol' landscape. Ugh. I hate it. This is the last annoying thing I wish I could fix.
@ND4SPD: do you know if this will fix the beta ROM camera?
Thanks guys.
Bipinsen, did you install Freddie's landscape camera fix on the Beta 4.1 rom?
I used the developer rom, and I found out that I first had to removed the landscape fix before I could use the portrait fix.
If you can not remove the landscape fix. You might have to dlete the HTC camera setting on your phone.

I think I did have Freddie's fix, but I had removed it (and I can no longer find it in my installed programs). I took your suggestion and deleted the entire folder in HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera, rebooted and installed this cab. No luck. Something else must be screwed up. Thanks for the hints!

Who's ROM are you using? please post link to ROM or forum. It would be helpful to know that first... (some roms mite alreay have the camera set a specific way)
Then if you haven't done so already go into your settings and go under more until you find Uninstall programs and make sure you have uninstalled any camera cabs...
Then install the cab that is on this post.
Turn off and restart your computer to make sure it took the cab well.
This is the ROM I'm using. Let me explain what my gripe is.. You can take pictures in portrait or landscape format just fine. It's when you hit the menu or settings button, you have to rotate the phone in landscape form to read the screen. I don't like that. Soo.. I'm not even sure if the cab here will fix that.
Ok.. one other thing that I never really found out. Video recording in my ROM is only a fraction of the whole screen. Did anyone find a fix for that?
I read on the below mentioned page that adding new cities to TF3D was really easy, and they were right,
the only problem is that i don't want to install something that I'm only going to use once
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408918&highlight=weatherdatabase
So I created my own version, which does the same as the WeatherDatabaseEditor from andreas.falke
with the exception that it requires minimal user intervention so it can be used in SDConfig.txt or similar solutions.
Also if your country is not listed it will make a new entry in the country list.
It has been tested on my MDA Compact4 (Diamond + Dutty's V1.7 Rom)
And it works like a charm, let me know what you think
I'm not sure if it will work on any other device, but because the Diamond is the first of many TF3D devices
the generic "Development & Hacking" forum seemed to be a better choice,
MODs please move this topic if you think it should be in the Diamond App's section.
Currently you'll get a popup when the app is completed, I might change this in future version(s)
Don't forget to edit locations.txt prior to running the app!
Requirements:
- CF.Net, I tested this with 3.5 not sure if it works with 2.0
How To:
1. Save/Unzip (I advise in the internal Storage) just put the files in a folder.
2. Edit locations.txt, there are already a couple locations in there, Region is optional and first line can be ignored.
3. run CmdWC3.exe
4. To be save do a softreset
To Do :
1. Remove the currently selected Cities (or atleast an option to remove them)
2. Make popup optional
3. new version which has an interface, silent operation would be done by arguments "\Storage card\CmdWC3.exe Silent"
Any Comments?
Thanks to
R. DevilR for pointing out how it's done
andreas.falke for his work
idsk for the registry tweak
Garfield for his Tut (Yes i read that one too)
N2A for the website that makes this all possible
-=Edit=-
I've tested with some roms and here are the results
Dutty's Full 1.7 & 1.8 - Works
SwiftBL v6.0 - Works
SCv2.8 NL_Black - Fails
TLR 3.08.07.16 - Fails *
Bepe 0.97 - Fails *
DIB Diamond v1.22 neon - works (thanks Teto )
udK Syrius HD - Failed (Fixed in V5)
* issue is twofold, it looks like they use a different layout of the manila file... working on it
-=Edit 12.12.2008 =-
I recently changed to the udK Syrius HD Rom, but CmdWC3 didn't work, so
made a new version.
My advise, First run Version 3, if this doesn't work run version 5
Restart* and you should be able to select the proper city.
At least that was what I did with the Syrius Rom.
*I just tried with restarting TF3D only and that also seems to do the trick.
Please let me know if it worked (or not) and which Rom you are using.
Thanks
-=edit 01/07/09 =-

if so what is the foldername of the Windows folder?
I think the App cannot find the manila files...
hi, yes i have a german version, the bepe 0.97 ROM.
The Windows Folder is called "Windows", also standard.
but your cab .exe file is in the internal 4GB Storage, called "Interner Speicher" in german.

The internal Storage naming sholdn't be an issue, I think it has to do with Bepe's rom, the orriginal idea (and application) has the same issue

2. install WeatherDatabaseEditor from andreas.falke, the latest version is 1.1.
If it doesn't work (for TLR or bElite ROM for example), you can try this "patched" WDE (from PPC-Welt, it seems).

which one are you using premium, basic or lite?
I know TLR has tweaked TF3D to be uninstallable (whatever that may mean)
so there are some diffrences..
Could you check if you have the 2330fc3c_manila and _2330fc3c_manila (in \Windows folder)?
could be that they are hidden...
Just so i have it right, the entry does not show up in TF3D...right?
Also could you post the 2330fc3c_manila file?
Small update, I've checked bepe 0.97
it seems that he's using a slightly different version of 2330fc3c_manila
which doesn't have the Countries listed, also
the application cannot change the properties of the file to be able to write to it...
Checking if the Countries are mentioned is not the problem, fixed that already
it is setting the file overwritable thats the issue..
I'm sorry but i don't see a solution besides manually copy pasting a already fixed 2330fc3c_manila & _2330fc3c_manila to the windoes folder...
Sorry
maybe in the future...

I can post it but it could very well be my user error. I know that when listing cities in the U.S. the go in a little diffrently on all of the Accuweather programs. How is your command line program set up to recieve the US cities and I will try that first.

It is complaining about the ' character. I believe your SQL statement is getting confused by the ' in "St. John's" and "SAINT JOHN'S". You need to make sure when you read from the text file you encapsulate the string with quotes like "<string>" before you try to insert into the DB...

Well as the title implies im kind of new to do this and I been having trouble intalling theme. I install the cab on my phone i dont know how to activate it. If anybody could help i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
copy cab to your phone, (DONT extract it on the pc, the PC sees cab files as a type of zip, if you see 4 files with strange names, you extracted it,,, dont.) then open file manager on phone, browse to cab file, click to run it.
Thanks for replying but i actually did do that but it wont show the theme, is there something extra i have to do?

if it's home themes then once you have run the cab file, then go to your settings/ all settings/ home/ and you have to pick the theme from the list of choices/ press ok/ and then exit.
yeah i also did that, but t still wont show up. i installed over and over both on the phone and storage card memory, but it doesnt show up in the list of themes.
in that case now would probably be a good time for more info,,, what theme? are you running cookies? what rom?(are you aware that some mods only work on certain win / sense versions?)

would be nice to let us know what fixed it for you?
I apologize if this has been covered, but I can't find specific info with my search terms.
I'm cooking for Rhodium, WVGA, WM 6.5.x sys 21682. My base ROM is ATT's stock august 30th 2010 ROM. Using OSKitchen Zero, latest release.
Basically, I can't get any version of sense to work. I've tried cooking 2016, 2018, and 2019, and can't get any of them to work. The problem is that when I try to import the EXT packages with OSKZ, I get an error stating: "The OEM package you've selected doesn't seem to be valid..."
So, I thought maybe it was just being strange. So I placed the packages manually into the kitchen and tried to build the ROM and platform builder would hang and I'd have to cancel the process.
Any tips tricks or ideas?
Thanks a lot!
Smith

I'm not sure what you mean by sourcing exactly, but on my PC they're located on my desktop, and I've also tried placing them straight into my kitchen without using the GUI to do it.
I got the files from a post here on XDA.
Yeah, I believe I have all the additional dependencies as well.
I've been reading and it looks like I have to modify the app.dat file and some other files?

OK so you got them from XDA - as I am assuming you are not using the At&T standard ones. (that was what I meant).
The ones I got from XDA were already CFC'd and were already in EXT format not OEM and so did not need any importing as such, just copying into the directory.
I did not need to modify anything - cannot remember the thread I got them from tho.
I will try and have a look, but my kitchen is now such an amalgamation of packages that I couldn't be sure where it all came from.
Ahhhh ok, i was confused because it says's import, ext package then it asks for an oem location.
Ok, with that cleared up, place straight into kitchen, gotcha. How many dependencies are there, can you recall? I think i have them all but I want to make sure.
Thanks a lot!

Try looking inside the corrupt modules, then look in some clean ones, and figure out what doesn't belong. It should be obvious.

Edit: one last question. It's killing me finding all the WVGA dependencies for this package, they're all vga is appears. This is what I'm using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=797602
and when it lists the "required packages" when I download it it's labled VGA, not WVGA, and I think that'll be a problem. Will it?
Right, cooking sense is not my strongest point so I will probably leave it to others to take it further, but
Modules vs files - you need one or the other I think. Look up recmod and reversemod.
I just used a set of Manila files uploaded and CFC'd by someone from the latest official LEO ROM.(By Patensas I think) and maybe updated the HTC framework as well.

I have never had to recmod any of the sense files.
What you need to do is delete the files (ie the .dll) within the module. The kitchen will use the module to create the file on the device, it does not need the file as well. Hence the kitchen is giving the warning.
I think.
Hi, just re read your first post.
Could you confirm you have done the following:
Dumped the ATT base rom and rebuilt using just that with the EXTs that came from it, flashed it, and checked it worked? (So you should have had a working Sense in that) as per the Oskitchen instruction set?
If there have been problems with that, try ticking the box next to recmod on the Phone Canvas Enhancement package. I think there was an issue with the ATT ROM around this.

Yeah, I did that. Here's the weird part though. That worked the first time. But after having all these difficulties, seeing as I haven't made much real progress, I rebuilt my kitchen. Then it wouldn't work. I would get the exact same runtime error, eventhough it worked before and I've installed all the libraries.
So, as of now the problem lies somewhere with my kitchen. I'm trying to troubleshoot it right now.
Any ideas as to why that might be? I've tried the FAQ's in the OSK thread and haven't fixed the problem :/

Smith
No sorry.
I had some kitchen problems when upgrading from oskitchen 1.32 (tried to completely reorganise my EXTs at the same time and it went horribly wrong), so went back to 1.32 to sort it out and will upgrade in due course.
If platform rebuilder crashes during the build then you dont need to waste time flashing.
Disable all EXTs and build and then add them in blocks till you identify what is causing the crash.
If it crashes with no EXTs then try the original sys, and if no joy reimport the rom?
Are all the recommended packages ticked for Recmod?

Alright, so I've figured out which packages I need to recmod and have done so. I haven't found those leo files yet, but I'm looking. Just got home. I'll post back when I see how that goes!

I can't help you on Sense, as I don't use it, but why would you recmod anything? That's a bad idea. If you have a 6.5 kernel, use it.

Actually recmodding ATT Phone Canvas fixed the problem.
I was able to generate the ROM image with sense 2017 cooked in, but sense won't launch now. "Tap to Start Sense" so I'm double checking dependencies, exe and dll files as we speak.
Thanks a lot for all the help!

So i got sense 2017 to at least load. now, however, none of the softkeys work, and tapping on a message in the message tab doesn't work.
So far so good. lots of learning to do yet, but I'll get there.
Thanks a lot for al the info!

Alright, I can't get sense to work again lol. It just kinda stopped, eventhough I'm using the same packages for manila and its dependencies.
Any ideas?

Does anyone know how to cook sense with old kitchen style(build os) for Omnia II?
Thanks in advance
